  1. With more NDL teams next year and Lynn having a few assets riding elsewhere I wonder if the Young Stars might make a return for 2022?
  2. How can you possibly say that without seeing the other teams? I'd say there is all sorts of room for improvement in that team.
  3. Yep huge congratulations to all at Oxford for achieving something which must have seemed a million miles away not that long ago. Particularly pleased for @Matt Davis who will be able to take his kids there as he went as a lad, dream coming true stuff for him and his family
  4. If you are trying to say he's unhappy at BV under an Aussie then cut out the usual snideness and just come out and say it! Personally I think its a mental thing, he has been a top rider in the Champs for years but seems like he'll be never make the breakthrough in our top league, same with Ritchie.
  5. Nobody can confirm it's true although you wouldn't be surprised if it was. As has been stated Wolves don't want a six team league for a start, a lack of variety in opposition for the rest will hit them hard eventually.
  6. Did they go down as a result of moving to the Championship? If not thats effectively an increase £20 at Lynn nowadays, they won't see me too often now that threshold has been broken I'm afraid.
  7. I dont think the Premiership is 'far better', I never said I did. What I did say is that apart from the number of teams ie the lack of variety in the 'top' league there is very little difference because the riders are essentially the same, and both leagues have good tracks and crap ones. Both leagues are overpriced, that's why I very rarely go any more. I expect the Premiership is a bit more expensive as the riders get paid a bit more. Its been suggested on another thread that the Prem will remain at six clubs because they don't want to share the TV money with anyone else and that's very disappointing.
  8. Not a bad thing, probably needs a fresh environment in the Prem to get himself going again. Was a big disappointment last season but works welcome him back in the future if he can regain his form.
  9. Absolutely but as a neutral I can't remember anything better than this years Premiership final, the racing in both legs but particularly the BV leg was incredible. They are the two best racetracks in the country IMO, the only thing that leage lacks is variety. It needs eight teams minimum.
  10. I could but that has absolutely nothing to do with my point as I've already said that both keagues use virtually the same riders
  11. It's really not though is it, better because more teams but the riders are virtually the same and I'd be surprised if the Champ final was as good as the Prem one which was superb. There are too many people like you unfortunately who like one league and slag off the others when we need them all to be strong for speedway speedway to thrive, and the top league really needs a couple more teams.
  12. Yep I get and respect that but there also comes a point where you have to step out of your comfort zone and push yourself to see how good you can be.
  13. So is the 'three league' thing no more, are we going to see one big division or has Bickley ruled himself out of a Premiership spot? Find it a bit odd he's signed up for another season in the NDL.
  14. Looks smoother than Wimborne Road.
  15. One assumes he will base himself in Poland now in which case there are umpteen reasons to race in Sweden and not the UK. Its a shame but more a reflection of the state of things over here than anything else, and it will continue to happen unless the BSPL seriously pulls its socks up.
  16. I believe you can still buy the stream on EMTV if you're within the radius by contacting the promotion directly and explaining your circumstances.
  17. All clubs need to be doing it really although I like the way Edinburgh organise theirs, you have to live outside a certain radius to be able to purchase their stream so as not to put off local regulars from going. Lynn are slightly different too in that bar and food outlet sales are a big part of the income so I'd imagine anything that might compromise that would have to be carefully considered. It might also put off away supporters but in general its a good thing and could save the sport if done properly.
  18. Do you think he would have done that if he didn't have a British wife and live over here?
  19. Glasgow need to hit Poole really hard in the first leg to have a chance but I just cant see it with the Pirate's heat leaders and star reserve.
  20. Makes quite a difference if you've got the resources to go with a heavyweight top three and bring a top young talent like Basso over. Poole will do the double this week at a canter unless they encounter some very bad luck.
