  1. The need of the team strength as a whole comes before individuals. As already stated, both parties have done what is best for them and everyone is amicable, so why is there a need for any fault?
  2. He's putting himself first, as he should. Speedway riders are essentially self employed and he has done what is best for himself. I would suggest Lynn knew the risk of hanging on for Puk and therefore possibly losing Lewis, hence the amicable parting of the ways. If that has cleared things up then they were anyway as there is nothing in there we didn't already know.
  3. As I've said, why apportion any blame at all? Its just one of those things, both parties have done what they believe to be right for themselves and everyone moves on with seemingly no hard feelings. The only ones getting their knickers in a twist are one or two people on here.
  4. Excellent. So Lynn don't blame Lewis, Lewis doesn't blame Lynn, Lynn don't blame Lakeside or Ipswich, Lakeside and Ipswich have nobody to blame anything on and everyone is happy. Glad we cleared that one up.
  5. I bet it'll go up by a pound more or less across the board. What should be a ten pound sport will nearly be twenty
  6. It would seem that the rider that can't make Wednesdays wouldn't have been in the side had Puk signed, that is the point. The possible change of race night was part of plan B should Neils say no to the UK, and of course he hadn't done so when the draft was done and Lewis signed for Ipswich. As I said, mountains and molehills. None of the four parties involved have made any kind of fuss and its beyond me why anybody on here would want to either. Boredom perhaps?
  7. Because at that time he was waiting for a yes or no from Neils? Kerr's 'actions' have made nobody look silly. Its all been blown way out of proportion.
  8. I'd say that the fact it happened so quickly suggests that Buster had been part of the discussion from the word go too, unless you are suggesting Lakeside spoke to Kerr without King's Lynn's knowledge I am sure as soon as Kerr starting talking to Ipswich Buster must have at least considered the possibility that he would lose the rider should Puk decide to cut the UK out in 2016. The fact that everything has happened so smoothly and without heels being dug in suggests all parties were prepared for the scenario and that back up plans were in place long ago. I guess we will have a better idea once Lynn's new number six is announced as at present the reserve draft list, along with the heat leader list, seems to be shrouded in secrecy. As for the change of race night I don't believe Buster would enforce such a significant change on his customers without having a pretty good idea of their preferences and tolerances. He has been running the club/stadium for well over twenty years now and I would suggest knows exactly what is what. Its not ideal to switch from Wednesday to Thursday I'll admit but i don't believe it will cause too many people much of a problem, we had several Thursday fixtures a couple of seasons ago and one would assume it didn't affect crowds levels an awful lot. Plus if Thursday is going to be one of the set race nights next year as seems quite likely then for the sake of a competitive side why not make the alteration a year early. Norfolk people are a pretty laid back bunch and fairly adaptable, plus we've all been given over three months notice so I personally don't see it as a massive deal, although others may well disagree.
  9. Both of those things can't be true.....if Buster had a back up plan as far back as you indicate then his ducks obviously were 'all in a row'. As any club would for a rider of his calibre and with such a high points limit he gave Puk time to have a think about returning next season, and it seems to me he had a plan B in place all along, but one which unfortunately means a change of race night. Don't forget though this is nothing new, we rode on plenty of Thursday nights in 2014 because of Danish fixtures. It seems Lewis was told that the race night might change but decided to sign for Ipswich anyway and join up with his Team Revolution partner, which is totally his perogative. Obviously if Buster had discussed all this with Cook weeks ago he must have had a contnigency plan, just as he has for replacing NKI. Giving one of the top riders in the world a bit of time to decide isn't dithering. Buster Chapman is many things (especially according to you) but daft isn't one of them. I'd have thought you could have just been pleased to have signed a fine reserve like Lewis without taking the opportunity to have a bleat along the way.
  10. Don't really understand why people think there has to have been some kind of fall out or that anybody has to take the blame for the Kerr situation.....circumstances have conspired against Lewis riding for both Lynn and Ipswich, just one of those things. Personally I think riding two different circuits next season at what are two decent clubs will do him a lot of good and help his career. Pretty sure we haven't seen the last of him at King's Lynn.
  11. Even if Davey is allowed to ride surely that goes against the grain of what the number seven scheme is trying to achieve?
  12. These Nicki Pedersen rumours seem to surface every year, and like every other year I'm afraid they are pie in the sky IMO, although I'd happily be proved wrong. As for Lewis Kerr then if those rumours are true and we are swapping our race night then as disappointed as I'd be to see him have to race elsewhere in the EL it only seems right to me that Ipswich (and Lewis himself in PL terms) don't get penalised. No idea how many points it would leave for the mystery man but I would speculate that the other six will be Lambert, Schlein, Batchelor, Bjerre, Rose and Kerr/Roynon.
  13. Spot on. You also have to wonder why rules and regulations always seem to favour one particular team....there are either a lot of stupid people making decisions or they are being influenced in some way. Or probably both.
  14. I've never really understood the clamber for snippets of information during the close season, its pretty obvious that riders will be announced (usually all in one go) once they are signed up. We are something like four months from the start of the season so there is no big rush. I agree that the PR during the season could be much better but press releases in the winter containing very little as there is nothing really to say seems rather pointless to me.
  15. Certainly not the end of the world but the shortage of top riders coupled with the ludicrously high points limit means there simply aren't enough to go round. I've little doubt the team will be reasonably competitive but having had a sniff of being a top side a couple of seasons ago you can't blame people for being pessimistic at the prospects for 2016. There aren't enough decent riders willing to race in the UK.
  16. I find the best way to watch any speedway on telly is recorded or delayed so that anything other than the actual racing can be 'whizzed'.
  17. Over the last five or six months I've found myself drifting away from domestic speedway after thirty plus years of almost fanatical support, I haven't been on here for a long while and I think I attended seven meetings last season after years and years of 30+ season in, season out. Suffice to say even before Puk decided to sit out the UK (don't blame him or any GP rider) the coming EL season looked unappealing with more big names opting out and a too high a points limit controlling the riders who are left. No doubt an extra pound will be lumped on admission for what is an annually weaker product and overall I can't see me even making the seven meetings I did last season in 2016. The enthusiasm just isn't there any more which a few years ago would have been heartbreaking but just doesn't seem to matter. Hopefully Buster can use his five years to sort things out but without support I'm not sure he can do an awful lot.
  18. Great to see Kozza back amongst the points. Will definitely try to get to Peterborough to watch these two sides.
  19. Did he do the same to his SGP colleagues?
  20. As I said on another thread let's get the FBI in to sort out British Speedway once they are done with FIFA.
  21. Fifteen real points from the three guests is poor, might have had a chance of a point with all our riders. Time for Kenny to go I'm afraid, has let the team down once too often. Three new signings required to get things back on track.
  22. And in the interests of balance a big fat zero at Lynn last Thursday.
