  1. Birmingham Edwards Plumbing Brummies Speedway: BRUMMIES OWNERS TO STAND DOWN (birmingham-speedway.com) Could it be the last meeting for both sides?
  2. Just chatting to a friend who has been a fan for over 2 decades that sticks to GPs these days about Jason Crump now at 5 due to his average reducing. He couldn't understand the whole 5% for guests (I still don't if I'm honest) and then I showed him the table and it blew his mind! If someone who has a knowledge of the sport cannot understand it how on earth are we supposed to attract new fans? Simplest sport on the planet in its purest form made baffling
  3. I find my planner inundated with these, I was under the impression the reason for having the roving reporter at the other tracks was so these programmes could show highlights from the other meetings taking place that day. Haven't seen any evidence of that so far!
  4. Must admit, for my moaning about Lambert being in there I thought he gave a fantastic account of himself. Great win for Ellis, was fantastic on the night! Such. A shame we don’t have the proper world team cup still in place he’d be a shoe in alongside Bewley for the final 2 places. The only downside as always was the coverage, Pearson too busy telling us all that Ellis had rolled and talking about his mates to bother noticing what was happening. Rowe nearly had King 2/3 times in one heat and all that was mentioned was about how king needed points! Yawn.
  5. Still no Brennan, u21 champ and on his home (second home) track but Lambert does get in? Baffling
  6. New points scoring is pathetic, 8 points into 20 with 2 extra rides! And people ask why others aren't interested in the sport
  7. Must admit I hadn’t watched it, was catching up on updates here and there but it didn’t look good. Solid effort from him and Palin though in a decent enough field
  8. Call me cynical but I don’t think you’d have seen a Pole needing 2 points from his last ride to guarantee at least a medal run off, with 2 fellow countrymen in that race come last
  9. And he didn’t even get a ride over there!
  10. We used to have a Conference league match on the Firday after the Pairs went to Somerset too. Some great weekends over the years, miss not being able to roll home from those meetings
  11. I'm very much in that camp too, just staggering how he hadn't taken a single pinch of advice he was given not 10 minutes earlier. I was amazed when he was given the rising star tag but watching him this year he appears to be the most unstable on a bike of the lot.
  12. I would say more that Bates just doesn't listen, when the cameras were showing Wright after ht2 before he was back out in ht 3 you could quite clearly see Steady telling Bates not to lock it so hard in the background. His very next race which was no more than 10 minutes after the conversation...
  13. Well it got a little better after I said it! First time there’s been a proper race for me, after the first 2 bends it’s been very gate and go before ht16
  14. Decent result, track is terrible though. Should only need a third in his last? Top 5 qualify don’t they?
  15. Thought Jamrog was a little naughty getting past him, hasn’t he already taken a few off this season?
  16. Interestingly the WRU have announced a friendly with Argentina, on the 17th of July in the Principality.
  17. They clearly knew this was happening a while back, WRU have announced a friendly with Argentina at the Principality...….17th July 2021!
  18. Hoping for 2 better this year! 1. J Edwards 7.53 2. Rothery 3.00 3. D Thompson 5.50 4. H. Atkins 5.86 5. J. Thompson 6.48 6. Sam Hagon 3.00 7. H. Mcgurk 3.00 34.37
  19. If Wells is on a 4, he seems a no brainer?
  20. Given his performances in the SEC (which this line up looks loosely based on) KK back in the GPS would be an absolute travesty! (41st in the Ekstraliga averages) Surely the likes of Smektala, Kubera or Prezedpleski would have been better? Presume the Pawlicki’s are still out of favour with PZM?
  21. With Lambert already qualified and Woffy odds on to challenge for the title, Ellis is the only other Brit riding that’s anywhere near the standard needed. If nothing more, great experience for one of the younger Brits. logical and decent decision from the powers that be, for once!
  22. That could be an interesting call! Aussies champs could be smoke and mirrors with the American champs this week! Do Americans have to finish top 3/4 of their championships to get a permit? I did think Todd was a cert when the drop down was announced though! Him and a Morley feels the safest option
