Yes very true. Ditto any rider who was doubling up from last season. Yes very true. Ditto any rider who was doubling up from last season.

It isn't an opinion based on a team I support. That's quite a silly thing to suggest.I get that others, including Aces fans, suggest that it was the wrong decision. I don't have to disagree with that, it's just my own opinion. It's an opinion based on what I saw. I watched the Fricke crash on BT tonight, repeated several times and again another I don't wish to watch again. He wasn't in the wrong each time I watched it yet I got why he was excluded as it would have been wrong to exclude either 2 riders who were also involved in the incident. Yet Max did nothing wrong. It was a coming together and a racing incident. Same as the Freddie/Bjerre, a coming together and a 50/50 decision. Either would be unlucky to have been excluded. And of course I hope Max recovers well and is fit for the final GP.

Freddie has put out a video on social media of him walking and smiling so news is starting to look brighter. Let's hope we start hearing positive news regards Jacob. I still stand by my comment on it being meaningless but of course you are correct that it's an official competition so I fully understand some might see it as an opportunity to win an official trophy. The competition was binned for several years because no one supported it. Has there been good crowds to support this competition for it to continue? Genuine question as the crowd for the 1st leg at Wolves was poor.

I've watched it several times on broadcast. And was of the same opinion each time. 50/50. I've no wish to keep watching a crash that finished the season for a rider thank you very much.

No surprise. Somerset win, Wolves hang onto the aggregate win. -
I've watched it on BT several times and like ive said looks 50/50 to me. Neither clearly in the wrong. Freddie had passed Bjerre and they clashed. Either would have had a case to say it wasn't their fault. You won't find me wearing tinted glasses.
-
Both times this season you pushed us hard in league meetings. Not sure we had any luck however if you are referring to the Freddie/JT decisions the Freddie and Kenny one was 50/50 so luck could have played a decision there.

Your recent history at Monmore is superb, if you look at the league meetings. So you have riders who clearly ride the green very well. You just don't seem to handle pressure in the play offs, which is a completely different thing to signing riders that go well at Monmore. Something in the DNA of the riders or manager seems to be the issue.

Both sides decimated by injury. Suppose it could be worse, it could the final! -
Absolutely. Long term Injury replacement ONLY.If a riders rides again before season end the club should face a fine. That should stop any club trying to feign a riders injury due to poor form. A long term injury should mean season ending injury, with no hope of riding the rest of the season. A given seeing as the play offs start late September.
-
It has some merit so long as there are some easy to enforce regulations. Rider has to be no more than a 5% increase on the injured rider would make it fairly easy to man manage. The only downfall is how would you make if fair for teams who don't have a rich asset base? Seeing as numbers ones can be replaced by a guest there should be more done to ensure in a final that both teams have a fair chance.

I take it you are referring to the posts on the WOLVES fanspage in reply to moronic goading fans from Belle Vue?? like you say, don't go looking for trouble because you will likely start it. Sometimes saying nothing really is the best option. Some of the goading by aces fans on a WOLVES fanspage (yes that's correct a WOLVES fanspage) was beyond juvenile. Agreed. Absolutely couldn't care less about a meaningless competition that was binned years ago and resurrected for this year just like the promotion/relegation. No one really cares. We won't beat anyone at the Green without our top 2 so it's a completely meaningless competition for the fans and the sport. Aces won't lose it but no doubt we will never hear the last of it.

I don't think we choose the wrong guest tho. Harris has always been great value at the Green and rarely struggles so I fail to see why anyone would say he was the wrong guest. Nicholls has been average for a while now at Monmore. He scored 7 on both occasions for Rye this year compared to 7 and 9 for Bomber.

Not strictly true. Freddie was unbeaten at the NSS until his dreadful crash and scored a paid maximum in the 1st leg semi. Otherwise a brilliant original post. I have worked with Keith (start marshall) several times and he is one of the most experienced in the business. Isn't he allowed a bad day just like Bomber? I'm just sick of reading goading posts on social media from Aces fans. Sorry have to disagree with you there. Thanks thecoombdog, I've really always been pretty unbiased. Glad you had a great night. You guys deserve it for a superb season. Best team over the season.

we fell lucky I grant you. Will be interesting to see what the rules and regs are for 2018. All teams signed up for it so I'd imagine so. But of a farce tho with any team being allowed up if they want to tho.

In fairness we did okay holding onto riders from 2016.
