  1. no but they were born in the same country wernt they holding a british passport dosnt make someone british just what is needed to be classed as british ? so as most of the edinburgh fans are happy hes british because he holds a british passport now what happens if he decides to go back to australia does he need to aply for a visa? nothing against the lad or the team as such but things just need to be made the same for all teams and riders i believe he lives here full time and as ive said in previous post that should count for something but just how much is the debate i dont class davey as a rider that is on a false average if he starts down at reserve but many others of a similar standard have had to come in on a 5 or 7 average some made it some were sent packing its not easy and its not fair young riders need a chance but they need a fair chance aswell
  2. he didnt gain a avererage last year so should he be classed as a new rider like mason compton and others were last year not sure of full details regarding him qualifying as british but he came over as a aussie so cant see why hes any different to the likes of ty proctor who was made to go home or mason campton who was made wait till he qualified and the others whove been made to stay or go back to australia yes living here full time like rusty harison did without going home should count for something but not the full on 2 pt british rider thingy
  3. does davey come in on a proper old average or assessed average ?
  4. i dont mind if he does go well on his return to derwent park as i pay my money to be entertained and when on form he can entertain (when he wants to and not dropping his average)
  5. mitchell davey does seam to have a following at amerdale always well turned out and decent style but never seams to pull the points in
  6. why not i know its hard if you are looking for work but i know plenty who do work and are worse off than many unemployed people my own son has struggled to find work and i know its hard but its not a reason to get stuff like this cheaper you get the same entertainment as the full price paying people hope you look after ryan blacklock up there a fellow cumbrian and all that
  7. arnt your assets used as your bond ? if you dont have assets you must place the required amount in a bond so if you sell assets then you need to use that money as the bond so i was led to believe anyway
  8. ryan blacklock did have a pritty good meating as a guest for workington and actually won a race if he is to ride in the prem league as weve known it then im sure there is some improvement in him hes been up and down in the national league so if hes to continue in the sport at whatever level needs to find something and stepping up a league might just be the thing to make him up his game
  9. wasnt it might be tempted to carry on if he got a decent sponsor to help with costs
  10. if there world class there worth every penny speedway riders are very brave or stupid men who risk everything for fairly litte gain for most of them footballers risk very little for a lot that much money they dont know what to do with it so most end up addicted to something either drink and or drugs or gambling or prostitues motor bike racers risk it all for the love/thrill of the sport but if he and others havnt been paid then the money hasnt gone to them has it yes they might still be owed it but the question every one is interested in is just where has the money gone as it looks like theres no trace of it going out
  11. good luck with that not been the best prepaired track in recent years
  12. not sure what to make of that team yes you have some riders capable of beating anyone on there day but too be honest that line up wouldnt have looked out of place in 2016 prem league
  13. we all know what it is in time im sure it will change for any newcomers but alls well so far we know what section our beloved prem league is our league was that good the toffee nosed uper league took the title but will it give them as good entertainment as weve had
  14. i agree to a point somany are obsessed by averages yes thats what they have achieved and i understand that but it dosnt paint the true picture of a rider or team
  15. im not saying any should be mooved im saying whats the difference between 1 being south and 1 being north theres always fans that have to travel longer distance than others dont think they should be same tracks year after year mind
  16. gp been at cardiff for years and 4's at peterborough and the pairs at somerset all of them just down the road for us proper northeners im sure glasgow will get a decent crowd for the riders championship after all glasgow, edingbrugh, redcar, berwick, newcastle and workington are all closer than what fans have had to travel for the bspa meetings thats been southern bassed for last few years down south
  17. thanks for that topsoil not very often we get a posotive post from a berwick fan id say thats a pritty honest and true review
  18. wish more SPEEDWAY fans were like you halifaxtiger a true speedway fan rather than a fan of a certain rider or team been reading your posts for a good while and not many times could i say that i totally disagreed with your coments in a big way some just havnt got a clue what happens on track they just judge by the end of 4 laps
  19. get the track back to how it was a few years back it was always good racing until they messed round with the track
  20. . think i heard edinburgh are trying to sell him pitty the money laura gave to them to help them stay in buisness couldnt be used to buy him also i would think hes been priced fairly high and if any club do try to buy him it will be yet another sale agreed by arbitration in the end
  21. thats the thing almost impossible to get 7 riders who are nailed on improvers if it was that easy all teams would be fitting for league title in last month of season if roynon gets half as good as he was before a few bad injuries hell be good enough home and away proctor can be a good rider again and mason has shown he can do it just needs a good crew around him to help with setups and such as was prooved when he finished season off on rickys engine
  22. im a little surprised that there seams to be a few who rate matt williamson and i agree he has good style and can gate well more often reserves are only judged on there avergae and matts in my opinion is lower that what i think he should be i really expected him to up it by about another point last year a lot of reserves can be miles ahead in heat 2 at home but cant score another point in the meeting then theres some who come home third in heat 2 then beat a oposition heat leader in there next race you ever seen tj round a decent speedway track
  23. are you looking at same line up im not saying the team looks unbeatable home or away but cant really say it looks disapointing jorgansan is a young rider on the up ty and adam have been at a real good level before and im sure can improve ill hold my hands up and say ty is a rider id never thought off and maybe wouldnt have signed dont really know anything about rob shuttleworth but have heard him mentioned a lot on forums so he must have shown signs lets just hope his winter job dosnt cause any problems and hes also a cumbrian so he must be ok type of guy lots of teams going with 2 real low riders at reserve to gain strength higher up nobody knows how its gonna work out with the new pointslimit and team setup but hey im not too bothered with the team we have at start off season yes i support my nearest speedway team but it dosnt look too weak too me so far
