Wolverhampton V Poole. Ela 2/5/16
stevebrum replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It is and it isn't usually a problem. Doc is often there early Monday working on the track all day, that's why we have been voted best race track several times in the most recent seasons so the issue isn't the greyhounds. The 2 matches so far this season have been lacking in the usual high quality we have come to expect and I'd rather we win by 2 and have a great track than the runaway wins with minimal passing. -

I am used to reading stupid posts , they are 90% yours. How do you know both of those are 'nice' people? Have you meet them? Briggo comes across as odious to me at times. And yes I spoke to him once and was completely disinterested. Whereas Tai was superb. He always misses the point, but at least it's good comedy. -
Expected result well done to the Robins. Let's see if they can live with the better teams later in the season. It comes to something when Coventry make Leicester look good. Besides Harris dreadful all the way thru. Although the reserves scores tonight should have seen the Bees win if the rest were up to the task.

Wolverhampton V Poole. Ela 2/5/16
stevebrum replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Poole are still favourites as well you know , nothing has changed. However whilst I expected us to win nobody would have said that kind of thumping. The pirates were gating but just being outsmarted time and time again. The track proved tricky got the first 4 heats and provably just a little too loose and deep. Some Poole riders should hang their heads in shame for giving little effort as there was a good smattering of Poole fans they let down badly. Not a classic meeting by any stretch with some races well spread out. But a big bank holiday crowd will have seen just how good Wolves are this season and to thump the champions and favourites was a nice bonus. After the first 3 heats I thought we had a battle on our hands for a change however that challenge folded mid way thru, in particular giving a TR to Watt's poor replacement - how we chuckled. hope Adam is ok as that was a nasty tumble. Lovely chatting to a couple over from Brisbane and tonight was their first British track hopefully it didn't disappoint. Good friends of Darcy's dad George. WOLVES (table toppers) FRED - a decent night for Fred, although took 2 heats to warm up. 3/5 SAM - another solid night for Sam, don't expect a maximum every week but for me was one of the most underrated signings in the EL. 3.5/5 MIKKEL - either poor or decent, can see him spending time at reserve soon. Yet to really impress. 2/5 JACOB - dropped a solitary point to Hans. Quick and assured and much more dangerous in a second string role. 4.5/5 JOONAS - certainly loves exploiting the many passing lines although not as prolific paid ten is still a great score all the same. 2.5/5 MAX - mostly out his depth at this level although a great effort to hold 3rd in Heat 12 saw him lose it at the chequered flag. 1/5 KYLE - excellent night for the top reserve in the EL. Surely he will move up now after 4 matches? When? Beat Pedersen, Buczk to boot. 4.5/5 MOTM POOLE (title favourites) Holder - one race he gated and won well , the others not even bothered. A disgrace for a GP rider. 1/5 Buczkowski - put in some effort at least and won heat 1 well. 2/5 ELLIS - impressed. Very assured riding and gating in his 3 heats. Hopefully he is ok after his akward spill 3/5 Pedersen - what's the point. I'd say dreadful but that flatters him a little. 0/5 Andersen - superb. Fast and chasing when behind. A pirate with pride (a rarity tonight) 4.5/5 Kurtz - unlucky in heat 5 so would have scored more. Certainly tried although besides one heat was owned by the Wolves top reserve. 2.5/5 Kerr - was never going to do what Kyle is capable of but was beyond ordinary all the same. 0.5/5 -

Wolverhampton V Poole. Ela 2/5/16
stevebrum replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The BSPA have complicated the rules so much that there will be an explanation somewhere that will, be used as rules are so vague they can adapt an answer to suit. In real terms Kerr isn't as good as Newman in the EL but at least it's a suitable guest option. -

Every reason given the vile forecast and the promoters need to call off in a heartbeat. I just hope the weather isn't as bad as predicted. -

That's you're personal opinion and isn't a definitive one. I don't see Tai as arrogant, and I do believe I am entitled to that opinion without being questioned constantly. We all get it, you think Tai is arrogant but not everyone shares that opinion irregardless of your examples. There is a fine line between arrogance and confidence I agree and we are on different sides of that fence. The turbo twins were way more arrogant in my opinion. (and you will probably disagree with that too. You are entitled to.) Just move on having agreed to disagree previous. -

Likewise I have given Tai stick as well. I will just beg to differ on the later. Darcy always used to come across an arrogant oaf (past tense) whilst Tai has always been super confident (not arrogant to me ). So no blinkered opinion from me either. So I'd say the turbo twins were more arrogant and obnoxious. Again all past tense. -

They have been worse . Who can forget their despicable attack on the city of Birmingham. One of many of their arrogant posts on social media. It's quite laughable having a go at Woffy yet conveniently ignore the shortcomings of you're own . -

I'm nobodies shadow . You constantly troll on and on with your opinion saying it over and over and ignoring the fact that others pull your reasons apart and shows you up for being a Tai troll and hater. I notice you like posts that try but fail to prove your point and like posts when others have a go at a poster. Try not be a hypocrite perhaps. -

Swindon should win this against a poor team however they aren't convincing either. 43-47

Could Woffy Be Making An El Return?
stevebrum replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Who knows the real reason and I'd guess money plays it part. Personally speaking I thinks demands on the GP with extra dates added over recent years plus with Poland becoming the biggest player and the UK much lower down the pecking order plays a huge part. Plus back then everyone seemed to want to get some education on UK tracks so most of the top boys and youngsters would want to be here. I think the likes of Greg and Nicki showed you could still be the World's best without needing the UK and it seems to have been adopted as the culture. I would imagine Polish speedway culture has changed as well because virtually all of the best rode here and it was almost expected and encouraged by all speedway nations and now that seems to be virtually none existence. -

Wow, nearly half from 6 seasons ago. Doesn't that tell you something? Jonsson had about 6 seasons out until last season, Zagar has missed a few seasons here and Iversen wants out. Thanks for helping me prove my point tho. -

More are not doing the EL. They are all probably sick to death of being ignored by the BSPA , bit like the amount of fans who can't be bothered to go anymore too I'd say. -
He is really just a second string. Never has seemed to step up to EL H/L.

Could Woffy Be Making An El Return?
stevebrum replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The riders keep saying the same thing. Too many matches, too many racenights. Nowt to do with money IMHO. Poland and Sweden both have shorter league programmes and all the top boys ride . And they know there race nights too. And get better crowds too. Something to learn from AFAIC. -
Could Woffy Be Making An El Return?
stevebrum replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That's a fair point and I'd rather he drop Sweden and do the EL. However what he is doing is the same as ALL the rest. That's proves who are at fault really. -
I think you are still missing the point. Garrity said he didn't want to do another season as a EDR and wanted to test himself in the 1-5. Of course he would get that chance this season if he started as an EDR. However here lies the crucial part to me and i think he probably wanted a proper starting wage not an EDR one. And I think he is right. Why should he be paid a lower wage for doing something he feels he is already capable of? Unless Cov offered to pay him a proper wage and start in reserve then there might be some merit. Do we really think the EDR riders suddenly get paid more even when riding as heat leaders??

And Nicki, and Greg, and Jarek and now Niels and many others. Why can't they ride for the 5 easy minutes in the UK as well? ? I guess you've trying to say that all those riders are making excuses too - am I right??? Well, no as it's just a chance to attack one rider. No wonder no one takes you seriously. It's at least comical reading seeing you proven wrong each time to back with another spade to dig a bigger hole. -
Wolverhampton V Poole. Ela 2/5/16
stevebrum replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Poole haven't been convincing away so far So I think that's about right. One thing tho is no team will take Poole lightly this season or should they. However I rate belle Vue more dangerous at Monmore tho.
