  1. Can picture the Stars disaster 2016 now 1. Watt 7.19 2. Bech 6.16 3. Lambert 6.59 4. Schlein 6.24 5. Batchelor 6.91 6. Kerr 4.22 7. Rose 3.00 Ave: 40.31
  2. If Iversen isn't in we just have no hope and a drop in attendance could be on the cards. Disaster
  3. I think a bigger crowd for the race-off has nothing to do with lack of national support, more to do with us seeing the Star riders less and less, year on year live at our tracks
  4. Negative spin time. Could these signings be sweetner to keep the fans on side but hold no damage to rider's if the stadium doesn't happen? The situation would be worse for a higher standard rider Just a thought
  5. Once the BSPA included rider's like Howarth who was a 2nd string last season PL averages was the only option.
  6. Lewis Rose lives in Sutton Bridge, South Lincolnshire. 9 miles from the Adrian Flux Arena
  7. And there you have to ask the question, connection with the fans? Over the last 2-3 seasons that has been terrible at our own club. Last season, the worst is ever been imo. We were left in the dark week after week and only let his feelings known at our very last league match. I agree though, he'd be a HUGH success but I repeat, the other promoter's won't allow the changes he would like to see I have no doubt about that. Trying to get past the 'old boys club' is one hell of a challenge to take on. For the sport, I really hope he pulls out off but just don't see it
  8. For some it will be. There's been to much reading between the lines by some
  9. Fixed race nights are good to a point. That point is injuries to heatleaders. R/R or squads just won't cut it for me. As I've mentioned before, quite simply restrict the number of time EL teams can ride in a week i.e. 1 home, 1 away. That is as good as fixed race nights but better imo. Calendars can be planned much better for the top riders + those doubling up. The plan would then be the EL release their fixtures, then the PL works around their double up riders to minimise fixture clashes, then the NL release theirs. It's very simple but I know what some are going to say with their blinkers on, "why should the PL work around the EL?" It's simple, we have to make the Elite League the pinnacle of British Speedway and an aim that all British riders want to be at. It the produce at the very top is good, it then filters down to the lower leagues. It's all about working together. The Elite League is what sells the sport to future sponsors, future riders, future fans. We have to get it right, now. Buster is the ideal, but I just think the other promoters will as always shackle any improvements.
  10. Or he wants to say farewell to the fans face to face and show his appreciation of the support given?
  11. Moaning about nothing. Do we really need a list? Just convert all British PL riders averages, just use a bit of common sense and you can roughly work out who'll be in it
  12. BSPA Chairman's Stars XII 1. Iversen 2. Pedersen 3. Woffinden 4. Kildermand 5. Doyle 6. Lambert 7. Kerr
  13. It doesn't look like there's 2 tier groups for reserves. There's probably a batch of about 15-20 British rider's with converted PL averages and those that were in the tier 2 last season will likely all be on the standard minimum of a 3 average. It's now a free for all to sign whoever you want, they way it should be.
  14. Absolutely, after his first four meetings he could end up as Wolves no'1 on a 10 average
  15. Procedural things like "Matt Ford's always put the most money into the BSPA coffers so we'll let him have that one but nobody else". Buster Chapman is a dream appointment for British Speedway, unfortunately he's not going to be allowed to move the sport forward by other promoters. Chairman only really get overall call on split decisions, other than that it's pretty much "as we are".
  16. Absolutely terrific Australian SGP. Had a bit of everything. Holder's form is without doubt an effect of what's happened to his best mate and is struggling to come to terms with it. Think he's needing the winter (summer in his homeland) break.
  17. Can't see the draft system working now. Let's go hypothetical here. Kerr or Garrity obtain (absolutely possible) a 10 average from 4 meetings, could they then get replaced by Nicki Pedersen?
  18. I understand meetings are time limited but referees don't seem to stick to it. Isn't it 5mins from the end of a heat to the start of the next including the 2min clock? That's 1h15mins excluding intervals. Obviously crashes and 2 rides back to back interfere but surely it's not difficult to be in and around that time frame?
  19. 1. Doyle 9.44 2. Porsing 4.70 3. Lambert 6.59 4. Jonas Andersen 3.36 5. Iversen 8.98 6. Kerr 4.22 7. Rose 3.00 Ave 40.29
  20. Nobody can prove their fitness until they've thrown their leg over a bike. No matter how much gym work these guys do it'll be their mental state that counts. We can't judge that until tapes up. If the say they want to ride and Buster & Rob believe in them then why wouldn't contract talks already be done and dusted
  21. Lakeside won't be racing at Kent, Kent will be racing as Kent. Lakeside will be no more, that how I understand the situation
  22. He would be the idea person but unfortunately won't get the nod because he won't accept or tolerate the crap. BSPA only want a yes man in charge
