  1. That's true but there are mumblings that he's had a change of heart and is staying (fingers crossed)
  2. We are that low with some spare Iversen 8.98 Batchelor 6.91 Lambert 6.43 Schlein 5.98 Korneliussen 5.72 Wilkinson 3.20 Lambert 3.11 40.33 If the reserves perform well over the next 3 fixtures that will cause the promotion a headache. The reserves then receive official averages for the minimum 2 home 2 away fixtures & will take us above 40.50 inc Batchelor
  3. What do we need an average reduction for? We're nowhere near the limit as it is
  4. Not going tomorrow Though call this result but the Stars to just edge it 46-44
  5. Feel for the Aces, they're just gonna get blasted
  6. Just me then, I thought for what time he was given both interviews were ok
  7. We understand that. So now it's 2017, would you sign Newman on a 7.00 average? Really!!
  8. Well done the BSPA Are we going to share every clubs shenanigans to even up the score a little?? They're all at it Belle Vue - The burst water pipe - 5>6000 fans in a stadium knowing no meeting was ever going to happen King's Lynn - Buster faking a heart issue to delay the start of a meeting because a rider wasn't in attendance - Unrepairable stadium electrical issue I bet everyone has a story to tell about their own club. THEY ARE ALL AT IT - FACT!! Poole are not the problem, the BSPA are. It's happening from the very top of the Elite League to the very bottom of the National League. It's about time people get their skulls around that idea. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeverything a club gets away with becomes the associations fault. That is FACT
  9. 2016 Averages as per http://klstars.co.uk 2016 AVERAGES GSA Niels-Kristian Iversen 10.29 Mads Korneliussen 7.08 Kai Huckenbeck 4.92 Robert Lambert 4.31 Lewis Rose 3.69 Carl Wilkinson 3.67 Rory Schlein 2.67 36.63 ROLLING GREENSHEET AVERAGES GSA Niels-Kristian Iversen 9.13 Robert Lambert 6.29 Rory Schlein 6.04 Mads Korneliussen 5.63 Kai Huckenbeck 4.92 Lewis Rose 3.69 Carl Wilkinson 3.67 39.37
  10. People are not walking away because of Poole. They're walking because of the lack of balls by the BSPA. Credit has to go to Ford as he's the man proving time & time again how inept the BSPA & SCB are at abiding by & understanding their own rulebook & allowing incorrect interpretation
  11. That reference isn't just Matt Ford though is it. There is no evidence anywhere from any other promoter that they're interested in British Speedway's future All sports & business in general is all about "What makes me the most money". Every club is looking after no'1. Matt Ford isn't Speedway's biggest cancer, it's the way the BSPA has been run as a whole over the last 20yrs.
  12. A lot of chat that Niels has had a change of heart (fingers crossed). In terms of who gets replaced, it's nobody as such, as Huckenbeck is No'8 so Batchelor will just slot in. Huckenbeck will then be available if and when one of the top 5 start misfiring. Nobody gets sacked
  13. Could it be that both sides could be kind of right with the Loram argument. All sorts of shenanigans happen in negotiations. Hypothetically: Loram: I want £300pp Ford: Get back to ya Rickardsson: I want £500pp Ford: World Champion only wants £400pp Rickardsson: I might not be World Champion but by far a better rider so I'll do £380pp Ford: Done Ford puts out a press release saying Loram was more expensive to keep Rickardsson sweet thinking Loram and Rickardsson won't talk. Loram calls out knowing Rickardsson was £80pp more. In terms of negotiations Rickardsson was £20pp less So everyone goes up in arms as they only get fed one side of the story.
  14. Batchelor has just Tweeted he's gained an extra meeting back for May. So definitely returning
  15. If Newman finishes with an 8 average that's his EL career fooked in an instant as no club will touch him, including Poole
  16. I asked regarding the reserve picks at King's Lynn the other week. 2016 had no draft picks. There was a reserve list divided into 2 tiers by Premier League averages Clubs & rider's could choose where they wanted to be
  17. Not much interest around this fixture?!?! I know the feeling It does look like another weather interference will affect this fixture though
  18. Yep, I have no problem with what Matt has said because he's RIGHT.
  19. I'd say go but choose carefully. Pick the venue Pick the visitors Pick the weather Do that for all of 2016 the sport may suck you back in ready for 2017 on
  20. This is a fortnightly podcast set up by Eastern Daily Press sports reporter Gavin Carney. With him he has current Sheffield captain Simon Stead and former rider & now Poultec Speedway Apprenticeship manager Olly Allen. It's a national speedway podcast so it's relevant to all speedway fans, give them a listen. All feedback welcome per links below and get involved. This is purely for us Speedway fans Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/edphomestraight/?fref=ts Twitter: @EDPHomeStraight Link to listen: https://www.acast.com/homestraight
  21. Dried up? Twitter and Facebook has been full of Stars news this week. Far more than when Gent was around. Can't say whether that's Gent's fault or whether the club are making a point. Either way, this week has been an improvement for communication imo
  22. I can see what you mean by that. To me and I've said it in the past that I think Robert is a carbon copy of Chris Harris. Can't gate for toffee and it will hold him back. When Wroclaw were in town, young Pole Drabik is a similar age and a mile ahead in development.
  23. If the weather doesn't get in the way this could be exactly the track Leicester's Pole's will enjoy. Away win 42-48
  24. I use to say that but it's actually not true. It's more about the VFM. Game is changing in that alot of rider's train like athletes and their machinery is of exceptional high standard. This in turn allows the rider's to make fewer & fewer mistakes. Add to that, tracks today are billiard tables Thus meaning 9/10 times races are done after the 1st lap. Most action on track that happens after the first lap tends to be because someone's machine is a little faster than another. Thinking about it, having identical standard bikes could make the situation worse and totally rely on gating. What speedway needs, for every track to have the dirt about 2" deep all over. That would make things much more exciting and set out the men from the boys & imo deliver the VFM needed then £17 wouldn't be a problem.
  25. I have thought that maybe the elite league racing could become a 4TT still using the home and away format. Home: King's Lynn v Poole v Swindon v Belle Vue Away: Poole v Lakeside v King's Lynn v Wolverhampton The if teams wish to also run the traditional 7 man format they could enter the PL or NL
