Time will tell if he does indeed achieve or reach that potential. He has been overtaken by the chasing pack tho. -

Its only the Poole -ites that seem to believe that hype. You are of course very right. Darcy remains a rider with bags of potential that has yet to prove it on the big stage. Bit like Michael Jepsen Jensen. Although his hype seems well and truly over. -

Not that clarity is needed its just a choice. I find i have enjoyed meetings at Leicester more than i have at Brum. That includes the whole experience. And NO i wouldn't pay an extra ten quid to watch a GP on ANY man made track because the racing can be routine and riders unable to give it there all. Put simply, it isn't worth the extra cost. Everyone i speak to who goes to Cardiff says the same thing - we don't go for the racing we go for the atmosphere, which to me kind of sums up just how poor the racing can be at Cardiff. Don`t ask me to choose watching racing at Leicester or Cardiff - it has already been answered. Just to clarify, i think what BSI have done for GP Speedway is excellent - taking it into massive stadiums for the masses - wonderful. The cold hard facts however is that the general sporting population still aren't aware about our sport because the media in the main don't even mention it. Lets just ignore the fact that 40 odd thousand people pack into the Millennium Stadium! -

I agree attendance is a different animal. RACING is mostly dull on the temporary tracks. I applaud what BSI have done in bringing GP racing to the masses. But i have yet to attend a Cardiff event and am ever unlikely to pay good money for what i would class as an inferior product. -

And as usual ruined by ruts and lack of passing. Indoor meetings, the death knoll of GP RACING. -

Batchelor looks total class tonight. Besides his one season he has never looked capable of this tonight. -
Of course we cant. But there is a big clue........................ the EL has steadily decreased its quality over the past 10 seasons, so have attendances. Its certainly got a big part of it.

Its easy to see why Kildermand has moved ahead of MJJ as the next big thing. Class. Pedersen owned by the Aussies. -
That is a different argument. The non Speedway fan needs to be got thru advertising and promotion that perhaps a big company sponsorship can help with. We need new fans in the long term absolutely but we need to tempt back those who no longer support - mostly due to lack of top riders. I don't disagree. There are several reasons qwhy the big boys are missing from the EL. A big sponsorship deal with money to tempt could be an answer because we know riders will ride if the money is on offer.
-
What we know works is big stars and a strong EL. Going backwards to something that didn't work last time is not the answer IMHO.
-
A definite no no to one big league for me! Been there, didn't work either. The successful leagues work with a Divisional structure. We must retain the 3 tiers.
-
There has to be some way to try get back to those days. Sweden can make it happen on not much bigger crowds than some of the EL teams.
-
Proof is already available. When Emil came over to ride for Cov figures were up everywhere Cov went. Like i said - its unlikely to ever happen again. But you probably don't read things fully i would expect.
-
I hear what you are saying, just think rigged is the wrong wording.
-
Rigged? Really?? I would say that teams with 2 youngsters as assets should only be allowed 1 to ensure things are evened up. Why shouldn't teams with young assets have priority?? So its OK for some teams to sit back and do nothing and then expect the best draft riders?? I am hoping this system (with some modification) is here to stay and hopefully that will encourage ALL EL teams to start investing in BRITISH youth and not looking for the best foreign newcomer. Obviously many believe that going for NL riders is a step to far for the EL. But what is clear we have to do something about spiraling costs and lack of top foreigner riders wanting to ride here. I long for the days of a strong EL, but i cant see it happening anytime soon. But the answer is simple - get the top boys over and crowds will come back. Win win.
-
I cant imagine there is an EL fan out there that doesn't want the big boys back and a strong EL again. But so far as regular racing and entertainment goes, i couldn't agree more.
-
Prices have gone up with inflation which is in stark contrast to EL teams going weaker. I don't think its rocket science to suggest that bringing back the top boys will help increase numbers on the terraces as that is what a lot of the stay aways have been saying they want to happen. I don't think promoters dare ask fans to pay more than they are now, not for the reduced standard and quality of the teams. However by looking at the bigger picture surely the promoters can see same night racing + big stars back = bigger attendances?? Will it cost more?? Probably but if that is the price needed to tempt people back to watching on the terraces then it surely is worth pushing for?
-
If we want the top boys back and a really meaningful EL then we have to fall in line with Sweden/Poland/Denmark. Not that it will happen as most promotions are only interested in their own needs first and foremost.

Yet more bull. ooooops you cant see these posts but have to mention both our names in every post. I am loving the comedy work you are certainly great entertainment at posting nonsense! Are we `blocked` by the way, funny you haven't mentioned it more than 20 or so times. Thank god for the light entertainment.
-
No, the troll wont get it.
-
Gater1 is a troll that just seems happy to be Anti Tai for some strange reason. Says the troll who admits to posting bull. Classic.
-
We are the lucky ones then. Got a feeling it will be in double figures come the end of the week. Sounding more and more like a Poole fan! Its a shame we have posters like you/KKS/JJR et al who actually admit to posting bull. Thank god im not part of this particular family, one thats getting smaller with every `block`. And in some cases if you dont agree just put them on Block - although `ignore` is the correct terminology. Not like that poster is known for posting facts!
-
Usual anti Tai post. Its only cheating if you break a rule. If you show me that rule you might have a point. Yet more bull. He didn't break a rule so it wasn't cheating. End of. Of course it is. The new KKS/Shovlar/troll poster. This poster even admits it posts bull. You just couldn't make it up.

Reading it as i saw it and quoted as the part that was relevant, Did i say i disagreed with your whole post?? Jeez, some people need to lighten up a little. As for Gustix comments and replies. Why did you not mention that he has made the `read through before diving in` (your words) comments because several have quoted that one post? Just saying if you want to give full flavour to quoting other peoples posts.
