Seem to be a lot more votes for closed tracks, than operating ones. Probably because there are a lot more to choose from. -
Workington v Redcar 10/05/25 3pm BSN series

Could Adam Ellis be persuaded to do the Championship? -
Will Scott Nichols be fit any time soon?

Fancy Scunthorpe to win this, but seems unlikely they will qualify for next stage. Hopefully some good racing. Any locals able to tell me about possible M181 or M180 closures, after the match. Saw some signs about closures on dates of previous matches, but they only applied after 8pm, which was not an issue for a 3pm start. Thanks

Presume two of the three you refer to are Cairns and Rushden, who is the other?

Riders are no longer considered assets of clubs

I believe it was decided, some years ago, that NL team's, could not have rider assets. -
Don't get speedway star, so what were his reasons for signing for Leicester, then telling them on the eve of the season that he wouldn't?
-
A similar idea was proposed a few years ago. A European cup, with the best two teams from England, Poland, Denmark and Sweden. Not sure how it would have worked through with "international doubling up"
-
Thought greyhound racing still there.
-
Before Woffy was injured we may have looked like a team with four heat leaders and three reserves. Now it looks like three heat leaders and four reserves.
-
First reaction is that the team is now weaker. Replacing Hume, makes us slightly stronger, but is more than offset by the downgrade from Woffy. Still not sure if there were any better options. Lindgren or Lambert do sound better, but may not be available.

Edinburgh now off so hopefully Foord at Scunthorpe
-
Just hope he gets there on time.
-
Weather forecast not too good for Edinburgh. If it's an early call off Foord may be at Scunthorpe.
-
And I have just noticed that both teams are using rider replacement at Belle Vue which could slow the meeting.
-
Won't have much time to spare. Approximately 2 hours from Manchester to Scunthorpe, time to load up after Belle Vue, and prepare at Scunthorpe. Hope the crowd are not expected to stand around waiting for him.
-
Either to get in, cash only inside stadium.
-
Why all the changes from the declared teams. I realise Foord can not do Scunthorpe and Edinburgh same day, and Ace Pijper has some international commitments, but why the others?
-
Should be a tough test for the Scorpions, against a strong looking Redcar team. Could be an away win. Any locals know if the M181 will be open tomorrow (with the usual lane closures). Thanks
-
Now all they need are new fans 😀

As I was thinking of going to this match thought I would look up admission prices on Scunthorpe website. All I can find is they still have not decided the price for last year's National league matches. http://scunthorpe-speedway.com/?page_id=15341

Looking at the averages as per BSPL, I fail to see how the Steelers would be under the limit, prior to the Foord/Roynon change. Now the change is made, I presume Foord will not be racing tomorrow (Friday 18th April), as his championship team Workington, are at Edinburgh 7.30, same day, and it would be impossible for him to do both. So after all this, still do not know Steelers team for tomorrow.
