  1. Yes of course. Ulamek would have got double figures to have made all the difference. The same Ulamek that has scored no more than 6 at home this year? Absolutely priceless, thanks for the laugh.
  2. Don't the reserves have to have ridden 2 home matches before they get a chance to move up, of is there a new complication to the already complicated rule?
  3. Irrelevant IMHO. Swindon (2nd in the table) couldn't win at Leicester whilst Poole and Kings Lynn could only manage a draw.
  4. I support the Brits in the World Cup (as they are racing for their nationality ) whilst individually they are racing for themselves (club OR nationality then both apply). Lots of things Tai has done I disagree with but accept an understand his reasoning so always support him individually however if both were in a GP final I'd pick Freddie over Tai. Why? Fred has besides one season ridden a vast majority of his career at Wolves and no other British club. Tai chose to ride half the amount of seasons with Wolves and then ditch the EL and Wolves when he had had enough. Freddie therefore is more deserving of my support individually if I had to choose one which of course I don't. With Freddie likely to be standing down in the GP's now my support with revert back to Tai as a second best Wolves legend. I will Bomber to do well in any GP because he is a brit but he gets my full support in the World Cup.
  5. Wolves win as expected and return back to the top of the table. Happy days. Nice way to return from my trip to Poole today.
  6. Looks like the positive Lakeside start to the season is quickly fading. A surprising win for the Bees all the same.
  7. Was hoping to make the journey across for this one but I'm in Poole so will have to make the B journey or the re-arranged fixture if weather gets its way. 42-50
  8. Good to see a club make the effort to get a match on despite the rain and poor forecast (EL promoters take not). Track obviously slick and dusty (feel they could have watered from 7PM onwards as dark clouds passing over). A slick track played into the hands of the away side however take nothing away from Bewley who was awesome for a relative newcomer. Hope it's good news for Tom as that was a heavy get off.
  9. I'm with you on this one. It's no wonder the sport is shedding fans when they have no idea if a match will even get going if the weather is iffy. Just to go on a forecast is beyond iffy IMHO. I have seen several matches that got an early call off only for the weather to improve. The reasons of inconveniencing travelling fans and not enough time to prepare a track is extremely iffy again IMHO. It's becoming a sport that you only bother to go to if the weather is fine. Not a way to run the sport AFAIC.
  10. Certainly adds context instead of selecting one good score!
  11. no worries, my pleasure. He did, with Freddie closing in on every corner.
  12. Isn't it time you stopped saying the same boring things about Tai over and over again and boring the pants off the forum. Time to grow up isn't it? We all know what most people on the forum think of you anyway. Nothing will change. Any reason for quoting my post with no comment?
  13. Well my prediction of 59-33 wasn't all that far out at all! One way traffic for the underdogs of the year so far against a truly dreadful side. Track was awesome tonight with quick times all evening , just one time over 56. Klindt was impatient at the gate all night, I counted 3 jumps and rightly got excluded in heat 2. Heat 4 was bizarre with the slowest bike lay down ever! Wozniak caught Starke's back wheel that straightened him up and he was sent out wide and what followed was an almost slow motion get off the bike. Rightful exclusion. Starke's disq however wasn't as clear cut to me as Ash gave him a bit of a nudge however the fall was a pretty easy get off so perhaps the ref saw something I didn't. Thorssell made a great pass on Hougaard in heat 6 on his tactical. Bech added a fine pass in heat 9 to take his 2nd win. Whilst heat 14 was the move of the night as both Wolves slipped under Wozniak in one go. Breathtaking. Great weather and excellently prepared track however the crowd was nowhere near what it was for Poole. A decent amount of Leicester fans made the journey but it wasn't pretty viewing for them sadly. As usual it's the reserves who are the strength for the Lions.(12-13) So wolves return to the summit, happy days. WOLVES FAST FRED - such speed again with a perfectly executed pass of Watt in heat 13 . Just dropped the one point. 4/5 KYLE - looking quick enough and paid 6 holds his average , in the mix most of the night. 2/5 JACOB - absolutely superb tonight and dropped just one point, always a threat behind. 4.5/5 MOTM SAM - lost his maximum in the final heat but had looked a threat all night. 4.5/5 MIKKEL - 2 great wins but poor in the reserves heats. 3.5/5 ASH - certainly a better bet than Clegg. Very much in the mixed besides heat 12. 2/5 LIONS Hougaard - looked quick and threatening till his last 2 heats and gave up after 2 laps in the final race. Just got beaten by better riders on the night. 2/5 Auty - beat Morris just so in general a poor night. 0.5/5 Summers - one race a world beater and nothing in the rest. Very strange trying to work that out.1/5 Wozniak - seemed to get better each race but got stunned in heat 14. 2/5 Watt - did well in heat 13 however nothing else. 1/5 Klindt - just can't stay still at the start. Did better in his last 2 races . 2.5/5 Starke - genuinely their best rider on the night. Quick and stylish around Monmore. 3.5/5
  14. I've been wrong many times, but then if you read the forum widely you would know that. One L in always . And you think you are right calling Tai out all the time, you're point? Troll off.
  15. You always need to post the same guff about Tai and ignore the glaringly obvious posts that correct you. There is no question who is pathetic. Anyway let's get this thread back to the meeting.
  16. The only issues I have are with people quoting stuff that is obviously wrong, you must be used to that by now. IF the Lions win and IF Freddie only scores 6 it will be a huge turn up for the books. It will be the first time wolves haven't won at home this season and the first time Fred hasn't scored well so far. Maybe you might make a valid point IF that were to happen. Don't forget to add another attacking Tai post and ignore the fact that Nicholls and all recent World Champions haven't supported the Ben Fund either now won't you?
  17. It isn't at all being angry. It's standing up for something I believe in. I could ask why you keep banging the anti Tai drum but I know you like to attack for the sake of it. I would say it's you that has the real issue but I'd be wasting my breath.
  18. And every world champion since its inception. Unless you want to remain a hypocrite.
  19. And are you seriously trying to tell anyone that Freddie is as bad as last season? Which surely is your point that he is in a steady decline? Hancock went many a year in decline on the World circuit before a sudden renaissance so when I say Freddie is back to form this year anyone would be foolish to argue against it on performances this season alone. He isn't having the odd good meeting and race that you previously claimed. He is having a good year which belies your viewpoint don't you think? We're you at the meeting that Ellis beat Freddie in?? If you were you give Ellis little credit for a great ride that night. Freddie was shoved out wide on the opening bend and the track gave little passing options that night. A huge moment for Ellis, but it takes nothing away from Freddie's year so far. But I know you need some crumbs to hang onto to continue your weak standpoint.
  20. That's the spirit, keep trotting out that same worn out line. Meanwhile 7th in the world right now and consistent form proves the opposite. Thank you very much.
