  1. Indeed he did, got it momentarily stuck under his footrest at the end of one of his races and looked in a bit of pain hobbling back into the pits. Although he did win heat 12 after that.
  2. Quite agree, we may not have done but we would have been far more prepared and dialled in.
  3. I predicted 49-41 home win on the Pride Of The East podcast so I'm sticking with that, we traditionally go well at the NSS but BV are a fine side and should win the meeting fairly comfortably.
  4. I guess the simple answer is that Vissing has probably peaked and Flint probably hasn't. And that a change of club might see his career move on to the next level. We shall see.
  5. Yep I've mentioned it on here in the past, the scope is there to take the white line in as far as you like.....but I expect the cost would be the issue.
  6. Nope Although I didn't see last night coming at all. As you say, very early days.
  7. Just catching up with the thread, what did happen please?
  8. I'd say for a lot of the time some folk have been saying it's too grippy and needs less material. I think that's the trouble with the dark, clay based shale, prep needs to be spot on for decent speedway. Not a lot of leeway either side.
  9. Bit of both really, largely processional but there were three last bend passes and an excellent pass by Kurtz in the latter stages of heat 11. Track needs a little bit more dirt on it for Monday week.
  10. The sides generally tipped to finish top three because of their heat leaders winning away from home on one night probably shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, think it's going to be a scrap for 4th between the others.
  11. Well with my eyes from the first bend it was, every rider was inconsistent from the gate and with the lines they were riding, and unfortunately we didn't really have anything to stand up to the BV top two. But Museilak will be better than that as will Wojdylo once properly dialled in. BV looked far sharper and deserved their win.
  12. Well done Aces. As feared man and machine looked rusty and devoid of rhythm on the Lynn side of the pits, need to win more races next home match....against Sheffield
  13. Because it was awful for years Glad to hear it's been much better the last couple of seasons. Hole free tracks are the future
  14. He's attached in the Premiership though which I'd have thought makes him eligible.
  15. My main concern is rustiness on Lynn's part, although most of the riders have been in action here and there. BV are a decent side and I'd rather have faced Brum or Leicester in the first home match but it is what it is. 46-44
  16. That's simply not true, it's been pointed out umpteen times on here that if it's too grippy (eg after rain) then it can be follow the leader stuff.
  17. That's a bloody good effort with no senior reserve and a below par Worrall.
  18. N I guess wiating until this morning might have been a good idea in hindsight but there is a yellow weather warning associated with a named storm and the track is right on the coast with very little shelter. Nowadays (rightly or wrongly) health and safety of paying customers is paramount and can sometimes go OTT, but it is what it is.
  19. I certainly don't defend my club 'to death', I've criticised them plenty in the past for poor teams and poor racing, which weve had plenty of. The main difference is the dirt used at Lynn, its high in clay for the stocks and certainly isn't my cup of tea and with a decent amount of rain on it it soon becomes unridable. And as has been said on that thread I don’t think flying loads of riders in with a dodgy forecast to not ride two weeks running was going to happen, But there we are, it's all about opinions at the end of the day
  20. In the absence of speedway tonight why not listen to the latest episode if the Pride Of The East podcast with special guest Shane Parker https://open.spotify.com/episode/2cO8eF55m82b8IdwjeH8et?si=SlnVRGpETimly2-IIxpzJQ https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CYM4SPJR/ref=sr_1_1?fbclid=IwAR2EWcc1CfRt3hNveh97fIN5rXWWjYsTiE_ex6EIfZmm9dsD6mjWKJL1F0c&ref=d6k_applink_bb_dls&dplnkId=ede25c16-92e1-4c33-af95-b332b0f17e71
  21. I don't think any club should be castigated for making an early call if they genuinely think there's a risk of being rained off, even the unpopular ones
  22. It's also possible that the forecast they use deteriorated in those three hours.
