  1. I await with baited breath to see 18 teams built to 40-45 averages and see how many rider's are left over, or teams that can't even make up the average at all.
  2. But the world was our oyster then when we had the luxury of any rider in the World. Now it's difficult to get anybody to commit to British Speedway. So yes, one big league is TOTALLY unworkable once rider's start to get injured.
  3. Correct, and I agree from the neutral point of view. So how come the Stars rider's struggled early on in the meeting saying the track was way slicker than normal. Aces fans saying Monday was one of the worst meeting of the season. Coincidentally the track was different on a Play-Off night hey. It was total nonsense that the track was a little greasy because of cold conditions, the track was altered for home advantage which almost paid off. So, if King's Lynn produce an ultra grippy surface to try and win the meeting by heat 9 it's swings and roundabouts. In the Play-Offs, doesn't matter which club, which track, which rider's, the end goal is winning. Doesn't matter how bad the racing is to promoters because finals bring punters in regardless. What I'm not saying though is I agree with that but at the same time I understand why promoters 9/10 times choose that route of theory. All about the winning not the racing at this stage in the season.
  4. Absolutely nothing but some Aces fans got their knickers in a twist about the Stars potentially changing track conditions at home for a more home advantage. The Aces changed their track conditions and a bit of practice too so a little bit of hypocrisy
  5. Current track provides awful racing so if they can reconfigure the track all the better for club and league as a whole.
  6. Agree, and if we can have Sheffield, Ipswich, Peterborough and Glasgow come up, Leicester drop down, all the better.
  7. Making mistakes are very relevant to the discussion. When you start removing the duplication the list is smaller. If it goes 1 big league it has to be 6 man teams, 42 team average, and the No6 can't be an average under 4. This would force teams to go strength in depth and a lot more competitive.
  8. Lewis Rose listed twice and he also has retired. That's another 2 off the list Edit Claus Vissing and Lewis Kerr also listed twice. That's now 4 gone Edit 2 Not likely to see Pieszczek again and definitely not Vaculik in the UK 2019 so they too need to be counted out. Edit 3 Nicolaj Busk Jakobsen is on twice
  9. http://www.swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.3181 See Rosco is having a little pop at the lack of support. Putting the blame firmly on the supporters for next year's team already. Unfortunately Alun, this is a pointless meeting for fans to justify passing over their hard earned. As for the last meeting at the current Abbey Stadium, many believe that this could be the last ever Robins home meeting. A little bit of gratitude towards your supporters rather than slagging them off may have gone a little further.
  10. Compared to what is on offer at King's Lynn every week, last night would have been the best meeting of the season to Stars fans that don't have access to TV meetings. Even though there has been far better meetings for Belle Vue fans, you are very spoilt and lucky with what you have on offer every week.
  11. All depends on what happens in the 1st leg of the final as to whether the admission price is worth it. If King's Lynn get beat by 25+ in the 1st leg, it wouldn't matter what the price is, people won't go. Keep the score within 10 and many may feel the admission prices are irrelevant. Seeing the first ever time the Stars win the top flight league title is worth far more than money.
  12. If we make the final (It's never a forgone conclusion) it would depend on the result in the first leg away from home. We've recently been heavily thrashed at Poole and Somerset. If they're charging £20+ the place will be empty for the 2nd leg.
  13. King's Lynn are just not at it. When Simon Lambert is your top scorer you know there's a problem.
  14. Riders wages have to be reduced. I'd go as much as a quarter off. If rider's want the best equipment it's up to them to find those funds. It shouldn't be clubs responsibility to fund the rider's having the best of the best. All rider's should be paid the same from 1-7. Premiership £150 per point. Championship £70 per point and National League £20 per point.
  15. Even if King's Lynn won by 10 or 12 tonight, I still wouldn't write Belle Vue off at King's Lynn. Play-Offs can often lead to an upset.
  16. Would people go for different competitions?? Regular season, a pairs and fours competition and the Premiership rider's championship GP style where teams race every track? With the current Premiership you'd have 12 home fixtures. Every club rides on the same day in a pairs and fours competition at every track. That's an extra 2 meetings for all clubs in the season. Top 2 in the averages in the pairs plus the No7 as reserve. 3rd-6th in the averages race in the 4's, No7 as reserve. After the first 6 home fixtures completed top 2 in the averages go into the GP style Premiership Rider's Championship riding every track in the league. 3rd and 4th in a teams average has the wild cards at their home meetings. Top scorer overall wins. Something a little bit different there and adds extra fixtures for every track. Sure it'll all be a bit more complicated than that but it's a start
  17. So, David Bellego for Bewley, R/R for Cook. Even bigger advantage for the Stars imo
  18. Best wishes to all the Stars fans hitting the road to Belle Vue Fingers crossed the Stars can deliver and and take a huge step towards the Play-Off final.
