  1. Kerr feels like an odd shout for a Poole side. He's made of glass Dan Thompson or even Sedgy would be a better option for that average. Rowe and a 2 point place holder until Cairns is 16 and that would be some side. Must admit I was one of the many that wrote Thomsen off before he turned a wheel but he had a great season, fair play. Deserves to be back next year.
  2. Douglas would be a fantastic addition, his form in Poland took off last year. They are and if the rumours of Masters to Oxford are true then Howarth is surely Brum or Leicester bound.
  3. Wouldn't be surprised to see Wright and King at Brum next year and them go down the multiple 6 point UK based riders to try and save a bit of cash on flights etc. Howarth another possibility if Sheffield do keep their top 3 and Pickering.
  4. Great post! Looking at the averages in the championship the other day asking where are the next line of heat leaders coming from. Doubling up seems to have taken away the mid level riders in the lower division that step up once the top boys move on. The RS should have been at that level to push the riders we've lost over the last 5/10 years into the second string/3rd heat leader roles. Think you nailed it with the Simon Lambert example. Poland haven't seen many of their top level juniors kick on at the world stage as expected but they are still performing at a very good standard in their domestic leagues. From the u21 final 10 years ago, only Ellis, Howarth and Coles are still riding. Phillips and Mountain were meeting reserves and the only ones still with a league place from the qualifier. The Polish junior final that year had, Musielak, Pieszczeck, Przedpelski, Gomolski, Zmarzlik, Smektala, Woryna, Pawlicki, Wozniak, Gala and Cyfer.
  5. what about the other Killen at no7? Presumably he’d be on a 2 as well or will it be Scott then use Killen as a guest/no8 when needed like they did with Luke?
  6. Someone who can have an impact like Tate/Voulas did at Workington is they key. There are plenty about but attracting them away from Poland is near impossible. Some of the youngsters from the SGP2 look very handy but I'd be very shocked if any came over next year.
  7. Cheers @Islander15 always a good craic this one. Hopefully your able to organise again next season! Best get ordering some Dayle Wood merch
  8. Did Louis say that Hellstrom Bangs starting technique was something he will or would be trying to change?
  9. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Some great passing, boys with the biggest set that were willing to mix it got their reward. Fricke, Becker and Masters were terrible, Kerr a poor choice for me. Hagon and Douglas rode well and Lawson was Lawson around BV. Brady could be on for some season, won the league in Poland, final in Sweden tonight and one hand on the cup in the UK. Then the GP Challenge next weekend.
  10. Bar Hagon, Leicester just didn't want it enough and Fricke probably didn't want to embarrass himself any further.
  11. I think it was more PIcko shielding his team mate and ultimately, Abi. If she'd got to Jack to ask something about the crash etc, no doubt she would have been on the wrong side of a Holder tantrum and everyone would have been left red faced.
  12. The move away from Leicester and possibly the comfort of riding with his brother, has done him the world of good. There was always a rider in there and fair play to Plymouth for helping it show. It would be good to see him lead them next year but I have a feeling Louis may want him somewhere more competitive if he's to stay at Ipswich (who'd also be mad to let him go). Glasgow would be a great place for him as a second/third HL dependant on points limit. Harris and Pearson should be the ones they build a side around next year, if they can keep Rowe as well that would be a great start.
  13. don't forget 'their opening gambit' and 'bomber isn't known for his starting'
  14. Same here, guess the thinking is that the other main body partnerships are well established and Bomber is more likely to look out for the youngsters than Holder. Result all depends on which Howarth and Lidsey turn up.
  15. What was Scott’s excuse? hangover from partying with Zmarzlik? Doubt he’ll be missing tomorrow night for tv duties
  16. Another poor meeting in terms of actual racing but a great result for Lambert, hopefully opens the floodgates for next year. Oh what could have been had he not had a stinker in Gorzow. .
  17. Would imagine the Will Cairns/Hancock connection will see him stay unless there's a better offer elsewhere
  18. Michelson and Woffinden will be back in after injuries as well so by that logic there will only be one other from the current line up, who doesn't qualify from the challenge. Although I think Lebedevs will be in regardless, as Riga looks set to stay on the calendar.
  19. Jesus it's tedious I honestly cannot see how Michelson was excluded in heat 4, he was in front and lifted then got clattered. Other way around Michelson goes every time. Not sure I can stand Tatum and Louis fawning any longer, you'd think Zmarzlik was some underdog story As usual best 2 riders on the night miss out - although Lambert only has himself to blame...again!
