I`m usually exactly the same when i hear about so called in the know comments about signings that quite often aren't true, however with regards the TV deal we have had 2 promoters (Cook and Middleditch) saying that its happening, an in the know journalist saying it will soon be announced. In this instance i think it is fair to say it is happening. I agree, i am looking forward to an official announcement sometime very soon. No idea why some have to make such a big deal about it with all the knowledge already available on the subject.

He would know. But having a go at him for trying to give titbits of information is just plain rude. At least someone within the inner circle of those in the know is trying to bring the rest of us a bit of insight. Yet people still moan that information is hardly shared. Crazy!

I agree that should be the chosen path. However PL promoters have no more interest in the development of young riders than the EL promoters do. If they did there would already be both reserve positions filled by Brits in the PL. They are just as happy to use Danes and Aussies in that position much like the EL. Of course its a cost cutting exercise that the EL have done, who is denying that? Certainly not me. At least the EL are using British riders in reserve and the PL are not - end of. Meetings at Monmore have 3 blank Mondays and one reserved. Plus of course also one of those is the British final. No, i haven't seen any cuckoos either.

If you have the books of all the EL/PL and NL promotions then i might just believe that as a fact. Everyone knows the EL is nothing what is was or should be. But of course i will enjoy watching the youngsters trying to make it in the EL and become EL riders in the future. Any rider with ambitions wants to be there, and should be. But naturally i will enjoy watching some of the best riders in the World on a weekly basis, and of course watching our World Champion on a weekly basis in the top league in the UK. Doesn't get much better than that thanks!

And all PL clubs are solvent and are able to pay rider debts with no problems?? Don`t think the debt issue is an EL thing, it is a speedway thing.

So Poole didn't buy Grajzconek ?? Swindon didnt buy Morris? Belle Vue didnt buy Worrall? Lakeside havent just paid for Lawson??? Wolves didnt buy Wells?? If there was only one league then it would be aimed at the top boys. The rest of the PL standard riders would be part of it.

With regards the `squandered money` - if you have read other posts i have made about the state of British speedway and how it is run you will know exactly my feelings on that. FWIW - if the PL had their own TV contract i reckon they would do exactly the same thing, So no, tne PL is not the golden way of doing things in the slightest.

The PL would struggle to run without using riders from the EL. Simples.

Well said. We are ALL in this together! EL get preference if the rider is an asset of an EL club, as it should be.

The PL relies on the EL riders AND the NL riders too. If none of them co-operated there wouldn't be any viable league. If there was one league it would still feature the best riders so EL is correct.
