  1. Generally the racing hasn't been as good at Lynn over the last twenty odd years due to the high clay content of the material used but the stock cars pay the big bills so that won't change. What I would say though is that when the home side gates so well and the away team is struggling with set ups all night then you won't get the best racing. Last night was average, we've seen better and worse at Lynn. Also no R/R, changes, crashes or false starts meant it was all done in an hour and twenty minutes which I think is about right for a speedway meeting. Nice to be home well before 10pm.
  2. I think 6-7 a meeting from Niels is all you can realistically expect at this stage of his career, the key is to get Tobi back and he & Klindt to be doing the brunt of the scoring to get the middle orglder chip in with solid contributions like last night. That said if there are still points available when Lambert becomes available I'd not be surprised to see him in and of course somebody will need to make way.
  3. Well that was a long overdue positive evening at the AFA, and at last the Sheffield hoodoo is broken. Will a ten point lead be enough? Probably not but at least we have something to hold on too. Klindt and Wojdylo were excellent and the rest of the top five were solid in support. Reserves a little disappointing but not through any lack of effort. Get Kvech in and Museilak back (and stay clear of injuries) and we look like we might be able to start winning meetings more regularly
  4. Depends how miserable you want to be really. He's a GP rider who will becomes an asset and is a better rider than the vast majority of people thought we'd realistically sign. So I'd say it's pretty good news.
  5. Amazing how many non Lynn fans are bothered
  6. I see the comedians are out in force today There's only one thing Lynn fans want it to be, let's see what later brings.

  8. Football fans do those kind of journeys every Saturday. Where there's a will there is a way.
  9. Maybe the cost of buying and transporting shale had become too much.
  10. But Lampart is an Extraliga rider and becomes an asset, can see why they have kept him.
  11. It's not really senseless or a bad decision if he's being replaced by a GP rider. He's not done a lot wrong but in terms of pedigree and what all of Brums riders should be capable of Cook was the obvious choice. I'd have him at Lynn to replace MPT, think he could do well for us. As for tonight pleased to see Redcar showing a bit of form over the last few meetings as I tipped them to finish top pre season. They are full of promising young riders but more of them need to be doing what Edwards did tonight more often.
  12. http://www.kingslynn-speedway.com/_mobile/news.php?extend.31517 Reading between the lines he's been struggling for Ostrow since injuring himself at Lynn and I expect they are stopping him from riding over here until he's fit. No doubt the 'undue pressure' Lynn talk about not putting him under would result in Ostrow making him quit Lynn, just like Tarasenko did.
  13. I'm sure that's not in accordance with the rules. Which is probably why a Poole fan suggested it
  14. He's not really what we need, but he'd be better than guests IMO.
  15. I think stuff said in the heat of the moment during a meeting is probably a red herring. However I suspect he's more likely to end up at Lynn or BV as he's ridden for those before, I expect he's already been sounded out by both. Highly unlikely he's coming over yet anyway with Poland, Sweden & GP's all in full swing. Ipswich need someone ASAP really, nobody can replace Doyle but guests and R/R are so unreliable.
  16. It's the system that's wrong, not the riders who agree to ride.
  17. Well according to the man himself on P&P night he spent 'more than ever before' on this year's 1-7 so the intention has been there this season, I guess it boils down to how much more he wants to spend and whether his enthusiasm was eroded by the two point deduction. And other clubs looking for riders makes it much harder as Lynn will get outbid. I think they need to sign someone as guests won't work.
  18. I think it depends massively on who is replacing MPT & Josh P for this fixture. I'd expect Sheffield's reserves to struggle so if Lynn's heat leaders cab score well then I reckon a win on the night is quite possible. And would be long overdue.
  19. Boughen is going to go the furthest out of that field if he keeps his feet on the ground. Very good display by Vinnie Foord too.
  20. Very much agree with that. I think he's far too good anyway but people do seems to leave huge holes for him.
  21. I think Robert probably learned a bit of a lesson from getting passed by Magic in the SWC last year. Last night he achieved four second places when going after the race leader on a poor track gives the bloke in third a chance to attack him and get past. I think that's just sensible riding. What he does need to crack is the psychology of semi finals and finals, he's not turning enough of them into podiums and wins. As for the series, Zmarzlik is once again going to win it at a canter barring disaster and for me that's the main issue, a lack of jeopardy. I'm not particularly interested in people riding into eachother and riders being fenced personally.
  22. That's a bloody good effort by Plymouth, they have a lot of spirit and determination.
  23. More significantly Ipswich have an extremely wealthy sponsor, Lynn don't.
  24. Bewley will be fine at BV, and GB will have as much chance as anybody because of where it is.
