Wolverhampton Vs King's Lynn- Monday 3 August

Whilst it was good to get a win again it's harsh coming against a team in shock right now. For Wolves, this shows what having a proper number one scoring what he should. Shockingly poor crowd as clearly fans are voting with their feet. Given the injury concerns for the Stars they looked more than capable of getting a point out if the match right till Wolves ride a blinder to deny Iversen that saw us grab some belief from somewhere. Racing was dull early on but certainly had a fair few classics later on. Porkie got the crowd to do a loud applause at the start of the parade for Lewis which I thought was a nice touch and I believed most of the crowd wanted to acknowledge the events of yesterday. I will take that win with a renewed hope we could catch Lakeside for 6th, so low are our goals these days. WOLVES FRED - sublime and the Freddie of old. Lost his max in the last but it was clear he was more than happy that the team won. 4.5/5 MOTM JACOB - decent enough match although his tapes exclusion could have been costly with us just 4 up at that point. 3/5 RICKY - great couple of Laps battle with Niels in heat 3 and more than did his job as heat leader. 3/5 TOBBY - frustrating. 2 decent rides and 2 when he looked out of his depth. 2.5/5 PK - struggled badly early on but came good in the 2 big heats and did his job in those. 2/5 LEWIS - in reality should have cleaned up at reserve tonight. Did an 'OK' job but struggles at times. 2/5 MAX - expected nothing so was pleasantly surprised and battled hard for his points, thanks Max! 3.5/5 STARS Iversen - struggled in heat 1 but other than being owned in heat 13 was great as expected. 3.5/5 Porsing - good effort, quick and tried hard in each race. Impressed me. 3.5/5 RR - got 8 points which maybe was a fair score. Still think Lambert might have got double figures. Bjerre - won his easier races but 10 points from 6 races is hardly going to help your team win. 2.5/5 Milik - quick but was trying too hard in heat 11 with Freddie gone and took a heavy hit when he fell from his bike, was announced as going to ride heat 13 (after the initial suspected broken shoulder) but was replaced so no idea if he had 2nd thoughts. Hope he is OK. 2.5/5 Branford - was never expected to replace Kerr and although he tried he was not an adequate replacement. 2/5 Morris - good to see OUR Ash get a win in the 12th but that was the extent if his nights work. 1.5/5 Interesting comment from Porkie about last week's match against Swindon. Rosco complained to the ref that his over exuberance and noise volume was putting the Swindon riders off so the ref had to warn Porkie !! Rosco, what a tool. -
Wolverhampton Vs King's Lynn- Monday 3 August

They weren't, I remember the next day meeting at wolves very well. Awful thing, but quite fitting given we were all gathered to remember. Speedway always has to carry on and any rider would say the same. -
likewise I've taken several Poole posters off as well. Most people post sensibly these days.sadly the odd few still try and ruin it. Thanks El, some only want to see what they want to see in a post. But it does make me chuckle when some have a go at none attendance when they don't bother themselves. Provides me with the odd titter at least. Thanks.

King's Lynn V Leicester (29.07.15)

The promotions and team managers do if they want a result so clearly they can. But they will still use the safety argument if they are losing. #hypocrites -

Good luck to the Aces tonight in securing points towards the play offs. -
When I want drivel I usually see what you have posted. As for my speedway activity I'm usually seen providing the updates for all the Wolves matches. (Not so) special one.

Don't rate you're posts either so I'm not likely to lose any sleep. Obviously you take issue with people that don't follow the Swindon mantra, how sad.

Wolverhampton Vs King's Lynn- Monday 3 August
stevebrum replied to scottrocks's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Hope he isn't doin more damage trying to ride injured. I will be gutted if he is missing. Difficult meeting for the stars given the events of today. -
Just to clarify plenty think what Swindon have done stinks. Those who know me know different,so the rest of opinions just don't matter.Tho it is highly amusing being called not clever by orion tries to give it any credibility .

Most importantly best wishes go to Lewis. Here is hoping for good news ASAP. Lambert was on fire Saturday night so why wasn't he riding today? Hopefully he will be fit to race was the only thing worth going to watch tomorrow, -
With no number one when Darcy goes home. if no one gives a flying f what I think what are you mentioning it for all the time. That I can live with

Touching a raw nerve it seems , Swindon the new Poole.

Thank god for Leicester, just when you think you're own team is rubbish They prove there is someone worse than yours. Guests sadly are the necessary evil but 7 must be a record! -
Still going on about that?? How boring. At least Swindon make Poole look whiter than white these days.
-
Was just putting it in context as it's clear you have red tinted specs on these days.
-
What, try reading the post i quoted that had 3 words in? DUH.

What has whether I attended or not have a thing to do with it? ? Weeks prior to Darcy even being ready to return the rumours were that he was Swindon bound yet the Robins already had 2 riders over 7. It was obvious somebody would have to get below 7 for it to be even a possibility. So batch must have been on strict instructions as the closest to 7. Next you will tell me that they were genuine engine failures. Many speculated what would happen (Batch dropping his average) long before Darcy signed but now you would want me to believe they were genuine only because I wasn't there.?? I could have told you weeks ago that would happen, and yet low and behold no iffy engine problems since - now isn't that amazing! ! Some of you are fast turning into Poole excusers who ignore the obvious seen by the rest of Speedway kind. However back in the real world they were as dodgy engine failures as you can get but feel free to ignore the true points of Darcy signing. I guess we need to start calling it red tinted glasses. Just how has Freddie's dropped average benefited Wolves this year? ? At least there were no dodgy engine problems causing his fall in average.

[quote name="SpecialOne" post="2656974" timestamp="1438424401" Comments such as you are going to see the 'cheating robins' do come across a tad on the sour side. It's called being consistent. I have slated Poole in the past for doing exactly the same thing (manipulating averages, dodgy engine failures) and it's something I detest. Nothing 'sour' about those comments even if Ward had chosen Wolves I doubt we would be challenging for a top 4 place. I've already accepted our season is over so I can hardly be sour as I couldn't care less who wins or makes the play offs. However at least I am consistent in my views and maybe some Swindon fans know what most Poole fans must feel when their club accused of abusing the rules (simply because there is no rule to say you can't underperform to lower averages to bring in a new rider doesn't make it right)

Which words? What about the words of some of the Swindon fans who said they stood no chance last night? I didn't think Swindon were good enough to make the play offs and had the Aces in the driving seat for 4th. Wins on Monday and Friday might mean I need to revisit that. It's not like it would be the first time I've been wrong, last time I looked it wasn't against the law. Unlike some I'm happy to admit when I wrong let's face it I got Wolves hopes for this year spectacularly wrong. If I'm wrong about Swindon I certainly won't be losing any sleep about it, likewise the comments of this poster.
