  1. You just have to see recordings of races, no need to walk the track
  2. Totally agree. This stage of the season it's win at all costs mentality. Just has to be. Buster has to have the lads in for practice days and have the lads 'rolling in the deep'. To win the league you need to be a team and have a well rehearsed home advantage. Prepare the track and never alter it regardless of weather conditions. If there's bad weather, postpone the meeting, simple as that. Play every card to your advantage. This is King's Lynn's best chance for a long long time to change history.
  3. What he says vvvv No jealousy at all. Love watching racing at the NSS and if every track was the same in this country the sport should be in a far far greater position. But by my no means am I ever going to applaud or acknowledge Morton and the other one, Gordon wasn't it? Belle Vue would have gone bankrupt with them in charge. Also, wasn't it Morton who took no responsibility for the troubles and stabbed his partner in the back to save his own skin?? I love that stadium and the racing it produces but according to the current owners it's still running loses. If Belle Vue can't make ends meet with it's current stadium and quality of racing it delivers, there's nothing for any other clubs to get jealous about apart from putting themselves at serious financial risk.
  4. As long as it's only consultant and doesn't have any involvement in finances.
  5. Now we know why Doyle avoids heat 15's Well done Belle Vue, can't say I'm confident the Stars can do the job over 2 legs
  6. Very poor from Doyle. An easy 5-1 for the Rebels but Doyle decides to leave his team-mate behind. Doyle could be Somerset's main rival over 2 legs. To win the title you need to ride together.
  7. As I predicted, Belle Vue certainly ain't missing Bewley much. Plenty of decent cover for him in this team. King's Lynn will have to be at their very best to get past this team over 2 legs.
  8. Seen comments that tonight's crowd not much bigger than the national league crowds we used to get. With kids back at school and a double header it's to be expected
  9. Same, I said if the Stars make the Play-Offs and final I'd go, but, the VFM is to definitely stay at home and watch it on the box.
  10. I'm gonna give this funding thing a bash myself then, due to ill health I've had to give up my job of 25yrs service. See if I can get others to pay for my lifestyle.
  11. Agree, and the amount raised so far since the gofundme page was set up says it all. Now his injuries are known to not be life threatening or career ending these funding pages are way way over the top. We ALL know injuries happen and are expected in this sport. It's par of the course. Yes we are sorry for Dan as we are for any other rider, but unless injuries are life changing, these funding pages should be banned and used for what they were originally designed for. It's even worse though that some rider's use these funding sites for buying equipment. Best wishes to Dan and he comes back stronger in 2019.
  12. Don't think any bubble has been burst. For King's Lynn, tonight meant a whole load of nothing after last night. Had King's Lynn only picked up a point or nothing last night, tonight would have been very different. I suspect you know that but are on the Troll again.
  13. I've said British Speedway should test the water in having quality line-ups. Bring back the title of "Elite League". 8 teams, 1 x home and away (14) fixtures. No team averages but must contain 4 British riders. Top wins the league. Fixtures take place Monday - Thursday's. The same clubs can then also enter any of the league below, meeting those regulations. The only problem with this though, is, how would clubs maintain the crowds for lower league racing?? We've had it a King's Lynn when we were in the 2nd and 3rd tiers. Even though King's Lynn had some rider's in both teams, only a couple of hundred would turn up for the "2nd" team, making it unviable hence why we no longer run in the National League.
  14. Can't believe Doyle is getting such a hard time for missing heat 15. With more important fixtures coming up, it's right to be cautious. King's Lynn are still all guns blazing and are picking up knocks. This could end up damaging their Play-Offs. Tonight, I'd prefer the Stars to go their tonight and get done 75-15 and just do some testing tonight. In some heats, a bit of gating practice then pull onto the infield and in some heats, let the rebels go from the tapes and just ride around half a lap behind.
  15. Everything's falling into the lap of the Stars tonight. Excellent result. A lot of praying will be had at the Adrian Flux Arena that the weather holds out for the Leicester double header.
  16. With King's Lynn getting 3 points at Wolverhampton and Somerset failing badly, only taking a point at Leicester, this meeting tomorrow is a desperate meeting for Somerset.
  17. Ty Proctor surely a doubt for King's Lynn after withdrawing tonight. With Klindt for Iversen, King's Lynn will be in for a hard time when a result is really needed.
  18. Proctor's withdrawal must put the rest of the week in doubt. A result tomorrow is far more important to top the table
  19. I think we might just do a Poole on Monday, then try to make a statement at Somerset on Tuesday. Even without Iversen we're more than capable. We've been on this road before though, needing to beat bottom of the table Leicester at home to make the Play-Offs and got beaten. Stranger things do happen. Although the Play-Off place is nailed on, the chance to make the first pick is big as the team that does top the table WILL NOT be picking the Pirates.
  20. Throwing in the odd duff meeting doesn't really alter averages all that much when on the rolling scheme.
  21. If you want discuss Somerset you need to go to the Premiership section. This thread is about teams not named after towns or cities. Anyway, apart from Kent and Somerset I don't think there's many more. Edit:- Bristol today is actually classified as a county, so Bristol Bulldogs would qualify.
  22. 15 heats, heats 14 and 15 nominated races. Top 2 in the averages can't ride heat 14, bottom 2 in the averages can't ride heat 15.
  23. Rory Schlein, Craig Cook, Chris Harris, Scott Nicholls, Danny King, Nick Morris, Nicoli Klindt, Stevie Worrall and now, probably Dan Bewley in 2019. These guys are doubling down rather than up. These rider's in theory are way above the Championship level. In saying that, I'll always believe that rider's that don't compete on the continent should be allowed to ride both British divisions. More than the Premiership getting weaker, it's more the Championship getting stronger. The better rider's in the 2nd tier continue at that level so it doesn't cut off an income if things don't go to plan abroad, i.e Craig Cook.
