  1. You are either on a wind up or being extremely obtuse. Niels has ridden in the UK for fifteen plus years and will have ridden Poole dozens of times, his views on the state of tracks in general not just WR should be listened to and not fobbed off as sour grapes which is nonsense. And he wasn't backtracking at all, just clarifying his comments. Unfortunately you are the same as many Poole fans in that you only care what happens at your track and to hell with the sport in the rest of the country, as long as you are winning all is good. And if anyone says anything critical it is swept under the carpet as meaningless and sour graoes. Fortunately those of us without our heads in the sand can see the bigger picture.
  2. It's staggering that people think riders shouldn't have opinions like his, and if they do its automatically sour grapes / being a sore loser. His point was why as a rider should he have to go to all the time and expense to not spill oil when club officials can seemingly chuck as much around as they like.
  3. Monmore. Wolves away and Poole at home are the two trickiest fixtures in terms of expected points IMO.
  4. I reckon we can double our money with another 25 points.....got to be looking to win all of our home matches, win big twice at Leicester and then pick a point up at the two best race tracks in the league which should suit our dodgy gating.
  5. He's got to come through Edinburgh away in one piece yet.
  6. He has just dropped a place in the averages too meaning he will be even less adequately covered.
  7. Alternatively basing it on on our away record across the whole season to date we have a good chance of getting something. We have a team of racers so the NSS should suit us.
  8. Why not have a proper grown up discussion instead of being a tool about it?
  9. Does this happenat other tracks? Hilarious how so many people spectacularly missed Robert Lambert's point on Twitter. Not sure if it was lack of brain cells or an inability to read properly.
  10. So after last night's debacle it's on to the much more pleasant surroundings of the NSS and a track which should assist the Stars awful gating a lot more. Rumour has it that Garrity and Andersen should be returning next week and one hopes that the engine room of Proctor and Jorgensen will be fit enough to take their places. With the return fixture two days after I think four points is the minimum requirement to stay in with a shout of a top four finish.
  11. Love them or hate them Poole are setting the benchmark at the moment and last night we fell an alarmingly long way short. Even with the first choice reserves back next week this team looks a signing or two short of the required standard due to the patchy form of key riders. One doubts whether the resources and will to change things is there unfortunately. As for the comments of Lambert and Puk, both are entitled to their say and neither we're anything to do with sour grapes or sore losing but it's another example of how most people on Twitter are thick and don't actually read and understand what is written but just pile in with stupid comments. Robert's comments weren't even about the quality of the racing surface. Anyway time to regroup for two tough matches against the Aces next week.
  12. I think Blobby is probably green with envy that Glasgow are hosting this and thought he'd stir the pot a bit.
  13. None of the Aussie team ride CL and nor does Woffy so can't agree with that. Looks like two evenly matched sides to me, should be good.
  14. Word on the street is that Kasper Andersen will be back for Lynn next Monday.
  15. Fair enough, neither great but I'm sure I can remember Drodz winning races at Rye House and Wolves and showing a bit of promise on unfamiliar tracks as well as suffering a few falls. This 'scapegoat' talk is just silly, the Aces are obviously just trying to strengthen up a bit away from home and unfortunately tough choices have to be made.
  16. Not just Lynn fans though is it? So don't make it about clubs and allegiances. It's more about common sense and seeing the bigger picture, and considering and discussing the circumstances rather than just seeing things in black and white. The lad has been riding four or more times a week almost all season, more experienced riders than he have suffered burn out at this stage of the year and some have even opted out of the SWC to prevent it happening. I expect this was his only window to have a short battery recharge hence why a holiday was booked probably weeks and weeks ago. As I have said all along it is disappointing and less than ideal that he won't be there but understandable. And the positive is that somebody else gets an opportunity to show what they can do.
  17. Drodz has more potential than Etheridge and has shown more promise away from home, would be daft to get shot of him. Riss will be better away from home than Etheridge and that is where Belle Vue need to improve to finish top four.
  18. Sarjeant no thanks, and with all due respect to Stefan if we had he and Garrity at reserve you'd be wondering who is going to get injured first, they both seem to suffer more than their fair share.
  19. What's Etheridge's away average? Very modest I'd imagine. Probably harsh but I agree that Riss will make the Aces slightly stronger and when it comes to getting into Play Offs and trying to win league titles tough calls have to be made.
  20. At least you have a motorway going past your track though rather than the A17 and country lanes
  21. I think it says it all that only one person is being negative about it. It's all about the context IMO, Robert has probably ridden in more meetings than anyone else in world speedway this year with four leagues, GP qualifying, world U21 rounds, Euro Champs and individual meetings including Cardiff. If this test match had been in the calendar from day one he'd have ridden but for the sake of the rest of his season he obviously needs the break. Things aren't always black and white.
  22. Porsing had an awful lot more meetings to show that he wasn't going to get any better than Andersen has, Kasper has missed many matches this year through injury and riding in Denmark.
