  1. Coventry could have called it off too but they would have lost the sky money so they didnt want to and made every effort to get the meeting on.If they had won would they be wanting it re-staged? They knew the turnout would be low, they could have reduced the price but chose not to.
  2. Surely with it being on tv they will demand it starts on time and continues regardless of the conditions!!
  3. I think we have a great chance to win this one, Tai is the best rider on show and if Hancock and a couple of Latvians get in the mix then it could come down to who gets the lucky breaks. We definately need our gating boots on. What i can predict is that if a opposing rider slides off while leading there will be a cheer, it won't be liked by some on here but it will happen.
  4. It is ridiculous to moan about it after the event, Sky can't make you run a meeting if it is unsafe to race, he could have made the track unraceable if he was that worried, dug a hole somewhere, it has been done before or got the hosepipe out.
  5. Disagree there, cheaper prices would have encouraged more to go as if it was a tenner then that is still reasonable value even if it only goes to heat 10. If he knew it would only last until heat 10 and was going to lose money why didn't he cancel it, it had been forecast for the weather to be bad for ages.
  6. I have already said i agree with Holder the meeting shouldnt have started as it was raining and more rain forecast
  7. Surely any investigation would have to include the opinion of Watt and Holder and Harris who by their actions thought that the track was raceable in heat 10,
  8. A meeting isn't going to be stopped prior to the start of heat 10 if heat nine has been completed unless there is a monsoon and while the rain was getting worse it did seem that this was mainly the decision of the manager. Considering the accident Holder had previously at the track you would think he would be the one to object if he thought it was dangerous.
  9. And a great ride in heat 6 to beat Magic.
  10. Could have had a lot less pages to outscore attendance!!
  11. I agree with him, it had rained and the forecast wasn't good and with no cameras it would have been postponed but once it had started it would have taken a monsoon to get it called off before heat 10. When it started riders were racing, Holder himself who you maybe could of expected to be a bit careful was on it straight away, banging elbows with Hans, was the track dangerous in his opinion? Was Harris asked or told not to ride heat 10, was Holder asked or told to ride in heat 10, he didn't seem to be fazed by the conditions in heat 10. The fact is Holder was willing to race in heat 10 but Harris was unwilling to race or his manager told him not to.
  12. Riders should be consulted but they do not make the final decision.
  13. OK thanks just wondered with the rolling average system if that was still the case.
  14. Question for you, f a team re-declares or replaces on a like for like basis, if a rider was replaced now would the averages for june 1st be used or the up to date averages used up to june 3rd.used.
  15. Perhaps Colin is the brains behind what Mick says!!
  16. Pleasing to see a good crowd last night, maybe encouraged by the good weather and reduced admission. If a team re-declares or replaces on a like for like basis, if a rider was replaced now would the averages for june 1st be used or the up to date averages used up to june 3rd.used.
  17. Follow the leader!! there was plenty of passing last night, didn't you see Kyle Newman in heat 2, breathtaking stuff.
  18. Good meeting, Janowski almost unbeatable at Poole these days and good meeting for Kyle, won last years title between them and looks like they will again, good to see Darcy again, cant wait to see him back on a bike very soon.
  19. No concern about 10 heat matches tonight and all for a tenner. Poole v Poole track specialists!
  20. Harris has had very few poor meetings at Poole, any team would have him as top of the list of guest options at Poole, that doesn't mean he will get a max as we have one or two riders who are pretty good round their home track! Are you on holiday because or just going to Poole because you might get some decent racing as you have said you rarely go your home track.
  21. There is no denying his ability but whenever i have seen him he has been excluded or hit the deck, he just needs to be a bit less wild and controlled. Exciting to watch though.
