  1. Aaah, makes more sense. I suppose it depends on the sensitivity of the individual affected and of course the employer!
  2. Of which you have no knowledge so has no validity. Someone who has to remain in hospital is by definition incapable of doing their job.
  3. You call it 'guff', I call it reality. In your opinion why is it NOT LIFE CHANGING as you have such a strong opinion I would like to hear you're reasoning. What do I honestly think is wrong with him? ? It's very hard to assume without any real facts but such a lengthy stay in hospital indicates 'life changing'. Possible nerve damage, detachment of nerve or structure, major ligament damage. All these indicate a life changing injury AND a lengthy stay in hospital.
  4. In the real world of medicine (which I know extremely well from an educated point of view) nothing is ever really that clear cut. In reference to the length of stay for Dak's dad in hospital there must be an assumption that there is a life changing element to his injury. That is only by piecing together some of the information that we know or assume to be true. We don't know any true relevance of Dak's dad's injury so that's a sweeping statement to make. ANY length of stay in hospital is in itself life changing.
  5. You don't wear a identity band for a check up. Keep grabbing at straws tho.
  6. And if man who breaks leg has complications that results in a length stay? Example (true story) Diabetes is usually a well controlled issue that may require a short time in hospital to stabilise. One man in his 30's is currently in hospital for his 2nd month due to serious stability issues. Point - ANY medical issue/health related problem can cause a 'long stay in hospital'. The length of stay can indicate the seriousness of that particular issue. So your example of a black and white case tells a very small point. Length of stay is often associated with serious ongoing problems.
  7. Depends on your definition of long term hospitalisation. So sorry but I'm right.
  8. I agree with you on the changes part. Should and could have been a game changer.
  9. Lead the league for a huge chunk of the season and finished top 2 in league table. Pretty good in most people's eyes.
  10. Hugely frustrated! However I am sure there is plenty none of us know about reasons why he struggled. It doesn't even bear thinking about that the engines weren't the problem. However of course that is also very possible. I hope that it isn't!
  11. Disagree completely. (Not including social issues naturally).
  12. Quality reply. And you're PS is spot on.
  13. Dak's dad has remained in hospital for an awful long time bad was STILL in hospital when Dak finally got home. How much more of the truth do you need? To stay in hospital that long indicates it's quite a life changing accident. As for no news of what actually happened, who's business is it to know? Most certainly not Speedway fans!
  14. I'm always happy to agree to disagree. My last memory of Tai in a Wolves jacket (the only form that matters to me) was one of huge disappointment particularly given how he turned his form around in Europe and the GP's. For whatever reason he was unable to turn it around in the EL and popping wheelies at the back isn't my idea of caring that much. Happy to close this part of the topic anyway.
  15. Apologies, that was 2015. 4 of 6 wins, still a way better percentage riding for wolves.
  16. Making up what things? 6 rides (including the final) 5 wins. http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/14578/british-final-wolves-15-2015
  17. Yes that engine he went unbeaten on after 1 ride, best ignore that tho.
  18. So in you're eyes it's 'spectators' like me that you would be happy to just walk away from the sport to stop the top boys coming?? Spectators like me who provide weekly updates for the updates site you mean as well?? I guess I'm not really even a true Wolves SUPPORTER neither am I?? Probably the most ludicrous post I have read all year, and that includes the forum trolls. You are right , the forum can do without ludicrous posts like yours.
