  1. Presumably either by Sandown racecourse or Surbiton raceway, probably the latter as there is already a model car racetrack there by the looks
  2. One thing is for certain, all the moaning we collectively do about the Poles running the sport and ruining it, you cannot knock their efforts/commitment to get riders fit again. Watching the Tai video this week, the Wroclaw sponsors must have forked out a serious amount of money to help him get back on his feet so quickly, same with Brady here and there are lots of other incidents where they have paid for all physio costs. I don't really remember similar stories over here, outside of the Ben Fund (who do a fantastic job) the help riders get from their clubs appears to be very minimal.
  3. Fair play, not seen many people do that to Freddie
  4. He did alright from the back last year, something about him feels to me like he thought this year would be easy
  5. Nothing seems to be working for him at the moment
  6. I've always wondered why Tai hasn't fully got into this side of marketing. He's tried it himself but getting someone that would also do Soccer Aid (which is exactly what you've mentioned above now, gone are the Bradley Walsh vs Maradona days) involved in a GP for a vlog, get them on the centre green and in the pits when things get heated would be incredible coverage and out reach
  7. Ah well, no point watching the rest of the series now. Don't think I've seen Kurtz beaten by that margin at Belle Vue in a long time, especially from behind
  8. Adam Ellis born in France to British parents. Why is it only ever Ellis that gets mentioned?
  9. Louis bang on there Zmarzlik just following Brady inch for inch to work out how far to go if he needs too
  10. And water is wet! Televised speedway does itself absolutely no favours
  11. If only that sort of analysis was used in TV coverage to explain why riders struggle at different types of tracks!
  12. They’ve been posting videos on social media all week off road mountain biking then diving into rivers off bridges.
  13. Crikey. I hope Hook, Bewley, Tate and anyone else who’s been diving off bridges this week with him haven’t caught it as well
  14. Some top stats. Those are the kinds of things football commentators will use to fill silences and provide build up. Speedway fans will just get that Bomber is the one to watch because of his British final exploits, Kvech the GP rider and the emerging talent that is the sensation Boughen *and repeat*. Must add that I'm referring to the TNT coverage
  15. Was a strange fixture to pick given the overall calendar but I guess that sums up the coverage these days.
  16. Completely agree. At Newport almost the full 7 would be in the bar for at least an hour after the meeting, usually joined by some away riders for a drink and chat with the fans of both sides. Somerset also did this quite well with interviews and stuff after the meeting. The few years after Newport closed we went to Swindon a lot and there was barely one rider in the bar after the meeting. That's when the disconnect started for me. Riders are out of the pits before paying public are allowed in like they used too. All the 'pro athlete' stuff doesn't mean anything without fans and fan interaction
