  1. Another good away result, just a pity that the Dorset hell hole is the one track we can't seem to ride. And should we get to the Play Offs we'll almost certainly have to go there. Proctor and Jorgensen need to up their game on the road, although I appreciate that they were both carrying injuries.
  2. The two engine rooms proving to be the difference this evening.
  3. I like Garrity, yes he falls off too often but he's not frightened to get stuck in and is exciting to watch. However Riss is a better option right now and makes us stronger.
  4. Good signing, especially as it puts MPT at reserve. I'm just wondering how a team with the second best away record in the league can be described as poor. Must just be me.
  5. The way I see it, nobody is forced to donate.
  6. You'd like to think that Proctor, Jorgensen and Garrity can score a few between them, they are all racers who should be at home at the best racetrack in the country. Would take a point but no reason why we can't win if enough riders turn up, and that's no slight on Belle Vue who are a good side. You coming down Wednesday Phil?
  7. I agree. Why didn't he pick Grajczonek, Klindt, Jakobsen and Woryna too? Rosco out.
  8. I would imagine it's a pretty grudge from when Lambert rode for Peterborough and cheesed a few pussycat supporters off. Long since water under the bridge.
  9. Agree with the above thoughts, never nice to lose but it's a starting point. None of the Aussies apart from Proctor double up over here but instead ride in Sweden and Poland regularly, maybe therein lies the difference in class. Worrall is coming back from a broken leg and Ellis & Bewley have time on their side so it's not all doom and gloom.
  10. Can relate to this, we had the same thing in our PL days especially 2003-07 when teams couldn't get round our track smoothly because of the grip and when they did make the gate (grippy starts) they would invariably make mistakes and get picked off. Some very good sides were made to look ordinary (75-15 . against eventual champions Sheffield in 2007). Bike set up was very specific too meaning we were often way in front after half a dozen heats. Eventually it turned into a mental issue for away teams, they were beaten upon driving into the stadium, Carl Stonehewer was the most high profile rider who appeared to not want to know. And of course got a bit boring for the regular punters.
  11. I was waiting for somebody to come out with that.....different situation as it was agreed between he and Rosco that he is rested, whereas Tungate wants to ride, Lemon wants him to ride but he is being told to attend practice by the bully boys in Poland. For the record, I've always said that Lambert should be there really but that I understand why he won't be. It's a situation which has had common sense applied to it unlike Tungate's. Any meeting where countries are being represented should take priority over practice.
  12. But at least they tried something different. If things fail then fair enough but at least have a go.
  13. Who said anything about a bottomless pit? Come on fb, you are one of the decent Poole fans on here, don't start making stuff up and not reading posts properly like some of the others.
  14. They are the only team with the resources to keep changing riders when it's not working too. Like Man City I have no problem with that, you get rich and poor clubs in every sport but they really should be winning in every year. Massive shock (or choke) if they don't win it this year with the seven currently declared.
  15. Absolutely and credit to him, there will obviously be a few little set up secrets as a home rider and having such a straightforward meeting last week will have helped him settle in. Armadale has traditionally been a difficult place for away riders to score points though, that can't be denied. Especially when the home team are riding well.
  16. Very difficult to go there and score points on a one off visit when home riders are so dialled in even if he used to ride there, one could argue that his score proves how tricky a circuit Armadale is. Even Cook has posted modest scores there in the past as a visitor. Just like Poole in the top division Edinburgh look to be revitalised by a couple of changes and seem to be the team to beat now.
  17. Surely representing your country in an actual meeting is more important than practice?
  18. Any meeting should trump a practice session IMO, particularly an international one.
  19. No blinkers here, you are the one disrespectfully brushing off an experienced international rider's opinion as sour grapes when most would say he is not that kind of character. And I'm sure Poole's riders will say exactly what they are told to in a press conference You are right, I wasn't there, I wouldn't put money into your promoter's pocket if his track was the last one on earth.
  20. Absolute p!ss take. The FIM should step in. Can you imagine a UK club demanding that a Polish rider practices over here rather than represent their country? Ridiculous.
