  1. Scoring 36 at the top of the table team on a track we rarely do well at with our number one not scoring is a pretty good effort really. Pleasing that the team didn't give up and fought to the end, all you can ask really.
  2. Excellent meeting once again from the NSS, what a track that is. Love it. And of course better when slicker!
  3. Even though there has been a marked improvement since Brady, Barker and Andersen have come in I very much doubt it.
  4. Morris back for Wolves and both teams at full strength. Anyone fussed?
  5. Some pretty horrible comments on here, maybe rather than castigating a young rider for wanting to look as professional and well turned out as he can folk should save their ire for the thieves. I had a non sign written van broken into at a hotel in Daventry a few years ago, it happens unfortunately. Fingers crossed his stuff is recovered.
  6. Definitely too strong, I know our top league is weaker than it's ever been but you've got riders in the Championship who definitely shouldn't be and must be earning big money which is reflected in the admission price which is too high in both leagues. British speedway needs a serious restructure or it will eventually disappear up it's own rear end, we need either two distinct divisions or one big one and a proper thriving third tier for training youngsters. The problem is most riders in British speedway are now accustomed to doubling up and the riches that it provides and would be resistant to change I suspect. Needs somebody stronger than Mr Godfrey to sort the whole mess out.
  7. If the rumoured Polush U24 league gets off the ground next year I'd have thought it would be better for Brennan's career to spend his weekends racing in that.
  8. This Glasgow team has had the guts ripped out of it with Oystercard crashing out for the season and Cook being nowhere near his usual standard for whatever reason. Add to that no new Pole or Sedgmen and they look a very ordinary team which is a great shame as they would have been in the thick of the Play Offs. Ulrich arguably the signing of the season before his smash. Can't see it being anything other than a two horse race for the title really but you never know.
  9. My usual moan, tac subs for the home team are a farce.
  10. At the time I thought Rory was having a whinge about how Kurtz came under him entering lap two but perhaps not having looked again.
  11. One assumes somebody somewhere took the Mickey at some point with a rider being 'ill' and the rule was brought in to stop it happening thereafter.
  12. Didn't watch this evening but went to the NSS earlier in the day and thoroughly enjoyed it even though there was only really one team in the contest. Some terrific racing in front of what I'd describe as a fairly modest crowd, thought the two stands would be packed out. Easy to pick out the standout performers from the score chart but I was really impressed with the two rising stars, they looked like they belonged there today and both got properly stuck in. A big tick for the scheme. If I was Belle Vue I'd be sitting Worrall down and asking why he has scored so well for Poole this year but served that load of pony up today. He was awful at BV and I see he faired even worse tonight. Not good enough.
  13. Is it possible to purchase tickets for the back straight terrace from the hut round that side of the stadium on the day as it has been before at the NSS?
  14. You'd like to think Lawson will have enjoyed this season at Lynn and would want to return unless you think he'd be offered more elsewhere? Not fussed about Cook at all, at the time it seemed an awful decision to let him go but the decision has been almost entirely vindicated and it was one of the few correct decisions they've made this year. Wouldn't necessarily mind Kerr staying but he should be scoring more IMO particularly at home.
  15. I think I'd persevere with Mountain but could take or leave the other three, Riss has been a big disappointment in particular.
  16. It's a discussion forum and she was discussing the meeting, don't be an arse
  17. Load of tripe. The series needs an overhaul for next year or I can see many folk getting bored and giving up on it unfortunately. New ideas and venues required!
  18. I think Bewley should ride whatever happens, he's a Belle Vue rider and has ridden the track lots this year, plus has had s good season in Poland and the SEC. I think Woffinden rides if he chooses to, he may decide to let the young uns take the responsibilty. I think Woffy and Bewley would be the strongest line up but Lambert could ride with either and we could still win it. As for Stead you can think those things but is it professional to say it on live telly?
  19. Indeed, but on paper they look your closest challengers. Redcar haven't looked strong enough to me at any point this season. Edinburgh far too top heavy and Glasgow have had their top end strength ripped apart losing their top two. As ever with Play Offs form can be different then as they are a couple of months away but a Pirates v Lions final looks most likely right now.
