Rolling average explanation
Daniel Smith replied to szkocjasid's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Just go 'old skool' and do averages season by season. New average starts from 1st June & 1st of every month thereafter & include rider's bonus points in the averages, setting the team average at 42 plus 'Rising Star'. -
Rolling average explanation
Daniel Smith replied to szkocjasid's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Most fans would be of the opinion that if you're bottom 2 come June you wouldn't want the same rider's back again. A club like King's Lynn I'd almost guarantee they're paying by point so rider's won't chuck races. It's almost certain that rider's like Doyle, Bewley, Holder etc demand guarantees so are more likely to "help the team" for the following year. -
Rolling average explanation
Daniel Smith replied to szkocjasid's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
They've left themselves wide open for average manipulation, especially the top 2 teams who are likely to have already confirmed Play-Off qualification by the end of June. If most top rider's are paid per meeting rather than by points, then we could see someone like (for example) Doyle dropping to a 6 average pretty quickly. This season (as some are already saying) looks to be the most competitive for years, yet it could turn into a complete farce. -
Peterborough Panthers 2023

I'm going by Iversen, Holder, Tungate. No Tungate & Andersen in, would be horrific. Don't believe Andersen will deliver, even as a No6 -
Peterborough Panthers 2023
Daniel Smith replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If Peterborough get the rider's suggested the averages don't really matter as they'd have the quality throughout. Ipswich on the other hand would be dead, even with Sayfutdinov & Doyle as a top 2 -
He won't be in the team on 4.40. He'll be on his rolling average of 5.86. 4.40 is team building only.
-
Brennan will start the season in the top 5, confirmed
-
You're talking about the PZM though, that's a separate conversation to be had. If they have granted his licence on the proviso that he remains in Poland then that is the end of the conversation.
-
You're partly right. Emil can be granted a work permit, it can only be approved directly by the Prime Minister & / or Secretary of State for the Home Department & take up to 6 months.
-
Partly correct. Any Russian national that had global citizenship elsewhere pre-2022 are free to work anywhere in Europe. Any non UK citizenships taken up by Russians from 2022-on are suspended from UK employment but work permits can still be applied for. The process could take up to 6 months to approve, providing they have no historical links to working for the communist & / or current Russian government, this includes all family members.

Sayfutdinov around Peterborough would be an absolute pleasure to watch -
Emil is no longer a GP rider, didn't compete in European top leagues & doesn't have a British League established average in 2022. Thus, by the rules should qualify him for an average between 5.00-6.00. Obviously, all rules are at the discretion of the board so it's unlikely, but like Belle Vue, a lawyer can help the situation move along smoothly
-
Having gone through several seasons regulations, if Ipswich are genuine regarding Emil his average could be very interesting. At Coventry 2011 he never achieved an average & was assessed an 8.00. Previous rules have said that the previous season GP, Ekstraliga, Elitserien rider's are assessed 8.00. The interesting part is (& I'm sure Ipswich will be arguing) that rider's that have no British established average & have international league experience but didn’t compete the previous season should be assessed 5.00. Can you imagine the meltdown if Ipswich pull off Emil on a 5.00 average

World Cup - Wroclaw July 2023

Bit of a shock, but I'd probably take Harris providing his forms good for Leicester & Brennan as the U24 -
It seems many don't understand team makeup & averages when it comes to understanding a No1 & a genuine No1. Take King's Lynn also, Klindt is our No1 but he's not a genuine No1. There is no way any other team would take him over what they have. For me, King's Lynn & Wolverhampton are the only teams to have rider's that are not genuine No1's
-
Kurtz, C.Holder, Tungate are levels above Masters. 4th on the list isn't worthy when Doyle, Fricke & J.Holder are already GP rider's. Think about it this way, like (potentially) Ipswich has Doyle & Sayfutdinov, Belle Vue Bewley & Kurtz, Peterborough C.Holder & Pedersen, for example, where would Masters be if Lindgren & Woffinden were available to Wolves?? The answer would prove Masters ISN'T a genuine No1, even at Premiership level. Secondly, there wouldn't be many takers for Masters on his average at any other Premiership club
-
Anyone calling Masters a genuine No1 has clearly had to much drink over the holidays. A genuine No1 doesn't also ride Championship speedway, they'd be in the top leagues on the continent. Masters is boosted by his home track. Away averages including BP's in 22; Doyle 9.87 Musielak 8.42 Kurtz 8.19 Fricke 8.10 Masters 8.09 From that list only Doyle & Fricke can be considered genuine No1's. Fast forward to 23 & (predicted) incomers of C.Holder, Iversen, Pedersen, Sayfutdinov, Masters should slip down the order. His only saving grace will be his home track & no rider's within his own team to challenge the No1 jersey. Whereas, Belle Vue, Sheffield, Peterborough, Ipswich (with predicted incomings) have genuine challenges from within their own team to be the No1.

The downfall for you guys is Doyley's retirement. Don't think Fricke, C.Holder, J.Holder, Kurtz will cut it -

Interestingly, I don't think Poland look all that strong. Zmarzlik obviously can go through the card but even he jas tenancies to have a wobbly moment. Zmarzlik, Dudek, Janowski look an obvious 3 but the 4th spot looks weak & may be Miśkowiak will get the nod in more heats. Great Britain are the challengers but a huge reliance on Woffinden upping his game. -
Is the hold up potentially Emil only wanting until May. This seems to be the thing with many Exstraliga rider's not wanting or being allowed full UK seasons.

Only because he's foreign, not because he's better
