  1. Right call. Nearly all tracks have advertising on the fences today. Imagine if you're team was on a 5-1 and the rider at the back took off the advertising to cause all four back. Would that be fair??
  2. I believe the rules are that as long as you're 21 at the start of the season you can participate in U21 events
  3. So, there's moaning about a meeting only going to 12 heats yet a rider had a huge crash an no concern for him. Priorities all wrong here folks
  4. Absolutely. If only airfences were around in his early career at least 2 of his big bangs on turn 4 round the NA he'd of walked away from. Most certainly would have been in the Elite League by now but for injuries but that could be said sadly for a lot of up and coming riders. Injuries are the saddest part of our sport but also have to be expected. Best wishes for the future Darren
  5. Ward suspended then given a wildcard. That would mean his suspension has served no purpose. To get back in, Ward has to qualify.
  6. I certainly didn't see any bias from Pearson towards Hancock. Regardless of the crash this is also a competition to be World Champion and I believe Pearson was reflecting the impact it could have on it. No other commentator would have been any different. Certainly showed enough concern for Iversen IMO
  7. Last night's GP proved to me that if Darcy Ward was to be suspended for 2 years or missed out on the GP's for 2 years it would be no great shakes. There are plenty of great, exciting young riders coming through for the future and he'd be very easily forgotten.
  8. I think KingKennethSpeed is right about a lot of things, just very clever on how to get under people's skins which I find funny to be honest.
  9. Proof if ever it was needed that the rear tyre huggers are a waste of time. With the old rear guard, although the hand would have gone in it still would have been easier for Hancock to get his hand out. He had to be very forceful to remove his arm. Any chance on getting some answer on this???
  10. The 4 wildcards will be dependent on current injuries. Niels has Tweeted his season could be over so no doubt 1 of those spaces will be his if he was to slip out the top 8. Harsh if not
  11. As a King's Lynn Stars fan and I'd hope our promotion would feel the same too, I'd only want regional leagues providing we're in the Southern region with Peterborough, Ipswich and Rye House. Our biggest rivals during our previous Elite & Premier League history. If we were in with them, a massive thumbs up There will be a huge rider availability problem though as nearly all will want the Southern Region League also I have no doubt.
  12. I think the FIM are playing a game here. They may have Ward's legal team stating issues with the test. So what do they do? Suspend him until they investigate the legal claim which will run to the end of the season then clear him for the start of 2015. A classic game of chess
  13. A good news story that is very welcome. Fingers crossed
  14. I think you find technically it is. If Darcy had rode, a serious incident had occurred and he'd been found over the limit of the sports drug and alcohol regulations it then becomes a criminal offence that goes beyond the FIM. This alone is the reason the FIM should show zero tolerance.
  15. I'm sorry but surely the NL isn't taken seriously? It's a training programme. If Cradley, Mildenhall etc want serious stuff move up the leagues. The NL isn't here to win titles, it's here to develop youth end of. The rider's in this league have to put education / work as main priority.
  16. And anyone should be surprised by that? Speedway will be low on the viewers priorities too. Quite a lot of selfish and unjust moaning to be honest. Speedway's TV small fry. I'd love to know Swedish Elitserien viewing figures on British Eurosport, should imagine they haven't shown up with great numbers?
  17. Won't be King's Lynn as we'll not agree to the pointless meeting. It isn't mandatory, it's just Matt Ford thinking he's a big wig in world speedway
  18. Sorry, but I find it absolutely hilarious that Poole's parade has been well and truly shat on Matt Ford really bigged this up and now they look like a bunch of clowns I think it's absolutely terrific for British Speedway as it allows us all to point the finger and have a right good giggle at their expense.
  19. See Nicki Pedersen has retweeted that it's an outrage that Darcy Ward rode tonight. That's one GP rider making his feelings known.
  20. But he wouldn't be riding the next day so the issue is what?
  21. That will remain true until his FIM meeting tomorrow.
  22. Absolutely, right now Darcy doesn't have a resalable value.
