Sweden Favourites?
foreverblue replied to PHILIPRISING's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Big fan of both but overall i think KK is riding better at the moment and possibly more suited to the track. It is certainly going to be a very close final. -
Certainly don't remember him being sold must of been one of Scottyfan's dreams, bit like his score predictions!
-
Bound to get a Max!
-
Although he was Chris Holders brother and obviously a talented family Jack Holder was far from being the next big thing when he was first noticed by Matt Ford as he was only 12!
-
Your not saying Poole has more to offer than Swindon are you! Shocking!!

2016 Swc Semi's And Final 29/30/july 2016

Never been a fan of Nicki myself and i have no doubt team unity is better without him and the riders can overtake on the outside! The problem is even a off form Nicki is probably better than Bjerre. -

Yes mistake by Denmark to keep same team, surely Pedersen should be in the team. -
Not many then
-
Yes quite surprising really, it shows he does actually care about the sport and willing to work hard for the cause. Most at the showground will still hate him no doubt especially as he seems to be working so hard for what used to be a rival club and didnt seem to when he was at Peterborough.

Elrc Brandon Stadium Sat 8th October 7.30pm
foreverblue replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think this meeting will be well attended and dont think the Aussies generally go home until end of october and there is no reason why any other riders cant attend also the issues about the stadium being resolved at least for next season could also help. I agree individual meetings late in the season are generally not at the top of the riders agenda but i hope this one will be different -
Jack Holder has been on Matt Fords radar since at least 2008 as there was a article in the local paper saying Chris Holder would love to ride with him in the same team and Matt Ford said he would like the Holder name to be synonymus with Poole speedway. Obviously there was a long way to go in his development then and still is but he is a star of the future.

Nice burger that will be the day! All you get at Brandon is a overcooked burger in a stale bun! I usually go to the Roseycombe for a nice pre meeting meal. -
Echo Kyle's words, great news for Coventry and speedway in general.
-
In my opinion Matt Ford has certainly planned for the future with Brady Kurtz and now Jack Holder who i believe will be as good as his brother Chris, Jack Holder will be better than Brady Kurtz in a couple of years time.

Poole Pirates Vs Coventry Bees 20/7/16 Elite B
foreverblue replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Bates looks quick when he gates but doesn't do much passing, not good enough for the squad yet but he is young and will improve so one for the future. -

Fair enough that is your opinion but i think Nicholls would do a good job in the world cup with home advantage. -

He had his reasons for not riding in recent years as have others previously but he is a Belle Vue rider and has ridden extremely well for GB before so he should be in the team in my opinion. -

Perhaps wait to see if his form improves because he usually pulls out all the stops when riding for his country. -

If you live in Poole you could go on holiday to Swanage, nothing better than looking at Old Harry Rocks on a sunny day. -

I seem to recall both gates were open on leaving so didn't take too long. i left after Heat 15 and didn't have much trouble getting out. -

He stayed for heat 15 so he didn't leave early, heat 15 was never going to go to plan. -

You can be left in no doubt Steve Shovlar was there!! And i believe he was dressed in neutral clothing. -
Surely there has to be pressure for any rider to perform, i did say before the season started he should have another PL year but to be fair to him he has exceeded my expectations in general and certainly deserves his place in the team.
-
Never said that myself, If he rides badly why shouldn't i criticise him after all he is supposed to be our best rider as well as being the captain.

Bates is no doubt a good young improving rider and looks faat when he gates but i have seen him many times and he doesnt pass much, he rides fast enough to keep the rider ahead of him honest but rarely passes.
