  1. In fairness Vaculik would have needed to score something like 18 points to overhaul Fred anyway. Fred would be back next year anyway as top Swede.
  2. Vaculik can forget about top 8 now, beaten by Watt. Don't deserve a pick for that.
  3. Congratulations Doylie, as expected. Now can we have more decent racing please?
  4. just don't get why Holder is seen as 'nailed on'. As had one decent season since he won the world title. There are more deserving riders out there. another I fail to see why he is a nailed on. Has been poor for several seasons. Iversen should be first Danish pick as has been the most dominant rider on the world stage and leagues. Brilliant. One of the best life bands I've seen. As for picks think you just can't ignore Lebedevs and Milik, easily the best 2 riders outside the GP's. Hancock is going to get one due to him being the outgoing injured last world champion. Then it's got to be Iversen as a Danish nomination. Assuming Freddie qualifies, if he doesn't then he will be nailed on as top Swede and that's where Milik is likely to miss out.
  5. Come on Watt, do the right thing and pull out and let the reserves take the remaining rides. It's embarrassing to watch. Enjoy your retirement, stop prolonging it. Will there be a pass today?
  6. The lad lived the vast majority of his childhood in Oz ffs. It's called having dual heritage. Bit of a sad and silly Woffy bashing early on. WTF is Watt doing in the meeting? Huge mistake by the organisers. Bore fest after 4 heats.
  7. That's an assumption that those averages still apply.
  8. Greg isn't riding here. He has no interest.
  9. It will be Monday or Thursday if the rumours are true about fixed nights for the top flight.
  10. Without knowing the points limit it's difficult to say. Plus hopefully our governing body will come up with a fair assessment for riders like Tai who isn't a 7 point rider, ditto Lindback, Pawlicki brothers, Madsen etc. Tai I'd welcome back if he was committed but not in place of Freddie (on the assumption he is fit to start the new season).
  11. And Tai has been spotted in the Wolverhampton area.
  12. Do you mean Piotr or Shamek? Piotr owned Wolves track within a short time so I'm assuming you are referring to his brother. Piotr is great on all tracks.
  13. Woffy will do what he wants to do although it's pretty clear he would prefer to be back at Wolves if he did come back.
  14. No one has an idea what averages will be used for next season for the riders who rode here this season, never mind those who haven't ridden here a year or more. Wolves probably won't have use for him if it's altered but on a 7 I'm sure his parent club would want him back.
  15. We have no idea what averages will be applied for 2018 for any of the riders. I'm sure any meetings he rode in 2016 will, and should, be applied if he chose to ride here in 2018. Let's face it, it's highly unlikely. I've got no issue with Tai being regraded to a suitable average if that makes things fair. So long as it's applied universally to ALL riders coming back to the top flight if they chose to. I see no reason why any rider who is GP standard and rides in the top flight in Poland and Sweden shouldn't be on a minimum 8 point average. So yes that's Tai, Lindback, Milik, Vaculik etc.
  16. as has already been pointed out, Wolves started at full strength in the first leg but lost valuable points by Jacob being injured in heat 14 and unable to ride with a reserve replacing him. ditto 2nd leg with Freddie unable to take his final 2 rides. so Wolves most certainly were not at full strength. yes it was me and of course it was true. Both sides pretty evenly matched however the Aces would have started favourites for both competitions because of them being the better side over 2 legs. Wolves missed out on 1 maybe 2 rides from Jacob in the 1st leg. Wolves were not at full strength throughout the first leg.
  17. No surprise on the result. I'm surprised we kept in it as long as we did. Congratulations to the Aces on the win, nice for them to finally get a trophy. Well done to our boys for reaching 2 finals and taking both meetings to last heat deciders. Huge credit to them for that.
  18. Quite possibly. Although I don't see the real need to bring the 2 leagues closer in strength. Just a personal preference.
  19. That's a dilemma. Poor footie or decent speedway! I dread clicking over as my Baggies can be hard work at the best of times. There was passing even if it was early on. Some close heats have seen it already way better than the bore fest at a supposed better track last week.
  20. I remember a day when it was equally as important as winning the league. I still maintain, do supporters really care for it anymore? It's not just this competition that seriously needs addressing. Get the fixture lists right for British Speedway and it might stand a chance.
