  1. I think Nicki Pedersen in 2015. Has his mad moments but is always there or thereabouts come the end. He's going to turn it on in the SGP 2015. He's now No'2 Dane and he bloody hates it. Out to make a statement, I just have a feeling
  2. I've just got BT Broadband and I've got BT Sport on the TV and on-line included
  3. Absolutely, Poole have done a cracking job with keeping Darcy Ward on the straight and narrow haven't they Bridger is one of those characters that needs cuddles and reigning in from time to time. Middlo isn't in that league. More like, spend a night in the pub getting wasted and a fight after.
  4. It is great news to see both clubs survive but it is disappointing to to see Cradley remain NL. With the teams they put out I just don't see what they offer to the league winning home and away week in week out. Cradley remaining NL though could be part of the terms set by Mole as Cradley being in a higher league could damage his business.
  5. I think overall there's more for than against with the meeting point scoring system. But the only negative to it is the fact home teams can have tactical rides. To gain the full positives of the scoring system the T/R's have to be scrapped for home teams IMO
  6. Have to remember that we've been flicking between Wednesday and Thursday this season and there's been no noticeable difference from one or the other. I probably prefer the Thursday's though
  7. One of the biggest differences today from years gone by is the shale content. If the track isn't clay based then it becomes harder to keep the shale down low anyway. Once the initial track prep has been shifted out wide and down to the base even after a track grade you get 1-2 races and is gone again from the inside. Even raking the content back to the inside is actually a pointless exercise. Most tracks are using a more marble (rounded) type material that has a much less clay content. The old type shale used to be more flat and splint material which helped with grip during contact between tyre and base. The only (none starting) solution would be to re-lay the track and pack it on the inside half way through a meeting. Also, compared to years gone by the amount of material used has disappeared. To me, this is more down to cost rather than down to laydown motors. I'm not having deep tracks couldn't be used with today's engines or silencers. Rider's would have to learn throttle control on the big tracks as well as the smaller tracks rather than keeping it twisted South for all 4 laps. There would be more racing lines also Bring Back The Deep Track
  8. Not at all, she enjoys the job and is looking to continue.
  9. I turned it off after 6 heats, just couldn't get into it
  10. Think it's time Poland lost a round. With the SEC, Polish fans are turning their backs on the GP's as seen with the earlier rounds. Torun & another would be enough.
  11. That question has already been answered as he was part of their crew at the TorunSGP this weekend. They're clearly standing by him.
  12. As some have said the referee's may never exclude anyone. But for me, a far more dangerous situation could arise where rider's over ride and take harder risks knowing if it goes wrong they could be back in the rerun through "a racing incident". We're never going to agree on every exclusion and that adds to the entertainment. For me, I'd keep the exclusion rule purely for safety purposes.
  13. It just goes to show how difficult a decision it was for the referee. I also think the referee called it correct. Looking at the incident from start to finish I'm not having it that KK knew Pedersen was there and tried to lean on him is absolutely balls. Pedersen was 4th going down the back straight and to go from 4th to 1st Pedersen took a totally unnatural line to go into the bend. KK didn't look behind him and just looked to race his own race. Pedersen made contact with KK forcing KK wide who himself tried bloody hard to stay on. I wouldn't of called it any other way than how the referee called it. I though it was pretty straight forward. It's all down to opinion and any suggestion that the referee bottled it is ridiculous.
  14. Well, I'm now 100% certain that Monster will force through Darcy being included in 2015 as a Wildcard if the FIM don't ban him. Very disappointed to see a video that shows Ward hanging around with the Monster crew in all Monster clobber. It's a shame that the SGP's main sponsors have shown misguided priorities. While suspended Ward should not be around or involved in any manor to do with speedway. Sets an absolutely s#!+ example IMO
  15. This season as a whole King's Lynn hasn't offered much in terms of racing and nobody can really put a finger on why this is but to me UK tracks run to slick and that is one of the things at King's Lynn. It has been to slick for my liking.
  16. Just thinking back when it use to be properly prepared and plenty of dirt. That place could still be one of the best when right
  17. We have tracks like it King's Lynn Peterborough Sheffield Coventry We just don't have the standard of rider that can use and abuse these places. We have to many trick tracks with to many trick track riders and for us in the UK absolutely hampers our ability to progress on the world stage. To many tracks are really badly prepared and the better tracks also in the wrong leagues.
  18. Congratulations Greg Hancock. As big a legend in the sport as any other rider in history. Real Worldy
  19. You like crashes, fair enough but the main reason for not showing replays will be down to relatives viewing and respect required.
  20. Absolutely agree but the availability of the Millennium Stadium is a major problem in October and that's the only venue that could justify such an event. Wembley would be a no go as seen already weather wise this month.
  21. You are correct on your 1st part but if Ward is free to compete in 2015 I have no doubt Monster will push for Ward to get a wildcard. It wouldn't surprise me if they've stipulated it in their renewed contact. Everybody knows in the right frame of mind Darcy is World Champion material and Monster want part of that. This was seen with Woffinden. Started last year's World Championship bear on sponsorship, then starts floating around the top of the leaderboard, BANG, Monster sponsorship done. These guys want their name topping the charts, that means including Darcy. It all comes down to the FIM decision though. If he's cleared he'll be in the 2015 series, no doubt. Hopefully the FIM make the right decision though and that's at least a 2 year ban with the 2nd year suspended with Ward having to take a test at every meeting including league meetings.
