  1. Why should Puk go through the card? He was average last Wednesday and last night in the GP, no reason at all why PK for example shouldn't beat him. If Lynn ride as they did at Belle Vue the other week then you (stevebrum) could ride at number one and Wolves would still win. We have seen teams be poor early in the season and lose matches they really shouldn't yet be highly competitive come the PO's so it won't mean an awful lot if we lose, apart from perhaps make any team changes happen a little quicker
  2. Love your sweeping statements stevebrum our team can go from crap to superb in the blink of an eye, really should be looking to win this but we are so inconsistent Wolves could quite easily win comfortably, and whatever the result I don't see too much of an indicator of what might happen in September's KO competition. Prediction 45-45
  3. Haven't met superguest before so would have been nice to say hello, didn't know you were there or would have sought you out!
  4. I'll be very surprised if this is anything other than a comfortable home win.
  5. I expect commitments in other countries would rule out the PL for Niklas but it would do him a lot of good IMO. Not sure he is the answer for Sheffield in place of Stead though gate.
  6. Someone mentioned that Lambert looked rough at Lynn last night, apparently he went into the medical room after his last ride and of course missed our on a deserved heat 15 appearance. Frustrating though as Sheffield should be right up his street.
  7. Yep I'm sure if it was the same incident at Armadale with Bates having one of your reserves off your opinion would be no different
  8. The fish and chips are awesome. Can see an away win here, hopefully to add to a defeat for Adz's other team Saturday lunchtime
  9. I think the biggest factor is the lack of a decent wide line, Lynn always used to reward those who were prepared to scrape the boards but doesn't now. Enjoyed the company on the terraces last night, great to catch up with Paulco and speedy17 as well as Trees and the other first bend regulars.
  10. Wolves would undoubtedly have got something if they'd used R/R, bizarre to use Howarth who as usual was all at sea at Lynn. Several hard first bends but probably three races out of fifteen with genuine passing, hoping for better next week in the British Semi. The two Lynn riders who really struggled are a worry.
  11. Decent meeting, good to see a track where both teams are able to attack it with confidence from the word go. Some spectacular action on the 3rd / 4th turns.
  12. Just seen that his visa which began a year ago has expired, if that's the case it presumably makes Proctor slightly different to the other two.
  13. If riders and clubs knew the deal before the season then that's that, no argument. Personally I'd have rather seen the three visas rejected and 'come back when you fulfilled the criteria' than this. Smith & Davies were always going to struggle after a year out. Proctor really should have reached the seven point mark last year let alone over the last few weeks.
  14. Proctor has fallen below expectations so far this year but surely sport is about what you achieve across a whole season? All seems rather harsh. If a rider receives a visa that should be that until the next season comes around. EDIT just read SCB's above post about a temporary visa. Is this because Proctor's qualifying average was achieved in the EL?
  15. Howarth usually struggles to put four smooth laps together at Lynn. Wolves reserves should do well and the top four are all perfectly capable at the AFA so could be close.
  16. Woffinden Bomber and Robert pick themselves, last spot between Cook & King with the other being reserve if they don't turn their phone off.
  17. On current form I think you are right. Why no Garrity?
  18. I thought Sky once stipulated that for them to stay involved it needed to be at least 8 teams?
  19. Hope the weather doesn't spoil this, a televised meeting between arguably the two most attractive and exciting looking sides named at the start of the season. Should be good.
  20. That is basically what GB got out of it, Lambert gained some vital experience on the international stage and have a good account of himself against some decent riders. It's a pity Cook was unable to ride as I think he would have got some benefit from it too. The fact Rory had to ride in the other spot wasn't ideal but it was a challenge meeting at the end of the day so does it really matter.
  21. I think that Lakeside were unlucky with Birks to be fair, it was reasonable to expect that he could have been a handy performer if he had been able to rediscover his pre injury form. He had done decent matches for Swindon in 2013 and nearly started last season in their top five. Perhaps he would have been given longer had Bech & AJ started the season better and the team had won more meetings. I delayed before the season started that Lakeside could potentially have jag one of the better reserve pairings and I maintain that could have been the case even though it didn't turn out that way.
