  1. Glasgow Edinburgh Workington Somerset Plymouth Sheffield Ipswich Peterborough Newcastle Scunthorpe Berwick Rye House Redcar
  2. Just what we need, another EL v PL argument. Marvellous.
  3. I can understand the desire for brief social media updates during the close season but I would be cautious about being flooded with too much news saying very little during the winter.....as a big Norwich City fan I actually stop reading news reports during the summer as they say virtually nothing and that is the danger of bombarding your customers with empty stories is that they will switch off. I'd agree though that during the season the PR could be much, much better.
  4. Is Drury's press release serious or a wind up?
  5. Think they are based on preparation rather than quality of racing as Leicester got third in the EL!
  6. I'm not convinced a rider's award would give particularly accurate results either, riders will often prefer a track which gives a smooth ride rather than providing great racing.
  7. I assume the awards are based on preparation rather than shape/racing quality? No qualms at all with Wolves winning it but Leicester being third and the absence of several decent tracks from the PL top three is a head scratcher if not.
  8. Using the justification that the 'promoters all agreed to it' is woefully inadequate anyway Skidder.....the people in charge of our sport have shown time and time again that they are completely incapable of making decisions and regulations that benefit British speedway.
  9. Speedway riders are self employed and only sign contracts which last 8 months at a time. No rider should be an asset of any particular club, as has been said if it was ever challenged in court speedway would have to fall in line with every other sport.
  10. Love the look of this team, lots of youthful exuberance and potential improvement. Mon the Brits!
  11. Wilkinson? Unfortunately a reserve combination of Lambert & Rose would look rather weak compared to others.
  12. In amongst a book full of dreadful rules this is one of the better ones, been in place for a few seasons now I believe.
  13. I'd imagine that contingency is already in place with the signing of Fisher.
  14. Mads will be much better for us than he was for Leicester, think the track and the atmosphere will suit him much more. Like Troy we know exactly what we are getting as both have spent time at the club before, there'll be no surprises or shocks.
  15. There will be teams under the points limit because the limit is too high, that was obvious from the moment it was announced unfortunately. Kenni Larsen would be an excellent signing.
  16. Some of his inside passing in 2011 was legendary Mungo, think he finished fourth in the EL averages and put all of the league's top men in their place when they came visiting. Sadly the bad crashes and injuries he has suffered since then have caught up with him and he is a shadow of the rider he was. I'd not be amused if he was named in the 2016 line up to be honest.
  17. The need of the team strength as a whole comes before individuals. As already stated, both parties have done what is best for them and everyone is amicable, so why is there a need for any fault?
  18. He's putting himself first, as he should. Speedway riders are essentially self employed and he has done what is best for himself. I would suggest Lynn knew the risk of hanging on for Puk and therefore possibly losing Lewis, hence the amicable parting of the ways. If that has cleared things up then they were anyway as there is nothing in there we didn't already know.
  19. As I've said, why apportion any blame at all? Its just one of those things, both parties have done what they believe to be right for themselves and everyone moves on with seemingly no hard feelings. The only ones getting their knickers in a twist are one or two people on here.
  20. Excellent. So Lynn don't blame Lewis, Lewis doesn't blame Lynn, Lynn don't blame Lakeside or Ipswich, Lakeside and Ipswich have nobody to blame anything on and everyone is happy. Glad we cleared that one up.
  21. I bet it'll go up by a pound more or less across the board. What should be a ten pound sport will nearly be twenty
