  1. Not true though is it. "Box Office" isn't just winning races, to me it's someone who puts it all on the line when the miss the start. Lindgren & Pedersen both fit that bill
  2. Allit was TM, Lyon was promoter at the time. Lyon relinquished his role with immediate effect after that meeting I believe. Allitt then had to take on the TM & Promoter role after his recovery, in the mean time we had guest managers if my memory serves me correctly
  3. Ipswich shouldn't count their chickens just yet. The British Government are still pushing that every 'world sports governing bodies' suspend Russian & Belarusian athletes from competing. Only those that have citizenship outside of these countries pre-2019 are expected to be exempt. I'm watching this situation pretty closely & for Speedway, Emil & both Laguta's will remain suspended as they claimed citizenships in 2021/2022. There are a lot of associations pushing back & threatening sanctions against UK athletes if the British Government persist.
  4. What an absolutely disgraceful post. Kasprzak is better than all these 'Wet Wipes'.
  5. Buster's right to drop this guy. This is exactly the type of guy you'd have had & would have put your club in the s#!t mid-season. Total 'Big Time Charlie'. What a be!!end
  6. Heats 13 & 15 will be decent?? Apart from coming up against Bewley these will pretty much be dead, unless they end up racing each other
  7. Obviously a hypothetical, but could it be possible that Tomlin have been shocked by how much rider's would cost him?? All these rumoured signings then not come to fruition can't just be down to Buster. Two sides to every story. Tomlin threw in the "Big I Am" tornado & left behind total devastation
  8. I just don't get the criticism of signing Worrall. Hans Andersen's signing is way more baffling considering the team will be 2 points under the average.
  9. and we're always constantly told that Lindgren wouldn't ride for anyone else
  10. Imagine the meltdown from Wolverhampton if Lindgren signed
  11. Yes he did. Wagstaff bought the club & changed us to "The Silver Machine" & eventually drove the club bust. Buster had to buy the Speedway rights back. Being a stadium owner doesn't automatically mean you own the Speedway club.
  12. Sorry Peterborough fans but you're all being bl00dy deluded. You're basically asking Buster to hand over the club for free just because Tomlin's willing to pay all the costs. That's not how business works. This isn't on Buster. If Tomlin wants full control of Peterborough Panthers for 2023 he has to BUY the club. Not a Buster fan at all but he's 100% right to make a stand here.
  13. There needs to be some context to this whole situation. While Tomlin wants to build his 'winning team' what is he wanting in return? Gate receipts? Other sponsor finances etc. I just can't see Tomlin wanting to outlay the signing on fees & wages for 3 of the 4 rider's from Iversen, Pedersen, Tungate, Holder without returns. Buster, who owns the club, is responsible for stadium rents & match day bills, i.e. electric, track, fuel, tyres etc. How does Buster recover his finances? 100%, the EoES bills & Tomlin's team cannot be covered by gate receipts alone. I just think we're at a situation of stalemate between the 2 parties, in the fact that Buster (rightly so) is not willing to take losses. It's at the point that Tomlin will have to buy the club for what Buster wants or put together a weakened team so 1 or both don't end up with significant losses. If Tomlin doesn't buy now, Buster knows he's getting no return from Peterborough Panthers come the end of the 2023 season. An 'absolute' total loss from his initial takeover. So for the 2023 season Buster will want some return himself. Again, (rightly so) Buster has every right to be sure that the team & stadium costs are covered without significant loss.
  14. That's not right though is it. Buster has always & will be in charge until it's sold. Tomlin has clearly got a little bit of an ego & got ahead of himself. Can't blame Buster for this one
  15. It's not "This" though is it. And you did put a laughing smiley Flappy lad Alcoholism is a problem, so is depression (which I have), cancer, racism etc. Like Ricky Gervais says "what is life if you can't take the p!ss out of everything". All Comedians should be cancelled. If someone has a problem with jokes, it them that needs to take a look at themselves, not the person telling the jokes. If your alcoholic & find my joke offensive, get help. Alcoholics Anonymous 0800 9177 650 Never let anyone tell you what you find funny is wrong. Life is for living & having a laugh, tomorrow could just be your last.
  16. Is the pub still open at the stadium entrance? Could be a deal breaker
  17. Depends. The fans have a huge decision to make. Currently, the value is low due to no home from 2024. If planning is granted then "Peterborough Panthers" has future value hence why Buster will refuse peanuts. On the flip side, Tomlin could set up a totally new club, say, 'Panthers of Peterborough City' & there'd be absolutely nothing Buster could do as 'Peterborough Panthers' would be defunct & it's only the 'in name' rights he holds. It's all about whether the fans would be 100% accepting of being the 'blue, pink & green machine' over the 'red & black attack' if you kbow what I mean.
  18. The grandstand would not pass current stadia regulations but it doesn’t mean 60% couldn't be reused / recycled in to a reconfigured grandstand.
  19. How can you accuse someone of having no clue, then suggest Louis is waiting on the 'Emil situation'. You too have no clue as nobody at Ipswich has even suggested they're chasing the signature of Emil Sayfutdinov. You're also guessing & working with hearsay. Don't be such a little baby over other people's opinions
  20. Are you nuts, we've been constantly told all winter Tomlin is picking the rider's & Buster is just licence holder. Now the predicted team has seriously deteriorated Tomlin becomes exonerated That team is firmly on Tomlin
  21. How could it get so awful. Tomlin is such a winner
  22. Yes & no. The old equipment gets handed down to the youngsters coming through that can't afford new. Swings & roundabouts
  23. It's not a numbers game on the Rising Star list. Everyone who can ride these bikes has talent. The issue is whether they have the work ethic or do they just want things to fall in their laps without effort? Has he believed his own hype & gained a stinker of an ego? Got to say that I haven't seen this "talent" people talk about. He certainly isn't up there with Woffinden, Lambert, Bewley at a young age.
