It's actually a difficult choice after Swindon finishing top with the current line up's. Below is a current line-up list and I've added a second list of predicted finishing positions after potential changes for injuries / sackings are considered. 1. Swindon 2. Wolves 3. Sheffield, King's Lynn, Belle Vue 4. Sheffield, King's Lynn, Belle Vue 5. Sheffield, King's Lynn, Belle Vue 6. Peterborough, Ipswich 7. Peterborough, Ipswich ___________________________________ 1. Swindon (always manage to find someone) 2. Wolves (like Swindon, 8/10 times find replacements) 3. Belle Vue (as above) 4. Ipswich (Louis will not allow Ipswich to finish bottom) 5. Sheffield (after the layout for Pedersen and Holder, any replacements will be bargain basement) 6. King's Lynn (Buster holds the purse strings, the excuses of nothing other than poor, low budget options will be available at the time) 7. Peterborough (see King's Lynn)

King's Lynn Stars 2020
Daniel Smith replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Stars will need Lambert to average 9+ and Cook 8+ to even stand a chance for top 4. I disagree about the weakest team so far though, with completed teams I'd say Belle Vue are. Kildermand won't offer them anything and Kurtz as a No1? No thanks Most certainly underwhelming apart from Lambert and Cook -

Correct, only due to an assessed average. Was on a regular basis beaten by opposition reserves. Just see Hartel as another Kasper Andersen I'm afraid. -

With what rider's that are yet unsigned (as far as we know) King's Lynn's choice is to go with a crap Ipswich Championship reserve in Hartel Even Simon Lambert would have been a better choice. -

It's the way Buster likes to run things, crap in' it? Reminds me of the way the Glazers run Man Utd. Run by the commercial sponsors for the commercial sponsors. Fans, who are they? -

But the rules don't say that. That's just interpretation again -

It is correct otherwise, by what you're interpreting it as, a rider can not sign for a Premiership club for the first week of the season then come in on his Championship average. As an example: Brian Bongo finished the previous Prem season on a 12.00 average. He also finished the Championship season on a 5.00 average. Misses the first week of the Premiership the following season so would come in on his Championship converted average? -

You are correct. It was his Championship average he came in on. Strangely though, the 2019 regulations didn't allow for that to be the case as he'd not missed the Premiership for more than 1 season. Rules had been wrongly interpreted as not having a current 2019 Premiership average for which he did. As the averages are rolling the final averages of 2018 would be the averages of 2019 so Cook had a current 2019 Premiership average and should have had that average. The fact that his Premiership average would have taken King's Lynn over the poinys limit would suggest someone may have helped themselves to an MC approval -

Cook came in his existing Premier average -

Can’t do that. Covatti would come in on what ever average is the highest between his current Premier or Championship converted average. -
Nonsense. Bewley needs to crack on or he'll become another 'what he could have been' rider. The example to look up to are the Pole's and Bewley and Robert Lambert are miles behind in comparison.

So it ain't Härtel then which is a bonus as he was awful for Ipswich at Championship level -
Anyone know if Scott has moved back to Suffolk after separating from Sofie?

Surely Stocks income would far out way that of the use of the 4G pitch. Is the 4G serving any purpose apart from looking nice currently? It would be daft if the Belle Vue owners are excluding stock car on the basis of an extremely expensive, unused plastic pitch. That's madness.

Kirkmanshulme Lane Stadium to be demolished
Daniel Smith replied to Garry1603's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Rightly so, although horses are treated much much better and much tightly regulated than Greyhound Racing. -
Troll Is that because it's not to your liking & kiss assing to the return of Speedway? We have to realists sometimes and attaching hope to Greyhound Racing is a massive mistake.

Think it can only be helped with Buster slipping into the background. If he continues to interfere with the track though, Dale will be on a collision course and out the club, just like Rob Lyon. -
You need to do some research as to why PETA have dogs destroyed, and other animals in fact. Unlike Greyhound racing, it's not for the fun & profit of it. Yes, mistakes can be make but that happens with everything everywhere. I know the Greyhound Trust very well as the father in law has greyhounds from the Dudley branch only. You should take notice of the numbers that come in to these places and the numbers that don't make it to rehoming. With the resources they have the Greyhound Trust do an absolutely terrific job. Outstanding in fact. 100%, the Greyhound Trust mostly do not like the Greyhound kennel owners and the hound owners. They know that they only receive some of the best retired dogs to rehabilitate and rehome. You really need to give your head a wobble, you want Oxford back. So too would all of us but please do not think Greyhound Racing is the only avenue. Go down that avenue and you'll end up with a seriously bad car crash situation. I'd seriously think about what Budimir's agenda is. If you believe it's Greyhounds and Speedway you've been badly suckered in as it ain't going to be successful. Sorry
-
So you use a story from the US to try & give credence to the greyhound fraternity? That has no relevance to PETA in the UK You on losing ground backing greyhounds.
-
Then I'd say the idea os a dead rubber then, greyhounds is a more extinct sport than Speedway. Great shame the project is doomed for failure before it's even got going. Maybe Budimir is planning exactly that so the grounds become impossible to prove that sport has any chance of survival and apply for planning on the whole ground for many more £m's than the redevelopment of the stadium. A free hit for Budimir
-
Is that taking a snippet for a swipe at her? She does say "........ and other sports". So no miss conception on her part. As a Speedway fan, Oxford would be a great addition to the sport but as much as there is hope it won't happen when all is reliant on greyhounds. It just won't get the backing, even if it did reopen, it'll be shut down again within a year. The PETA spokesperson is absolutely correct, for the stadium to reopen, be sustainable and survive longevity it has to be for only, as she put it, "willing, human participants". I feel for Rob Pleasley as he tried to defend the greyhounds but I think he's a little blinkered. The Oxford Mail have ripped him a new hole with the greyhound statistics:- "Official figures released earlier this year by the Greyhound Board of Great Britain revealed that almost 1,000 racing greyhounds died or were killed in 2018. Hundreds of dogs were euthanised in 2018 for reasons including the high cost of medical treatment and the absence of a ‘viable option away from the racecourse’. There has also been a steady decline in the number of greyhound tracks, with Wimbledon and the flagship course, Towcester, among those that closed as attendance reached historic lows". Rob, if I was you, I'd speak with Budimir and try and get plans done for the inclusion of Stocks, Hot Rods & Bangers on an all shale surface and rip out the dogs. You're unfortunately on a losing campaign if the continuation is Greyhounds is the only option.

Where's the evidence Cardiff is a money spinner? It's only what perceived by what you see and hear. I'd almost guarantee the financial figures would actually tell you a different story. Cardiff is/was BSI's big annual sales & marketing event. What BSI/IMG has done for the GP's is not in question. The question is the value to the Discovery group to continue with a BSI/IMG marketing project. Discovery may find their huge marketing project belongs at an indoor stadium in the USA. Unless proven with finacial profit figures year on year, Cardiff is a 'MYTH' as the BSI money spinner.

But with an initiative like this, I've no doubt the figure will increase by quite a few. -
You're right, and by no means impressed so far either, with 2 rider's announced that should have been nowhere near being the 7. It's been made clear after the supporters meeting last night as to why Jorgensen been recalled. With Dale becoming part of Jorgensen's 'team' it makes his selection a little to friendly for my liking, not for the benefit of King's Lynn
