  1. With you there. Considering Andersen was on his home Swedish track he wasn't awfully quick, often holding people up. Mads and Kildermand had more pace and would be more suited to Bydgoszcz as a throttle ringing race track.
  2. Ok, your opinion is wrong, that's my opinion but other opinions welcome
  3. That really was a meeting that should be shouted from the roof tops but right now I couldn't give a s#!¥te. All thoughts are with Andre
  4. Hope Compton is ok, that is the worst thing the ever watch. Pleased Sky didn't replay that
  5. Virtually empty? I thought it looks quite a healthy crowd. Sheffield's back straight is closed to spectators by the way for health and safety of I remember correctly.
  6. The loss of Huggy was huge. Buster is an excellent track curator with pre-meeting preparation, i.e. blading, laying etc but Huggys use of the tractor was amazing. He created racing lines with a slick inside gradually getting deeper the closer to the fence you got. We don't see that anymore with the dirt consistent inside to out. The most evident to that has been the lack of riders being able to gain ground with an outside blasts. That certainly has been the case since our return to the Elite League.
  7. Not sure that's true. More likely BSI don't approve of the rent fee's for hiring the grounds + the extra cost that would be required to introduce grandstands on the back straights. But you have to admit, for pure racing there's no better place in the UK
  8. Peterborough is an ideal venue, and not just for the action on track but off it. Acres of space to allow BSI / Monster to have other things going on pre meeting and could make it a mini Cardiff type event. I like the meeting at my home track King's Lynn but it is restrictive to having other things going on during the day. I'd like to see these events have that bit extra about them, especially when held on a weekend
  9. Someone using a camera while team GB were going round on the parade truck is hardly evidence as clearly the meeting is finished. Many people take pictures then. It may not be the same person during and after the meeting. All I said was, that I hadn't seen anyone use a red light camera during the meeting. There also wasn't any evidence of it on the TV either. There's been no photo evidence of this red light on social media during racing, only a photo at the end of the event, that's not evidence.
  10. Regarding the red light on the camera. They may not have been aware that red lights are a distraction to the rider's but the 100's around them would. Why did nobody say anything to them?? Have to say from where I was I didn't even see the red light and it certainly never showed up on the TV either. Agree with what was said earlier, I think Darcy used it as an excuse to call a rerun as Harris had the beating of him
  11. I was under the impression that the UK won't get the race-off and final until Belle Vue s National Stadium was completed.
  12. Yes but he didn't hope over the gate, remained stood on track as the rider's came over the start finish at full speed. Its unacceptable and dangerous. The reaction would have been silence due to the rider being GB and in his home country, exactly the same as any other sport but doesn't mean people would approve. Silently would have been criticised and also lambasted on here & other social media I have no doubt.
  13. He certainly didn't park up in the centre. He parked himself on track just past the start line gesturing to the referee while the other riders were down the back straight forcing the referee to put the red lights on. His retirement before that he parked his bike on the centre and as the rider's came past for lap 4 he walked across the track to the pit gate gesturing while the race continued. 2 very dangerous acts not just for himself but fellow rider's. I have never seen Pedersen, Woffinden, Crump etc attempt to be as stupid as that ever. Darcy was an absolute fool last night and almost the whole stadium let him know what they thought. A professional sportsman acting totally unprofessional and a huge Darcy Ward's a banker song was sung and boos every time he was seen or mentioned.
  14. It's a situation that will never be eradicated with modern technology. Speedway needs to find a new solution to stop a race. Maybe red strobing strip lights across the airfences or similar.
  15. Darcy is a brat and I hope he never wins the individual World title. His attitude was inexcusable last night. Twitter was absolutely hilarious last night too. Poole fans supporting Australia, Poole fans defending Ward, Poole fans banging their stupid PiratePride, PiratesForLife etc hashtag drum It really p!$$es me off in speedway when joker Brits support other national teams. It's not about the individuals, it's about National pride for our Nation. Woffinden gets battered and called an "Aussie" yet we have our own supporting other Nations, very sad. Agree with Blacksmith too, it is Great Britian, not England. The racing wasn't great last night by any stretch, but the atmosphere really did make up for the poor racing. So wish tracks up and down the country could replicate it and see it week in week out
  16. Absolute dross of a meeting. Way way way to slick. Only line is right round the curb
  17. Extra bums on seats not required as the place is close to almost full
  18. Also, please do abide by the 30mph speed limit. Almost 3000 speeding tickets have been handed out over the last 2 and a half weeks. The average speed cameras are fully functioning
  19. Correct call from the referee in heat 8 excluding Sundstrom but you don't see many referees call it that way Up to heat 11 - in terms of TV league racing, this is by far meeting of the season so far (Poland Sweden UK) Heat 13 - sensational Heat 14 - Oh my fookin good god, who said Hampel is a gating tart. There's some brave moves being thrown down in this meeting. Unbelievable Top draw stuff, if only racing can be like that week in week out
  20. Rolling, anticipating start are ok with me. As long as they don't touch the tapes under the green light, let it go. All adds to the entertainment
  21. You are correct but what we tend to find in the UK is that the fixture selection for TV meetings are horrendous. Wrong tracks, wrong away teams etc. TV matches should be a showcase but far too many times Elite League TV matches are laughing stocks yet when they pick Premier League meetings for TV they're the best meetings on the best tracks. I just don't get it
