I assume he can't double up until he gets a non-assessed average. -

If its within the rules to make changes and a club has the finances and the ambition then I don't see the issue personally. The aim of the league is to try and win it after all. -

Sheffield's top four are going to score a LOT of points. So Lynn really need to limit Howarth and the two reserves to scraps to stand any chance. Seeing Pickering ride is going to be like seeing an ex girlfriend out with her new fella -

I tipped Ipswich for top spot and have seen nothing yet to change my mind. -

Forecast for Thursday better than it was earlier. -

I'm expecting a defeat, making sure it's a narrow one would be a pretty good outcome in the circumstances. Paddy to get a hatful again -
I'd always go with seven riders rather than six if possible and realistic.

Birmingham vs King’s Lynn, May 13th 2024

Looking at the forecast it seems like a sensible call to save everybody time, effort and money. If the forecast doesn't ring true you'd expect some to moan but based on the information available it'd be daft to fly a load of riders in and out of the UK for a very likely rain off. -
Glasgow v Edinburgh BSN Cup 10/5/24@7-30

Looks like Harris got third to me. It's a load of tosh anyway, it was a draw whatever the result of some artificial sixteenth race. -
Redcar v Berwick - 10/5/2024, Cab Direct Championship
Bagpuss replied to pvm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Glad I amused you My predictions are only ever based on honest opinions but I suspect I've got the Championship table fairly wrong as Berwick, Worky, Edinburgh & Plymouth have all started much better than I thought. Long way to go though. -
Redcar v Berwick - 10/5/2024, Cab Direct Championship
Bagpuss replied to pvm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well so far my predictions for both these teams is proving to be completely wrong I was expecting a fair bit more from Redcar's younger riders and less from Kemp, Borke & Hume. Long way to go still but Redcar already look like they are entrenched in 'one of those seasons'. -
Maybe a bit soon but you look at some of the new riders in the series this year and I'd suggest he has as much potential as some of those. The key is for him to make his mark abroad, ie start making a proper impact in Poland, and qualifying for the SEC would have been a big step forward. But I feel there is plenty more to come from him.

King’s Lynn Stars v Leicester Lions - Thursday 9th May
Bagpuss replied to StarBoy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
In which case Lynn really haven't got a leg to stand on, and why on earth was the original rained off fixture rearranged for that date? -
King’s Lynn Stars v Leicester Lions - Thursday 9th May
Bagpuss replied to StarBoy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That was my understanding too. It's quite clear they do whatever they like. This Lynn/Leicester meeting was obviously rearranged at a time when Wojdylo wasn't riding anywhere. -
Witches v Lynn May 6th 2.15pm

Seems to me that the fault for the confusion lies with the BSPL for using the phrase 'tapes up' for the start of the meeting. 'Parade at a,b,c and first race at x,y,z' would clear it all up. All of a bit of a mountain out of a molehill really though. -
King’s Lynn Stars v Leicester Lions - Thursday 9th May
Bagpuss replied to StarBoy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think the whole basis of the call off and Lynn's grievance is that the Polish meetings have been arranged at short notice and the Leicester meeting rearranged to an evening where Wojdylo was (and should be) available. All this talk of if he'd been injured and only two riders being missing (the press release states that the Museilak injury is irrelevant to their stance) doesn't really matter. Not saying I agree with it as I'm trying to get my head round it still but having seen his performance last week and how important he is to the team at the moment you can see why Lynn don't want to run without him when he's not injured. -
I think the idea that Plymouth are going to have the racing surface perfect two or three meetings in after the wettest winter on record is fanciful. If you folk don't like the shape then fair enough but the surface is bound to improve with time and the weather.

Pawlicki was brilliant at Lynn last time yet dire on Thursday so I'm mot sure it means too much, he's a different rider nowadays.

Polish Championship as in individual? If you want to sum up our season in one situation then that's it, the guy who scores 18 one week is unavailable the next with only 4.6 to get a guest in -
Recently in the NL I'd agree but when they were in the Premier League 2006-08 it was fantastic.
