Yet you dropped down so you could race on Wednesdays You do wonder if some mystery regulation will now pop up from nowhere to scupper Glasgow's team plans.....!

Not at all, Buster has done it for years and it's embarrassing and cringeworthy when he does. Bottom line is that riders come and go as self employed sportsmen, you win some and lose some. The reaction from Dorset has surprised me to be honest, lacks class. You are allowed to criticise your own promotion by the way, its ok

If our friend Lord Ford has been screwed over then bloody good job, he's done it enough to others in the past. FWIW the press release sounds like a toys-out-of-the-pram load of cobblers to appease the regulars, although I expect we'll never know the truth.

Plenty good enough

2006 I reckon, was there in my days of following Lynn all over the place.

Textbook Shovlar bait mate, don't nibble!

Of course it's quite possible the Beeb have got it completely wrong.

Amen to that.

Radio Norfolk reporting this morning that @AlexBrady spoke to 200 riders about being in the 2022 side! Hope he's got plenty of free minutes on his mobile

2022 PREMIERSHIP Predict the finishing order
Bagpuss replied to BartoszZmarzlikFan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Based on the strongly rumoured riders completing Wolves and BV I would go for Sheffield Peterborough Belle Vue Ipswich Wolves Lynn However apart from Sheffield who clearly look the strongest I think the others are very close on paper and could finish in any order really. -
I think there has been plenty of thought put into this team, they've built it to always have a strong reserve, they went out and signed the best visiting rider from last season and they've brought a rider back to the UK who has been absent for a few seasons. And in those two they have signed two all action riders to increase the liklihood of good racing. There is obviously once again a strict budget but certainly no lack of thought, the question as always is will the riders be good enough. On paper we probably look 6th best but much closer to the other teams than last year when we started with massive risks in Bridger, Proctor and Kinsley. No reason if things click that we can't get into the Play Offs and from there who knows?
-
Agree but let's hope the track allows them to.
-
Yep I think he quietly went about his business at Brum last year and did quite well, plus had an excellent guest appearance at P'boro versus Ipswich where he scored eight including two heat wins https://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/20451/ipswich-premiership-06-09-2021 Probably the weakest on paper but has some potential and a much better prospect than Ryan with all due respect to him.
-
I don't expect there was any 'letting' about it.
-
Definitely the team to beat (but I thought that last year)
-
Three or four obvious riders in there who have done and can do much better than their averages suggest, the big question is will they.
-
So expecting Pickering Worrall Jorgensen Lawson Kildemand Kerr Thomas Would mean we have the strongest reserve in the league but on paper at least the weakest 1 and 7 with a pretty solid middle order. Lots depends on how much PK can stick on his average in what is now a much weaker league. Looks a much better and more competitive team than last year but still probably the 6th strongest on paper, albeit much closer to others than 2021.
-
Not a lot of improvement in the top five but there could be plenty from the reserves who are both excellent prospects. No reason why they won't be up there though if Ulrich's back is ok.
-
So it's Doyle Heeps Batchelor Riss King Starke Rowe Not too bad at all but you can't help feeling or could have been better. Budget stretched to the limit you'd imagine.
-
He's off to the darker and dingier corner of East Anglia.
-
Good team.
-
My assumption was that Batch being pinched from Belle Vue means no Riss.
-
That would be an excellent side.
