He is a Wolves asset so I guess top flight has priority.
-
He progressed well 2nd half of last season . What a daft thing to say.

I'm sure Howarth and Newman felt the same at Poole for years. It's a business game. I'd rather we had as many Brits as possible in all teams but they still need to perform or be replaced. Simple. Schlein is a logical signing. Riss struggled in his first season in the UK last season and starts reserve with the Monarchs this year. I doubt he can do any worse than we currently have been getting from our number 6. Greaves probably earned his stay with excellent effort on Tuesday and as the FTR representative. We still have a long wagging tail in reserve.

of course discussion is part of the forum! Just pointing out the flaws. Not so. Vaculik rides in the Czech Extraliga (his Slovak team ride in it) so won't be allowed. Likewise Milik. Zagar doesn't have a home league. The Danes are the most affected. Poles have no interest in riding here in the most. -

Aren't some forgetting the Polish rule? All these top guys being discussed still can't come because of the 2 club rule. So there is no chance of either Pawlicki, Zagar, Iversen, MJJ, Vaculik et al coming. -
Ellis was never going to live up to that average either. Hats off to Swindon for taking a risk on him tho. Wolves in the same position with Sqora although I'd rather we signed Ellis as the thought of his good work in 2016 coming to nothing would have been criminal.

Both scored 5 points. Tho that is probably good for him. -
I'm talking ONLY of the GP standard riders tho. Both riders you mentioned are clearly struggling. Got the stats? Grachan, it wasn't a personal attack on Swindon. Just a observation on those riders with ridiculously false averages.
-
The man himself has posted on here. He posted the information. If it proves incorrect you might have a point. Seems 'confirmed' unless it's changed again.
-
So your figures confirm that Fred is the highest averaged rider of the GP standard riders. Doyle still not at the standard anyone would expect. However perhaps on reflection Doyle is doing better than I thought. Thanks Grachan.

Wolves V Belle Vue 18/4/17

the tracks that are well prepared are often described as offering good racing. It doesn't mean to say that all of them do all the time. If course you are entitled to express an opinion on the racing on other tracks. I am not saying that. However when you add the nugget "compared to racing at the NSS, which are spoiled with great racing in every heat" it becomes redundant. you can't compare racing at any other track to the NSS because it's clearly a different level to any other track in the UK. Constructive criticism is fine however. Tut tut. Someone who doesn't reads posts very widely. I have mentioned previously that Wolves racing in recent seasons hasn't been up to it's highest standards. (Especially since the lodgers moved in). You only have to look back at some of my match reports in recent seasons to allude to that. I often use the phrase ' not the quality we are used to'. Tuesday for me had some excellent battles. Sorry if that offends you for suggesting it was a good meeting. However I would suggest reading posts wider before you make pathetic accusations. -
You will have to ask him as it's clearly been confirmed.
-
Who knows why but the man himself has confirmed that 4.8 will be his new average when the new averages change. It's like saying all the rules are meant to make sense, if only!
-
I'm talking about our STAR GP number ones. I made it clear in #316 who I meant. Haven't seen any of the teams current running averages. Doyle must be significantly under his ridiculous 13+ point average. I'm not having a go at any one team. It just seems funny give that our league is at it's weakest ever and these world class riders are scoring 5's and 7's. Seems very odd.

There are plenty of wolves fans who will say the racing hasn't been at its highest standard for a couple of years and the bikes now may play a huge part in that. However it's worth noting that quite a few riders just don't know how to set their bike up for Monmore. That has little to do with the bikes and silencers changing in recent years. Smith could barely turn the bike in heat 2 but that's more to do with the track being much gripper than he is used to quite probably. The bikes seem to perform better on slicker tracks which for me is a shame. Tracks need dirt on them to provide entrainment throughout the meeting IMHO. A track like the NSS will provide entertainment slick or grippy dependant on the skill of the rider. -

Our tracks have always been different shapes and sizes hence why everyone wanted to ride over here for education. And for me That's the beauty of our leagues. Bikes are more volatile i grant you but for me the good riders know how to ride technical tracks as it's it own art form in itself. That's why I prefer watching racing on a smaller circuit. You get to see who has a good technical ability. Nothing personal either. -
What do you want a pat on the head. You said wolves would be 3rd in your predictions then 5th a week later. Difficult to know what you mean most of the time.
-
Top line as in GP standard, which those are not. Bjerre possibly.
-
Seems Freddie is the only top line rider performing well at the moment. Looks like Poole, Kings Lynn and Swindon are trying to reduce their number ones average to buy more points in a few weeks.

He wasn't at Wolves. Barely an ember. -
it was always going to be 50/50. Plus on a reduced average it was worth the gamble. Guessing.

I'm happy with what I have to watch yes thanks. In a perfect world every track would be perfectly prepared and all the star riders would be here. I'm thankful what I have. Ask the many fans who are trackless. The NSS is an example of what can be achieved. It's hardly likely to be repeated at many other tracks. I'm sure there are many tracks that you visit that you may deem inferior. But if the fans are happy enough to support their local track it's pretty demeaning to tell them your product is rubbish. Be grateful you have what you have and you aren't a Coventry fan, for example. -

We get it, the NSS is the best place to watch speedway. However I am more than happy with the racing i watch weekly at Monmore. Unless all the tracks rebuild it's not a likely example to follow tho is it. -
