King's Lynn V Lakeside Tues 31st Sky 7.30
Daniel Smith replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I've said and agree, our track isn't what it was & it hasn't been for some time but it had nothing to do with tonight. An NL side would have put up a better battle than Lakeside tonight. The reason we win 'track of the year' year on year is down to it's consistency & riders trust in it. It certainly doesn't win race track of the year and it hasn't been a racing circuit for a good 7-8 years. At most, we get 2-3 good races a meeting and probably 1 great 1 amongst those of we're lucky. But the showing tonight can only lay blame at 1 teams door. They never even got close enough for rear wheel chasing. -

Think we could argue all night about it Regarding Kerr's crash it clearly showed on the replays he over cooked the backend. Those crashes happen week in week out around the world. Blaming the track for Lakeside's incompetence is taking the argument over the top. -

1 top draw maximum a swan it does not make. Time and space is required -
King's Lynn V Lakeside Tues 31st Sky 7.30
Daniel Smith replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sky may be the clue?? Almost every meeting on Sky is generally pretty bad is it not?? Track was smooth & slick, exactly what else are we supposed to do to make this an entertaining meeting. Start 15m back every heat?? I will admit and said many times the track hasn't produced top draw racing week in week out but tonight was pure and simple. The visitors added nothing. Lakeside were the only reason for a poor televised meeting. They looked like they weren't even trying -

Tonight is just down to extremely poor visitors. Track it smooth enough and prepared better than anywhere in the country with adverse weather conditions We also have to bear in mind that Poole were the original team in this televised meeting but because of their p!$$!ng around over the Ward situation and pulling out, Lakeside were the only team that stepped in to fill the schedule. -

Stop playing games, everyone knows you're Steve Hone. Starman is the first person to spot it, what a guy Phil Rising, you should have this guy do some detective work for the Speedway Star rather than selling it to 5 people a week. A bright kid this one with a big future. -

Know exactly what you mean. This is our clubs 50th anniversary and I don't think I've known a more flat atmosphere around the club ever. Last Thursday I was so bored. Maybe my expectations were set to high but the show Schlein put on really has made me think long and hard with regards to value for money. I just felt so let down last week -

Absolutely, most of the time rider's are chatting amongst themselves with a "couldn't give a sh!+ about the fans but I'll go round with my hand half up to look interested" on parade. The same can be said for the heat victory lap (most just turn straight back to the pits though) & the victory parade. The whole presentation of British Speedway is a disgrace and it was highlighted even more so at Rory Schlein's testimonial- 47 replies

On any normal home meeting we'd smash Lakeside but being on Sky and the predicted weather, Tuesday will be anything but normal -
King's Lynn V Poole, Elite Shield, 26/03/15

It was announced as a quick interval last night due to stoppages. If 15 mins is a quick interval it's gonna be a long season -

Was IMO an extremely poor meeting. A couple of good battles but in the main well strung out heats. Hope all injured rider's are back asap -

That's not true though is it. 15-16yo's are not the next big thing ever. At 20-22 they're still extremely young but you start to establish their mentality for the sport. 1 World title doesn't make a legend but multiples do. You win 1 World title, can you be the next big thing to win many more. This is the position Woffy is at IMO -

OMG, are these kids even allowed to breath without being branded the next big things. Time is required and when a rider has had 5+ years in the top flight is the time to judge whether there's World Champion potential. Once bird's & beer get in their life that hope it's evaporated quickly. -
That idea was scrapped early doors after many riders complained due to some having difficulty reaching the floor with their feet while on their bikes Edit: Amended start procedure 15.3.1 Riders may prepare their Start area, whilst in full, personal control of their motorcycle, including having the Cut-Out Lanyard attached, and with their motorcycle facing the direction of racing.

I don't get this procedure at all. All it means is the guy rolled in first gets extra gardening time over the others. 2mins clock, that's all that's required

Speedway Champions League ?
Daniel Smith replied to PolskiZuzel's topic in International World of Speedway
I'm very much a Stars fan thanks, not a fan of a joke competition if that's ok?? I'm not going to be blinkered like the Poole fans last year over what is a farce. The dream for me is to see my team win the Elite League, that is the ultimate and I'm looking forward to seeing us try again in that for 2015 Genuinely hope you & other Stars fans enjoy your time over there, it's not for me -

We'll be lucky to finish 4th. We have a terrible side compared to the other 3 teams and nobody is expecting anything more. At the end of the day, it's a sh!+€ speedway competition that most British Speedway fans couldn't really give 2 monkeys about. -
Peterborough now looking for a short term replacement of Roynon. Better hope they don't perform or the new racesuit will a wardrobe ornament

Race Suit Regulations
Daniel Smith replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That may be the case but what I was getting at really was that there's nothing in the 2015 regulations that says the legs part of the reacesuits have to be black -
It looks like this has changed / been missed from the 2015 regulations that the Racesuits have to be predominantly black on the legs The only image I've seen this being tested is NKI's new suit at King's Lynn's Press & Practice where he's gone predominantly blue http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i467/KLStars127/Iversen_zpswjauohxc.jpg

Of course they can sign Woffy or Killer if their averages fit. You're making it up.

I think Risager would have gone on to be World class but for injuries. That 1st leg break set him back and never really recovered from picking up further injuries along the way which absolutely hammers confidence. This will be Lambert's test, recovery from injuries. Mental strength As I've said before, at the moment Lambert is a carbon copy of Chris Harris. Great to watch as a racer but can't gate for toffee. Time will tell, he may be a slow burner then bang in his top form from his mid to late 20's. Every rider is different.
