Workington V Berwick 03/05/15 19:30 Hrs (lc)

Wrong thread. -
Pretty poor that he binned off EL and an international meeting but turned out in the PL. Shows a lack of ambition to improve UNLESS he really struggled last night having felt better than he did on Thursday.

I would wait until all fixtures have been ridden before calling any predictions rubbish.

Lambert and Schlein?

How to chuck away a point, by Poole Pirates.

I think I'd be embarrassed to pick up my wage packet tonight if I was Zagar.

I'm sure there is an Arena - loving ringer already lined up.

Looks like an away win on paper, might be different on shale though.
-
With the team they have built BV should be able to go anywhere and pick up a point really, subject to decent available guests for their double uppers.
-
Even without PK that's a pretty poor effort from Wolves. Freddie, Wells & JT should be scoring more than that. I wonder which poor sods are going to get the chop when the brat's ban runs out?

The BBC forecast still has heavy rain from mid afternoon til evening across most of West Norfolk. Have had one or two meaty showers where I am so I think Lynn has got off lightly if you've had none yet.

2015 Speedway Gp Challange
Bagpuss replied to OveFundinFan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
They represent GB as well as themselves IMO. It's a poor reflection on speedway over here and doesn't bode well for the SWC either. -
Howarth isn't great at Lynn. In any case I think it will be 1-0 to the weather.

Rye House V Somerset 3/5/15
Bagpuss replied to cityrebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Just noticed that Eastbourne were actually 13-11 UP when it was called off, the only point at which they were behind was 2-4 after heat one. A double header on a sunny day needs lots of dirt to begin with or some carefully adding between matches and regular grading and watering. Popular opinion is that Rye is too tight for lots of muck from the beginning and it sounds like Andrew could have managed the situation with regular track attention had he been in charge. Not ideal for the paying customer but better than what did come to pass. -

Why on earth would Eastie want it called off on the basis of being behind, when they were only trailing by two points with nine heats left? From that article it sounds like Len needs to pack up and let Andrew take the reins. -
And he owns a capacitor......

What an embarrassing weekend for British speedway. -

Wolves look like the surprise packets so far this year. Still question marks over their away form but you could say the same about everyone bar Coventry. -

Burgergate anyone? Unfortunately because of the p!ss weak governing body in this country these things will never be cracked down on. -
King's Lynn V Buxton (nl) - 1st May 2015

Having two meetings in three days is asking for trouble but how hard are the promotion trying to get people through the door? How about offering those who went on Wednesday reduced admission for last night? Or having a big marketing push in the town centre yesterday with fliers, one of the riders with their bike, money off vouchers etc? Or admitting people to an NL meeting free as a one off to show them what they are missing? It's disappointing that crowds for the NL matches are so poor but perhaps enough isn't being done to attract people. -

The Dark Lord Ford had been doing it for years and nobody pulls him up on it, should be no surprise that others are following suit. -

Have to agree with this, it's not ideal but having rider(s) missing because they have improved sufficiently to gain a PL place should be a source of pride for supporters of that side. Like it or not the third division is essentially a training league to provide good young British riders for higher level racing.
