Quite, he may well be top of the averages in both leagues but nobody knows after nine years away from European racing.
-
Didn’t realise Aussies come into the PL on a 4 either, I thought it was 5?
-
You are going to need well over 100 riders for one big league, can’t see that happening by next year personally. Also people talking about Plymouth having a stronger top two than PL teams might want to wait and see what Crump is like after many years retired, the CL might be his level now.
-
Gordon Bennett! I wish them all the luck and appreciate the interest Crump is going to generate but that’s an extremely lopsided team
-
I can because the whole thing has got way out of hand, however for 2021 there would be nowhere near enough riders to fill eighteen teams without most of the riders who are able to race here doing so in both leagues. So until the world sorts itself out again and Poland relaxes its rules and regs (which may not happen anyway) it’s here to stay.
-
LOL I’m pretty sure the amounts they are on over there will completely dwarf anything earned by riders over here.
-
Absolutely, rightly or wrongly it’s the consequence of spreading resources across two clubs rather than one.
-
You’ll have to explain the bit about Woffinden and Lambert as I really don’t see how Crump signing for Plymouth affects them.....
-
That’s is going to be a looooong tail.
-
So other potential top twos; Kurtz & Wright/Bewley Crump & Klindt Masters & Schlein Batchelor & Holder Harris & Pedersen Would have been happy with Cook and Riss, hope we can replace Erik with somebody who can compete in heats 13 & 15.
-
The theory is that Lynn wanted Bjarne but he preferred to go to P’boro so Buster might do a ‘swap’ with the two. As for uproar that lot moan and groan all the time anyway so would anyone even notice
-
The advantage it has is its big capacity, maybe I’m being nostalgic but having big meetings back there would be pretty awesome.
-
Assuming Proctor, Jorgensen and Kerr return to join Bridger and Cook how many points does that leave for the other member of the top six?
-
The words AS PART OF THE SCHEME were the giveaway
-
Don’t disagree with that but we need to start somewhere.
-
It must be down to 2019 averages in the CL.
-
That’s fair enough and I’d have extended the scheme so that riders like him, Shanes, Mountain and Bates could ride at six with an U21 at seven.
-
I accept there is an argument that there are riders in the list who would struggle in the Premiership but personally I would rather the spots were for under 21’s who might find it tough initially but could improve quickly if given the chance. We pretty much know that the older riders on the list won’t reach international standard but we don’t know that of the younger ones and this idea might push them on along with experience abroad. The Poles employ two juniors at the bottom end of their teams and while some sink many swim and become good enough to mix it with the best, we need to be doing the same because what we have been doing for many years hasn’t worked.
-
Teams would be daft to not snap up the grade 4’s but I really hope Lynn plump for somebody much younger and less experienced at number seven. It’s pretty gutting that Shanes, Bates, Bacon et al are even on the list as I really thought British Speedway had made a proper good decision for once. A real let down.
-
Riders in there who really shouldn’t be as they’ve been knocking around for years, plus some missing who should be and some questionable gradings. The idea was good but it looks to be a bit of a dog’s breakfast unfortunately.
-
Where is this list mate?
-
Bacon and Bates? IMO the scheme should be concentrating on our U21 riders, with all due respect to those two they are never going to be anywhere near international standard.
-
I’d quit while you’re behind if I were you, flagrag actually knows what he/she is talking about.
-
Do we know who the other four are to go with Kemp and Brennan?
-
Not a lot between them at the moment from what I’ve seen and of course Rowe appears not to be a rising star pick. It’s a reserve pairing at Ippo which is going to be the envy of many.
