  1. JC, how financially viable would you see speedway if say:- 6 man teams 10 team league Each club supply (own) 18 identical machines for riders + cover repair bills per season. Start of season top heatleader picks 3 from 18 machines, 2nd in averages picks 3 from 15 etc. Machines are then tagged to said rider's. Only 2 machines per rider per meeting. Any rider can use any of the other 10 team members machines per meeting after completing 2 rides. Etc etc etc Could taking the equipment away from the riders responsibility reduce costs?
  2. It really is amazing how different customers can be treated by the same company. I only have everything but praise for BT after they called me back and offered a better deal when I didn't ask for it. Are you a ranter & raver down the phone?
  3. If I had a helicopter I'd be requesting Air Traffic Control find me & anyone else alternative routes so the speedway vortex doesn't suck us in. Makes you unhappy but you can't find a way out until you finally crash.
  4. You're right that we've had brilliant tracks in the past but we've had to wait around until 8.30 for heat 1. Also we've more than enough stinkers too. Then we'd see the next speedway debacle of the 'race to heat 10' while huge black clouds linger. While the race to heat 10 is on us fans stand around counting the discount value if the meeting doesn't make 10 heats. In hindsight, the right thing has been done but in totally the wrong way with no real explanation. That's what has got people's goat's more than anything
  5. After all my moaning this week I think King's Lynn & or Sky made the right call. Last thing we'd want as fans is to watch Buster doing track work until 8.30 then another shower comes in.
  6. What I can gather it will be BT Sports 2, same as MotoGP As an existing customer you should be able to get the full sports for £3 month extra atm.
  7. It was never in doubt who you were. But you could of at least smiled ya miserable git Real name: Danny Smith Twitter: KLStarsFan
  8. Are you really not seeing anything wrong with the way King's Lynn is currently run? Sadly many that have been attending for 20+ years have walked. This is purely down to how the fans feel they're treated. £17 to just stand there and watch possessional racing then go home. Today, that just isn't enough
  9. Impossible, King's Lynn are on the ball when it comes to notifying about changes
  10. I hope he has a right stinker of a season after he let us down badly last season.
  11. Huge test on paper but Belle Vue have had next to no track time so I'm expecting a heavy home win 55-37
  12. Just had a thought. Signing Jakobsen may have been the club thinking ahead. Huckenbeck being moved to No'8 acts as a safe guard for the hope that Iversen stays on. If he does, Batchelor comes in for Jakobsen meaning Huckenbeck doesn't then go elsewhere and we lose an asset. Also, if Batchelor comes back and finds he's not ready at least Huckenbeck is still available and ready to go. Could be a little mini masterstroke
  13. I think you're failing to realise it's not Belle Vue's fault. First they have no say or knowledge of track conditions until race day & getting 5-6000 fans in a stadium for the meeting to get cancelled. Wasn't Belle Vue's fault ya know. Now it seems other clubs are calling meetings off before they themselves know. Not Belle Vue's fault ya know. Bloody contractors
  14. SCB, rule states 17.4.1.1: A declared #8 can be used as a replacement at any time for a #1 to #5 Team Member. No mention of EDR only. It's any if the 1 to 5 I should imagine if the No'8's average goes above any of the 1-5 then that average will count towards the teams total but will remain no'8
  15. So then Jakobsen should be riding Thursday and not Huckenbeck. Scrap that 17.4.1.1: A declared #8 can be used as a replacement at any time for a #1 to #5 Team Member
  16. With our first EL meeting on Thursday and Huckenbeck in the side and no Peterborough fixture clash that suggests to me Jakobsen is no'8
  17. I was referring to our DU rider Robert Lambert How I understand it too
  18. Jakobsen must be number 8. There's no need for a D/U partner for Lambert as our fixtures take priority over his PL club so would be a pointless move.
  19. I don't think the BSPA need to know the "in's & out's" of what the contractors have our haven't done. Their investigation will be about the Belle Vue promotions du diligence. The Belle Vue promotion hold the responsible of opening the turnstiles to the public in the knowledge that everything is fit & proper. It's widely reported that everything wasn't in order with the track but still made the choice to open the turnstiles and get rider's and punter's in. All Belle Vue's responsibility. To the BSPA that's all that matters, & rightly so. The contractors are totally irrelevant.
  20. The stadium holds 10,000. So it was a sell out as they already knew they'd be holding the opening meeting twice
  21. 4 bends is the correct terminology of oval racing. It references the exit and entrance of the straights
