  1. which would make Tai's 2014 average even more credible. I only want a fair and credible assessment when it comes to regrading. IF Lindback had come back on his lower average it would have made more sense than the ridiculous 7 point figure. We either regrade EVERYONE fairly so that all clubs get fair treatment or we carry on making up rules to suit. IMHO anyone coming back to British speedway or doesn't have a recent average should be an 8, that would include Woffy. Some Poole fans are somehow using Tai's real average as a credible argument in defence of this 7 point assessment when let's face it if Antonio came back on his 6 something average gained at belle Vue they would be in no position to judge. My argument is with those making these ridiculous rulings and not any one club or rider.
  2. You mean he came in on his 2014 REAL average. And YES he was that poor in 2014 in the EL, anyone claiming it is false clearly has selective memory issues. Riders SHOULD come in on their real averages if they have ridden here before. You either use riders true averages (Lindback was 7.94) like wolves did with Tai or you use their average from meetings ridden that they failed to complete enough matches for a new one like Wolves did with Piotr in 2014. Both can't be right so which is your preference FB?
  3. So long as assessments or recalculations are done fairly. Piotr came in on a 7 in 2014 due to his previous form and average over the time spent with Coventry but more importantly Poole. As a 19 year old promising Pole who was nothing like the rider he is today some were saying heck doubt achieve that and it was too high. As it turned out he was correctly assessed. So that's for a promising Polish youngster who had shown form previously. Seems perfectly fair and reasonable. So that seems the MINIMUM set standard. Then in 2015 GP rider AJ returns to British Speedway after a lengthy time out on a reassessed 9.03 which again seems fair given that new top standard riders have previously been assessed as 8. Certainly the 'standard' and logic seems to be transparent and fair. Then lo and behold Lindback comes back to British speedway as a (none) long term injury replacement and apparently all those previous transparent and fair assessments go out the window as the new standard is 7, and that will apply to ANY rider out of British speedway or new to EL. So suddenly riders like Dudek, Vaculik, Nicki Pedersen and you can make an argument for any world class rider like Hancock, Hampel, Zmarzlik. Now we have gone beyond logic and transparency.
  4. Yea, seen the Lakeside press release. Seems likely I guess which for us is a great booking if it proves to be correct.
  5. And the current world number 8 is assessed as a 7 point rider, only in British speedway.
  6. Nothing is confirmed. The usual putting 2 and 2 and assuming it's 4.
  7. Like this more You clearly haven't watched Thorssell at Monmore. At best like for like replacement unlike anyone who replaces Bjarne. Prefer the A.
  8. Jon Cook : "hello Chris mate, tonight is off. Any chance you are free for this Wednesday?" Bomber : "soz mate , Wolves have already asked me and booked me so I cant". Jon Cook : "I half expected that to be the case anyway, good luck".
  9. Tonight WAS,IS only for one night same for any other meeting. There is no such thing as a long term guest. No hand on heart point needing making. Fans of either club or other clubs may say that it's unfair but in reality it isn't. Difference is I and I suspect other posters wouldn't be surprised if Poole tried the same trick and no doubt you would say the same thing as me, hand on heart. Maybe it's called being out-pooled. A huge loss around the Green. No real adequate replacement however Bomber comes close IF this is confirmed.
  10. the guests situation was for tonight only, no long term deal was in place. It's a free for all for the rearrangement. It's not like Wolves are getting a better rider in replace unlike cough cough Tungate. At wolves it's a like for like replacement if that is indeed true. Nothing to feel sorry for lakeside for.
  11. Classic, he can't even tell when someone is agreeing with him. The gift that keeps on giving. Just waiting for the usual attack of mo#ons, cre#tins and id#ots in reply. Sums him up perfectly. He attacks without even reading (and I use that term very loosely).
  12. Poor Bjarne, the first rider to ever ride with an injury. what an inspiration to us all. How lucky that there is a much better rider on stand by tho.
  13. Correct, for the 3rd time I have already stated that. Time to move on. #prayingforbjarne
  14. We had it for the whole of 2014, that's why his average is as low at it is.
