He was used many times as a guest at Ipswich in recent times, he definitely knows the quickest way round Foxhall and would be a good addition to the team.
I don't see why all the negativity, Northampton is easily accessible from many major roads, if you have been deprived of speedway I would have thought you would see this as a godsend.
Personally I do not see the issue, he only needs the 8 per cent deduction to fit him in the team as long as it is the rule that you get 8 per cent for missing a year.
Not quickly enough if you are a team manager, Glasgow picked Hodder who in their view has more potential, Oxford picked Wood and Ritchings who had points to play with so could easily have picked Perry, most teams could have had him, maybe get a team place later in the year for someone.
A team manager would want whoever is likely to score the most points and that isn't Max Perry, he improved his average by a little last season but you would not call him up and coming, if Workington were able to fit him in then Etherington would not have a team place, would Perry beat Etherington on a regular basis, not sure he would.
Plenty of other teams could have signed him but no takers so that tells you nobody thinks he is good enough. If he was on the way up he would be signed by now.
