  1. Yes I remember his bad behavior.I think he went through an ''arrogant'' stage as did Bomber following his GP win in 2007. Fortunately they have both had reality checks since realising they are best concentrating on ''bread and butter'' speedway and will never be world champions. I enjoy their racing all the more for it.
  2. Memories from being a kid at Coventry I would say Nigel Boocock and in more recent times it would have to be Billy Janirro -- not for his success as a number 1 (which he never was) but just loved the way he took no nonsense (with the assistance of his elbows). Master bonus point rider
  3. Like a lot of forum members on here (before a certain poster accuses me of ''bullying'') now Poole have gone I don't mind who wins although as the underdogs I would love it to be Ipswich.
  4. A great post to read HAWK 127 and well balanced. Many of us have indeed lost our stadiums. Long live British speedway however long it may last.
  5. If you were supporting Ipswich it certainly felt like a final! Well done.
  6. Respectful? Possibly not However maybe the rest of your comment is applicable to SOME of the team. There is always next season to plan for.
  7. I will reply to you once more Lisa--- you have accused at least 2 forum members of ''ganging up on you'' from posts made 10 YEARS ago -- that is not normal behaviour. As an ex nurse I find your comments concerning (If you wish to get personal on an open forum be my guest but you may not like what I have to say)If you wish to continue this might I suggest we meet in your local playground to discuss ? Let this be an end.
  8. As if anyone would stalk you -- in your dreams. Those who dish it have to be prepared to take it.
  9. Oh dear Lisa you seem to think the world is against you lately. I wasn't nasty and never have been. Perhaps you need a medication review?
  10. Another honest comment. It was so obvious what Poole were up to (Holder could have at least pretended to look injured ).
  11. An HONEST Poole poster --- you don't see that too often. Well said.
  12. No is the straight answer. This year bags were properly checked and the wand was used prior to being allowed through.
  13. I have been going for 12 years now and will probably give next year a miss. The racing was boring and the atmosphere was a tad lacklustre. Maybe a year off would be enough to get me ''hungry'' for the occasion again.
  14. Lisa I think you have it bad. MANY years ago I would share banter with Coventry fans and Poole fans alike.. We would have a laugh and you used to join in (that is banter). I would never wish any stadium to close down as it's heartbreaking at the time. I rarely follow live speedway these days but still watch it on TV. and try to attend Cardiff every year. You seem to have been bearing resentment for years and I'm glad you feel better. Perhaps your resentment and bitterness will now dissipate and we can consider this an end. Continue to enjoy your speedway while you can as one day it may not be there.
  15. I've never known you to bite your tongue -- you are souring with age. My opinions on Poole's track is shared by many. I think we will have to agree to disagree -- I doubt we have anything in common anyway although we once shared pleasantries on Social Media.
  16. Bless you for such a polite and mature reply. I would certainly agree that once upon a time one could have banter with you. How times have changed.
  17. So what's your reply to the first bit of the comment?
