  1. Problem is what he wants as chairman has to be agreed by all the other promoters. He can't just say this and that is happening and all the other promoters accept it. Saying all that, any failure to deliver improvement to the sport is a failure of him as chairman
  2. Thing is, these bikes aren't much different to our PL days and we had no problems with the deep stuff back then. The tracks only gone slick since the step back up to the top league. It may be coincidental that we had slick track specialists in the Danish riders in the team. It also may be coincidental that the Dane's finished bottom yesterday because the track was grippy, same as last year's SWC. To get the racing back to it's best at the AFA the change in shale is step 1, just need to make it deeper and tell the rider's if they don't like it to deal with it or get lost. Entertainment has to be the main focus.
  3. Here's the problem, it's not been enjoyable at all in 2017
  4. Have you been to King's Lynn this season or you just turning a blind eye to the obvious?
  5. Many are, that's great advice and exactly what King's Lynn and British Speedway can afford isn't it
  6. Now, that would be a farce but not a surprise of that was to be decided
  7. And he smashed into the safety fence after some showboating wheelies
  8. GB are officially better than Denmark on the world stage, sensational stuff I'm in stock, Hans Nielsen to get the sack I should imagine after that. For the Race-Off I don't think the Aussie's will have enough, fancy Russia to do it
  9. Nope It's grippy, what a difference it makes as it's giving racing lines all over
  10. Plenty of dirt on it too so these bikes can handle it. Bring back the deep stuff Buster
  11. All depends if he's continuing with the new shale or whether is was a specific requirement for the SWC. We'll see over the next couple of weeks I suppose.
  12. The BSPA may have gone round this system the wrong way in some areas but I believe it has pushed riders on in their development. Some riders may have gone back down a league, doubling up etc but they're all better than they were. To me, that's a successful scheme, not everyone one of our it will be a world beater but it looks them on the road to knowing what the best of the best do.
  13. Of course but that's not GB's problem, the rider has the problem but as above this thread needs to move on from Woffinden. Our current 4 have a great chance of matching last year's silver, what a brilliant achievement that would be.
  14. Looking at the teams from Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Australia and Latvia GB have a great chance for silver in the final. Poland are way ahead of the rest of the world right now and for me, the winners isn't in doubt. The difference between 2nd and 4th in the final will be not a lot, if we finish 4th, as long as a fight has been put up I'll be very proud of this "team".
  15. Most people can see past their opinions of a rider and know that what the SCB have done here is ridiculous. Let's be honest, he's only signed documents because he wants to ride his bike. No different to signing a work contract because you want that job. Same as signing a mobile phone contract, because you want that phone. T's & C's don't cross the majority of people's minds when they really want it.
  16. It made me laugh, the PG Tips monkey was brilliantly funny
  17. Said British Speedway is run by a bunch of monkeys. Facts hurt so they've given him a £150 fine
  18. One thing I'd try is add more dirt / rip it up more. Our at least rip up the outside, if a rider goes out wide they seem to go backwards. The only part of the track that's anything like the old grippy days is the starts.
  19. The tweet that got my back up the most was he replied to some with "I don't care less what fans think, once I have a big a$$ house, bad a$$ car and a beautiful family you'll all be forgotten."
  20. Back to 'us' though. Can we make a team change (not that I would personally) or do we have to go with the rider's we had last night?
  21. I'm a big Woffinden fan but I have to say very disappointingly, he made himself look a complete arrogant d!k on Twitter last night. GB put in a terrific performance but he enjoyed making last night all about him. With that arrogance, I'd be happy for him to be kept away from the GB team. To be in the team it has to be about us as a collective and not about "me". As a fan of his, I'm gutted by his attitude
  22. If we get last night's Holder and Batchelor and last night's super trapping Lambert we can make a fight of this league campaign. We've got the same issues as previous seasons in that the rider's don't seem to click all at the same time. That's what's working for Wolves and Belle Vue at the moment, their top 5 are on it. Man for man though, there's not much in it between them and us, we're waiting for the click
  23. As for last night, the racing wasn't great but that really didn't matter to us in the crowd. It's strange that once there's a proper atmosphere around, when the team perform like that the racing is secondary. Had it been a league meeting everyone would of moaned, especially me. Feel for the TV viewers but last night was absolutely bloody brilliantly awesome.
