That’s the only conclusion, but Cook was guest for the wrong rider!
-
There was some exceptional racing that night, the previous night was raced in torrential rain if I recall correctly.
-
That was because on-line sales were low (possibly because the meeting was expected to be on TV), I wouldn’t rely on that happening again especially for a local derby.

Rising Stars achieve an average and take the appropriate place in the team’s 1-7. -
Brummies Season Halted |

The riders will stay in Birmingham's 1-7 so will be free to take guest bookings. Their income will be delayed, not lost. -
I can’t see any circumstance where using a facility under Reg 12.4 would mean an RS rider in the 1-5 would have to be replaced by a guest.
-
Or RR, which would be the likely replacement in the majority of cases.

The referee's match result sheet (http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/21results/ipswich_10.06.21_res.pdf) shows Craig Cook with an average of 7.59 as I suggested, rather than the figure of 7.82 given in the Green Sheet averages (issues 3 and 7). It will be interesting to see Issue 8 of the Green Sheets when it is released.

I have always put everything in to my racing and it has been the main focus in my life for several years now making this one of the most difficult decisions I’ve ever had to make but I have decided to retire from racing speedway. It was my dream to become a speedway rider from an early age when I was just a fan but only came in to the sport late getting my first ride in the national league at the age of 22. Since then I’ve been able to live my dream, racing professionally with and against my heroes and in front of fans around the country. Unfortunately I’ve also experienced some very nasty injuries including a reoccurring shoulder injury and most recently 2 broken backs. Having to recover from these injuries and then missing time with the pandemic has made coming back to racing very difficult and I am struggling with the mental aspect of it all. I have therefore made the very difficult decision to walk away. I have always given everything to my racing and In order to race speedway at a high level you need to be 100% committed and able to put your neck on the line every night no matter what and for me the want to do that is no longer there. There are so many people I want to thank that have supported me over the years including all my sponsors, the supporters and management at every single club ive ridden for, the guys at AMSA for teaching me how to ride a bike, Paula and Matt Clarke for their continuous support, Steve Williams for his help with all the injuries and Brian Clarke for his dedication mechanicing for me but most importantly thank you to my family who have been by my side every step of the way. It’s been fun! Tom

I keep repeating that this option is no longer available. Team line-up queries are resolved via the ‘Speedway Line-Ups’ process. This website is to be used to allow promoters, team managers and trusted club officials to post their team line-ups prior to the meeting taking place. Team line-ups must be logged in accordance with the SCB/BSPA rules. This website is restricted and is accessible to members only. Those that are permitted to either post team news or view the contents of the site are required to login. Permitted users login details are provided by either the SCB or BSPA offices. Permitted users of this website are as follows: Promoters, Team Managers, trusted Club Officials, BSPA Office staff, SCB Office staff & Licenced SCB Referees.

Poole v Berwick 9th June 2021. Championship
NeilWatson replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I don’t believe the TR exists now, TS only, I can’t see it mentioned in the regulations (13.6.4). All match scores total 90 or less, which seems to confirm its demise. -
You need to look back to Issue 3 to see where any confusion may have arisen.
-
New Green Sheets will be issued whenever there is a team change, in addition to the end of month revisions.
-
That won’t be necessary, worst case Cook will guest at No 1, with RR for Heeps
-
Ipswich have stated Craig Cook's average as 7.59 and Paul Starke's as 4.27 which gives a team total of 35.41. Chris Louis is a shrewd Promoter, and also a Director of BSPL, so I suggest the Green Sheet will show those figures.
-
That can’t happen nowadays, any questions about team line-ups are resolved before the meeting via the ‘team line-up’ website.

The Great British Speedway Swindle

You clearly don’t book many rock concert tickets - service charges there dwarf any charge levied by speedway clubs. -
8 day rule applies to guest appearances only

Kent Kings v Glasgow Tigers 8/6/21 @6.30 pm
NeilWatson replied to blueherb777's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
RR in Ht 4, TS in Ht 12 and Ht 15 plus his four programmed rides. -
So the conversion factor is 1.5 confirming Starke at 4.27. The new GSAs will show the declaration and individual averages in due course. My guess is that Cook’s average should be 7.59
-
As far as I can see the conversion factor is 1.6 - it was given as that in the 2020 regulations and hasn’t been amended in the 2021 amendments. However Ipswich quoted 4.27 for Starke and I agree that wouldn’t fit
-
Protests against team line-ups don’t exist now, any discrepancies are dealt with between Promotions via the team line-up website.
-
Yes, he would guest (or sign now I’ve read back up the thread!) on his 1/6 Premiership average of 7.82
