  1. Dreadful but don't expect any Poole locals to agree. Well done to Bomber -- I've not always been a great fan of his but his experience and skill did him proud tonight.
  2. On Midlands Today the closure of the stadium got a mention.
  3. A tad late in my reply but many thanks to Rob C for the recommendation of somewhere to eat by the track --- we had a lovely carvery meal. As for the Belle Vue track -- WOW and double WOW!! What a fantastic venue providing great racing and entertainment (including the handbags!!). I'm so envious of all you Belle Vue supporters that you have such a great track. I so miss my racing at Brandon and I was reminded of this when attending your great venue. Dare I say this would be an ideal track for a future G.P ?
  4. I'm making my first ever visit to Belle Vue -- I'm so pleased as the racing looks exciting as well as the track. Can anyone recommend a decent eating place near the stadium please (plain pub food type of thing)? Thanks in advance.
  5. My apologies if I'm wrong I thought he raced grasstrack around 2009 -- the old grey matter is not what it used to be!!
  6. Danny was always a great entertainer when he raced grasstrack which I followed from 2008 until approx.2012
  7. A fair minded and intelligent poster who has been on the forum for MANY years. She is sadly missed and I hope she returns soon.
  8. That truly is the best post about this meeting and sums it all up. (as well as poor camerawork). Why oh WHY include Bomber?
  9. I don't wish to be argumentative at all here but (as has been said many times) Greyhounds are so badly treated -- do you really expect an income to made from this barbaric sport? Stock cars has a great following and would attract many supporters = money.
  10. OMG -- this is beginning to sound like a POOLE tactic.
  11. Aww Gemini sad to hear this but I do know how difficult it is for you to attend these days. I very nearly went tonight but am still struggling to get my motivation going after Brandon closing .Speedway will miss you as you have been a very loyal servant x
  12. Well done Peterborough! Just loving this team after I saw them ride on Bank Holiday Monday at their home track. (Possibly one of the best tracks in this division). Good to see Hans at his best.
  13. Despite what the scoreline suggested it was a very enjoyable meeting with entertaining racing and the weather was on our side. Good to see Josh Bates in the mix and scoring well.
  14. It appears that all we are going to be told is that ''he's a nutter'' and ''has the Samaritans on speed dial.'' All I see is that he's a very exciting speedway rider to watch, happy to chat to his fans, is a crowd pleaser and always appears professional in his approach. Can't please 'em all!!!!
  15. 17th March cannot come too quickly for me. I cannot wait and have the added bonus of being able to bring my dog to the stadium (the 4 legged one) not to mention Scott Nicholls . Have had a couple of years in the ''speedway'' doldrums with work commitments and fixed race nights not to mention the grieving over Coventry closing (I appreciate this sounds a tad dramatic but it made me very sad ). Onwards and upwards! See you There Gemini x
  16. Harris work and start the season prepared and fit???? I'm not sure his self inflated ego would agree with that.
