I can't imagine that was its original intention but no doubt twisted to suit some clubs due to the rule not being clear as per usual.
-
the way they have built they would be unable to anyway now, How can he be a number 8? Isn't that position designed for 'new' foreigners? (Dennis Jonsson at Lakeside the perfect example) NBJ fails to qualify in that category as an established PL performer.
-
I'm aware he would be a named 1-5 rider but I thought a PL rider had to be a 'shared' role? I ask the question because I questioned why Poole weren't using Jack Holder in their squad but they can't because they have none of their top 5 as double up riders.
-
Those options seem to be the ones that are within the rules. Maybe eventually Lynn will give a more accurate press release!
-
I thought riders signed from the PL for the squad need to be in a sharing role? He certainly wouldn't quality as a newcomer.
-
It's as I expected. Proves there is way too much work to do to rectify the problem.

I believe a statement is due from God claiming those in the know knew the winter forecast was set to ruin the opening night and gave warning last week. But that was ignored so all blame absolved.

Belle Vue -v Wolves 25-03-16 Good Fiday
stevebrum replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
They would be foolish if they do. -
It's not our fault, it's not the BSPA's fault. I mean really???? Just whose fault do they assume it is? its clear no lessons have been learned by those in charge of our sport as is usual it's always someone else's fault. Do they seriously believe anyone is buying the options of running Friday? They had the track tested last week yet that proved nothing. Even if they offered assurances, free entry, free parking, a free easter egg and a £20 gift voucher I still wouldn't waste my time going on Friday. I guess promoters really do think supporters will buy any guff announcement.

Can't see its even a consideration it will be on. Can't see anyone believing the promotion if they say it's fixed. -
Is anyone seriously still considering going after the farce of yesterday? I was looking forward to some racing on good Friday but think I will wait till the B fixture.
-
Gotta say a must agree. Was hugely looking forward to good Friday but now I'm not making the effort going if there us no respect for travelling fans. Huge own goal for the Aces promotion.

You beat me to it. As usual, standard result which proves even the weakest of top flights is way stronger than the PL. Standard. What a surprise. RMC missing the point entirely. -

Poole V Coventry Es First Leg 16/03/16

It would have been exactly the same if a 4 point assessed rider moved up into the main body of the team as it always was back in the day.Are you saying that never happened? ? It's exactly the same as before. Better to have a rider move up as reward for progress than keep him at reserve and gain minimal progress. Better that rider is a brit as well. -
I thought he might have been named as a squad rider tho.

I'd still say that Jason considers our track one of his best, stats do tell part of the story tho! Really? So let other countries youngsters benefit from racing at reserve here and we get little benefit ?? This is the right way around. The cream of the British youngsters will rise to the top and others will struggle. It's no different to the same teams bringing in the best youngsters on a 4 and others being less successful with their signings. At least this way GB get to benefit those who progress. I couldn't be any happier about that move personally. With so few big names and new up and coming riders wanting to come here these days the days of foreign bargains are in the past. Rightly so too. -

In the EL they are pretty much like for like, whilst in the PL Garrity is well clear. Both are ambitious and i believe plenty more to come from both. I applaud Kyle for getting a Polish team place which is exactly what Jason and the next generation of young riders wanting to move forward in the sport need to do. Jason for me just edges it as things stand but the season for 2016 has barely started so plenty of time for both to move forward in their respective leagues.
