  1. I'm not Robert's biggest fan and I don't think he'll be one of the world's greats some big him up to be. I've said it many times, he's just a carbon copy of Chris Harris. One thing that can't be questioned though is his willingness, commitment and desire to race for King's Lynn. There's so many possible reasons why he didn't ride Monday but 'can't be bothered' isn't one of them.
  2. Ford is likely to come out with the usual promoters response "I pay your wages, get on with it" no doubt.
  3. 4 from 4 for Lambert tonight, all the points from 2nd places coming in the reserve races. I'd say it's a worry for Saturday.
  4. Strangely, I have my ticket but still waiting for 2 child tickets to come
  5. It wasn't really though as it. Bjerre just curb crawling, always get passed at Poole doing that.
  6. Even the tractor is bouncing around the track doing the grading. What an embarrassing advert for Premiership Speedway Poole have put on. AND I'M LOVING IT
  7. I bet Poole wish the camera stayed in the pits, it's the only place they're looking good
  8. I don't think Smith will get heat 14, likely to be a reserve swap with Bewley
  9. No lack of enthusiasm for the racing, it was way better than anything served up at King's Lynn these days. Just disappointed in how the Glasgow riders just let the Panthers blast round the outside time and time again. Someone needs to have a chat with the curb crawler Bacon. Made some really good starts and on the pace but doesn't move from the white line at all and gets passed easily.
  10. Lambert has a broken wrist and neck pain after a crash at Newcastle last night. He still intends to race the SWC. Personally, the decision imo should be taken out of his hands and be replaced by Danny King.
  11. It'll be the same no doubt. The SWC's of the past at the AFA have been mainly been gate and go so can't see it being any different this time.
  12. Didn't live up to expectations but what is it with away side at Peterborough. Glasgow gated ok but constantly curb crawled and the Panthers blasted round the outside.
  13. He loves getting on his bike and if there's an opportunity to ride he'll take it. He's not riding like he's burnt out so right now it's not a problem.
  14. It's not actually true though is it, if a player has been in the UK long enough to earn British Citizenship and passport they can represent England even if they've represented other country at full international level. Off the top of my head we had it with Bruce Grobbelaar and more recently Wojciech Szczęsny. Same as most sports though, pro-athletes don't tend to stick around long enough to gain citizenship.
  15. Sod all the nonsense on this thread, what's important is it the tracks good this should be a great meeting for BT to kick off the league campaign.
  16. Unfortunately, the BSPA or any other sporting federation have no say in the process. There's a legal position on this where Rory covers all the criteria to race the British Final. As much as it upsets some, Rory can compete as much as he so wishes.
  17. Doyle looked in absolute agony at the end, should think he'll sit out league racing until SWC next weekend
  18. A top top SGP. You really can't help but like Doyle, has everything you want in a rider. Tonight really did serve up some butt hole nipping, looking through your fingers moments. This has been one of the best series since the GP's started. I'm a little concerned on what junk could come through the GP Challenge in August for 2018.
  19. Looking forward to this one, should be a cracking meeting. Hopefully it's a dry but dull day and plenty of water gets put down to keep the dust to a minimum.
  20. Unfortunately after all the talk and being asked to be judged on 2017 Buster hasn't walked the walk as BSPA Chairman. This season has been as bigger mess as any other offer the last decade. The new chairman has been a flop imo
  21. So, can this team be improved by re-declaring to 42.00 or like for like or is this the best available? 1. Troy Batchelor 7.93 2. Thomas Jorgensen 6.08 3. Kai Huckenbeck 6.17 4. Robert Lambert 7.46 5. Chris Holder 7.27 6. Lewis Rose 5.33 7. Danny Ayres 3.00 43.24 I'd say it's the best we can do, maybe Ty Proctor or Justin Sedgmen could add top league experience and bring some Aussie camaraderie
  22. Some people may think that's some statement but I actually agree. For Rose though, he seems to get tangled up with injuries every season. Had he not suffered injuries the last couple of years he'd be an established 2nd string going on 3rd heatleader comfortably. Lambert has got real issues with his gating ala Chris Harris, it's gonna really kill his progression if he doesn't get that sorted. With regards to Lambert also, I think he has to get away from King's Lynn while the track conditions are as they are now and get on a "real" Premiership race track. Somewhere like Somerset or Belle Vue.
  23. Shouldn't miss any Wednesday home meetings which is the most important
  24. I'll be taking in more visits to the best track in the Championship at Peterborough
