2017 - 1 Or 2 Fixed Race Nights And When?
stevebrum replied to 1 valve's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
On I don't know, the PL one must be bad enough! -
What a total farce it will be if contracted club riders ride elsewhere in the UK whilst their contracted club rides on the same night. It's irelevant if the club meeting is an official one or a challenge.

2017 - 1 Or 2 Fixed Race Nights And When?

With some PL clubs keen to move up (Glasgow say they are considering 2017), Ipswich say they've ill return when it suits , Sheffield have a forward thinking management team that might be keen so as per usual there is likely to be a top flight as usual. -
Now that teams are complete... 1. Poole 2. Belle Vue 3. Swindon 4. Wolves 5. Coventry 6. Lakeside 7. Kings Lynn 8 . Leicester

Hope it's not that, dreadful. -
Of course.

They look pants on paper. So many ifs about them. Their future rests on both Poles as far as I see it. Bomber will do what bomber does, king will do ok without improving that much whilst garrity will hold his own and likely be a heat leader after 4 meetings. Both reserves will have their moments despite looking one of the weaker pairings. So if KK can bounce back from a dismal year bees could be a top 4 outfit. If Wornya turns out to be half decent then the fans will be more than happy. Jury out for me.

It is wrong as anything that's open to manipulation should be stopped. I believe they brought in a like for like policy a couple of seasons ago which to me helps eliminate any chances of trying to bend the averages to suit, just as the obvious efs for troy last year to get darcy in. Just wrong in my eyes. any team below the points limit can build up to it that's no issue. Trying to bend the rules like Swindon did last year should be cut out.
-
I'm not suggesting anything of the kind. Build up to the limit absolutely. However it is already clear that Iversen was too high for Lynn to fit in as their last signing prior to the announcement he is a temporary replacement for Batch. If Niels decides to stay it would be wrong of Lynn to replace there newcomer with Batch - that was my only point.
-
No comment lol Thought the BSPA changed the rules a few seasons ago so you could only replace like with like. Hope buster ain't got that one dropped to suit his own team! We had enough of a certain team doing that didn't we? He doesn't fit with NKI in now so it's unlikely he will in a month or two. No way should any team drop an assessed foreigner on a low average with an heat leader standard rider. It's just wrong. IMHO
-
Should be for like. There is no way Lynn (or any team) should be able to drop a new rider to bring in an established heat leader. Hope Buster isn't using his powers to gain an advantage
-
No surprise given its at his home track, he won't want to miss out on the glory. Tai and Bomber are dead certs, so should Lambert (hopefully the National Stadium will give him as much chance to practise as he needs), then whoever else is in form. Scottie often goes missing at the big events (in recent years) so shouldn't expect a pick.
-
Most speedway fans have seen Kai ride on International TV events and whilst decent in Germany it remains to be seen how well he does elsewhere. Surprised that NKI has done a bit of a u turn although temporary. Gonna leave them awfully weak when Batch is back. Great to see a reprieve from Niels all the same.
-
It has when lakeside starred announcing extra riders into there team.
-
Thought Lynn were over the limit bringing NKI in anyway? Surely they wouldn't be thinking of bending the rules now would they?
-
you can hardly call leaving a team mid season for personal reasons 100% professional. Stats tell the picture I expected. Bjarne has been in a steady decline season upon season for too long. Nice to have a British rider over a half hearted Dane anyway.
-
That was my understanding all along!
-
Bjarne used to be a rider that could be relied upon in the EL. What with fixtures clashes and personal problems he has suddenly become one of those riders that you simply can't rely on.
-
Whoever the 'new' rider at number 8 is I assume it will be a new to British speedway foreigner. Isn't that what the promoters agreed? Zack doesn't fit this criteria.

Remains to be seen if SKY are pro altering speedway night. I doubt the BSPA would want to lose or alienate them either. -
I bet every team used guests last year!
-
I admit it took me by surprise too! Highly unusual.
-
Who did they change in 2015??

Well said El Addio, we all have our opinions either fair, biased or nonsensical at times. The love of the sport brings us all here. Some tho seem intent on putting down others and attacking instead of contributing or use that a scan excuse. I certainly won't be forced quiet by certain posters like rmc. Most of us are here for the love of our sport.
