  1. It’s not since losing Emil that King has become a scapegoat, a lot of supporters have been frustrated/ fed up with him for the last 3 or 4 years. For a guy who has spent the bulk of his career at Ipswich he is beaten by riders around Ipswich who he should be comfortably getting the better of. He gets passed far to easily & does seem to ride the lines that don’t work. As the skipper he can’t team ride to save his life either blocks his teammates lines or just clears off out front sometimes even passing he own partner. when the chips are down be that a single heat or meetings like the ones against Sheffield, or both meetings against Birmingham this week he just goes missing. I think he has genuinely gone stale at Ipswich & needs a move to revitalise his career as much as Ipswich needs the change too. We need someone with some more improvement in them next year. His demeanour on the TV against Sheffield wasn’t skipper material he looked beaten & downtrodden. We need our own Sam Morsy to skipper the Witches & that man in Doyle.
  2. Brennan for King in 2025 please the skipper went missing yet again!
  3. I don’t know about Bewley, but that is classic Danny King & it’s why the fans give him such a hard time coupled with his inability to team ride.
  4. Wouldn’t matter Eurosport/Discovery wouldn’t show the cup final it’s not part of the contract.
  5. Totally agree King needs to go, constantly goes missing when the chips are down & won’t team ride for toffee.
  6. Ipswich v Sheffield was last Monday on euro sport. It’s definitely cup final week next week
  7. That was a great effort from all the boys on Thursday, if Rew hadn’t crashed out we’d have won that…Can’t blame the boy he was riding his socks off he looks much more confident this season. Hopefully he isn’t to badly injured & will be fit for next week. Jenkins was good value again those last 3 rides were superb! I disagree that Thompson has gone backwards yes he isn’t scoring as freely but the experience he is gaining in the top 5 will make him a better rider. Nicholls just continues to be superb around Foxhall could really do with a squad system next year to allow him to ride when possible. King scored well & turned up unlike on Monday. Cook was a little disappointing but did look better in his last ride. Some entertaining racing & a decent mini come back from the Witches. I know Scott ran Jenkins a little wide on the second turn but after that some great team riding from him playing guard dog. I’m at a loss as to why the skipper can team ride like that instead of passing Jenkins & leaving him to it.
  8. I think a lot will depend on if Rew is fit to ride after that awful crash on Thursday. Hopefully Jordan can carry on his recent run of form those last 3 rides on Thursday we’re epic! I’m not sure if a team has been so unlucky with injuries as Ipswich this year Doyle out for the season, Emil possibly out for the year as well not forgetting that King,Thompson & Ellis twice have all been side lined at times this year. If I were Hawkins I’d just make sure we come though the meeting fit.
  9. Emil has been named in Toruń starting line up for the 25th August according to their Facebook page just now.
  10. Was Lawson available? Two questions around him firstly would Leicester want him to ride & help Ipswich win as they are going for 2nd place & an Ipswich loss could see us finish 4th meaning that Leicester would avoid us in the play off semi final given our record at their place I can’t blame them. secondly is Lawson able to ride as he was at Foxhall last week & with Nicholls guesting for Doyle does the 8 day rule apply to Lawson as he rode at Foxhall last week? or is the 8 day rule only applicable when guesting at the same track?
  11. I’m not getting all the promotion bashing at the moment. I have done my fair share over the years & indeed i did last year regarding the Riss situation. The fact that King will almost certainly be the first name on the team sheet for 2025 will also grip my s!&t. However this is the same promotion who have brought Doyle to Foxhall & then topped that off by getting Emil onboard. After years of watching poor top flight Ipswich teams having riders of the calibre of those two pulling on the witch is still sometimes dreamland territory. This year without all the injuries King,Thompson,Ellis x2 , Doyle & now Emil we would have walked to a double. Maybe after pulling of the coup of getting Emil perhaps they genuinely thought they could rework the magic & get Zmarlik over from for the run in. Failing with Zmarik & then going with Fast Freddie if the rumour is true would have been fine. Then the injuries to Emil & Adam hit. Lets get behind the boys in the cup final & play offs still plenty to race for before we look at 2025 & hopefully the 3rd year of the Jason, Emil spearhead.
  12. I really hope that you’re wrong although I have a horrible feeling you might be right . One thing is for certain if Emil rides in the uk it will be at Ipswich. Louis put a lot of time & effort into herring Emil to these shores to do that he is obviously respected by Emil’s own management & that of Toruń so maybe we can remain hopeful
  13. I can’t see Pickering coming to Ipswich but would certainly take him or Kvach over King next year both have attacked Foxhall in recent weeks.
  14. With both Jason & Emil missing the heart has been ripped out of the side, King’s interview after the match pretty much confirmed that. we can only hope that Emil can make it back this season & that both Emil & Jason can return next year. Those two have been a breath of fresh air & brought so much to the club. The reason King gets so much stick is because when you really need him be that a pivotal heat or like last night a whole meeting he seems to go missing. He has been on the wrong end of far to many 1-5s at Ipswich in recent seasons when the chips are down against riders he should be more that capable of beating at home. As for the track it was clearly set up to unsettle the Holders I’d expect more of the same for the cup final & play offs. Just need to get Belle Vue out of the way now & regroup for the cup final & play offs.
  15. So the chips are down & the skipper gets 5-1s against 3 times!!
  16. There is about half the normal crowd in tonight 3 home meetings in a week with the one on tv I’m watching at home instead of liv.
  17. Tatum with his made up rules the idea of putting someone off 15 when he fell off at the back & the incorrect graphics!
  18. Kvech will suit his witches kevlars next season
  19. Emil is a lucky guy thankfully nothing serious hopefully we’ll seem him back before long the guy is already an Ipswich legend. As for the track the dirt line build up on the outside is an issue didn’t Danny have a similar crash there last season although that time he was sucked into the air fence.
  20. Perhaps it’s been flood damaged during all the rain offs Lynn have had……or has anyone check the spares cupboard it could be with the spare pit gate parts.
  21. Also had a word with Kvach to keep his average low for his move to Foxhall next year…..Doyle,Kvach, Emil & Ellis up the witches 25
  22. Just out of interest anyone know what Scottie is averaging for us at the moment? I know his bookings for us don’t affect his average, it would be interesting to know given he has spent most of the time at number 1
  23. In Poland they do get help from the local authorities but then Poland does like to invest in amenities & the local communities unlike the uk. However I’m not sure they would get the level of support from the local councils etc if it was ran as a Micky mouse sport like the uk. I’m pretty convinced that if the sport was run properly in the UK & got some half decent media coverage & decent attendance levels the likes of Peterborough, Coventry, wolves would still be going.
