  1. Fixed race nights are good to a point. That point is injuries to heatleaders. R/R or squads just won't cut it for me. As I've mentioned before, quite simply restrict the number of time EL teams can ride in a week i.e. 1 home, 1 away. That is as good as fixed race nights but better imo. Calendars can be planned much better for the top riders + those doubling up. The plan would then be the EL release their fixtures, then the PL works around their double up riders to minimise fixture clashes, then the NL release theirs. It's very simple but I know what some are going to say with their blinkers on, "why should the PL work around the EL?" It's simple, we have to make the Elite League the pinnacle of British Speedway and an aim that all British riders want to be at. It the produce at the very top is good, it then filters down to the lower leagues. It's all about working together. The Elite League is what sells the sport to future sponsors, future riders, future fans. We have to get it right, now. Buster is the ideal, but I just think the other promoters will as always shackle any improvements.
  2. Or he wants to say farewell to the fans face to face and show his appreciation of the support given?
  3. Moaning about nothing. Do we really need a list? Just convert all British PL riders averages, just use a bit of common sense and you can roughly work out who'll be in it
  4. BSPA Chairman's Stars XII 1. Iversen 2. Pedersen 3. Woffinden 4. Kildermand 5. Doyle 6. Lambert 7. Kerr
  5. It doesn't look like there's 2 tier groups for reserves. There's probably a batch of about 15-20 British rider's with converted PL averages and those that were in the tier 2 last season will likely all be on the standard minimum of a 3 average. It's now a free for all to sign whoever you want, they way it should be.
  6. Absolutely, after his first four meetings he could end up as Wolves no'1 on a 10 average
  7. Procedural things like "Matt Ford's always put the most money into the BSPA coffers so we'll let him have that one but nobody else". Buster Chapman is a dream appointment for British Speedway, unfortunately he's not going to be allowed to move the sport forward by other promoters. Chairman only really get overall call on split decisions, other than that it's pretty much "as we are".
  8. Absolutely terrific Australian SGP. Had a bit of everything. Holder's form is without doubt an effect of what's happened to his best mate and is struggling to come to terms with it. Think he's needing the winter (summer in his homeland) break.
  9. Can't see the draft system working now. Let's go hypothetical here. Kerr or Garrity obtain (absolutely possible) a 10 average from 4 meetings, could they then get replaced by Nicki Pedersen?
  10. I understand meetings are time limited but referees don't seem to stick to it. Isn't it 5mins from the end of a heat to the start of the next including the 2min clock? That's 1h15mins excluding intervals. Obviously crashes and 2 rides back to back interfere but surely it's not difficult to be in and around that time frame?
  11. 1. Doyle 9.44 2. Porsing 4.70 3. Lambert 6.59 4. Jonas Andersen 3.36 5. Iversen 8.98 6. Kerr 4.22 7. Rose 3.00 Ave 40.29
  12. Nobody can prove their fitness until they've thrown their leg over a bike. No matter how much gym work these guys do it'll be their mental state that counts. We can't judge that until tapes up. If the say they want to ride and Buster & Rob believe in them then why wouldn't contract talks already be done and dusted
  13. Lakeside won't be racing at Kent, Kent will be racing as Kent. Lakeside will be no more, that how I understand the situation
  14. He would be the idea person but unfortunately won't get the nod because he won't accept or tolerate the crap. BSPA only want a yes man in charge
  15. From this year's team we have to leave out Porsing and Bjerre.
  16. This season Poole have kept their noses super clean. Any issues during meetings have been down to inept refereeing, totally out of Poole's hands. Poole should be hugely congratulated by all this season and it should be the Pirates most sweetest title victory for many many years No ringers signed on stupid averages Same 1-7 all season A massive well done and fully deserved
  17. I'm sure 'GoggleGate' will go into overdrive but everyone has to remember that it isn't Poole's problem or fault. The meeting referee is the problem Congratulations to the Pirates but boy did those Aces make you sweat
  18. As they should. I have no problem with booing at all. Part of the game for me but the reaction to it hasn't been the same as when your fans do it. It's like a blind eye has been turned As to the meeting though, Nigel Pearson tonight has had been well and truly justified in using his wooooooooooow!!! It's been absolutely terrific.
  19. Can't believe how little criticism of the Aces fans there's been on here & Twitter The other way round and this thread would have added at least 10 pages
  20. See Coventry fans are still chewing wasps. Seriously!!!!!
  21. obviously not been on many of your own clubs threads much. Horton / Watson are always pedaling bullrubbish with Coventry's own fans on the attack against them all the time. I don't like Poole much like most because of their past but boy have Coventry fans gone waaaaaaaaay over the top over the Dakota situation. We've had you come out with some fantasist "investigation" over the North family which quite frankly, is embarrassing. Seriously, I just don't get why every thread has to end up bitter and twisted and occasionally quite nasty. It really is time to move on and look forward to 2016. Coventry fans, you really have bigger things to worry about. You could be homeless in the very near future and none of us want that. That should really be your main and probably only concern. Good luck with that and hope a huge part of British Speedway's history doesn't disappear.
